The Instax Square SQ1 features full automatic shooting (no longer necessary to select from different lighting modes), and it also has a selfie mode with selfie mirror. The camera comes with wrist strap, batteries and a stick-on thumb grip. It does NOT come with film, so make sure you grab some!

    This was so very helpful! Thank you for making this video and for speaking so clearly about the camera and how it works. This is my first camera and I feel like I can confidently dive into experimenting with it without making rookie "mistakes" since the film is relatively expensive. You saved me time, frustration, and money.

      Man not trying to bring you down and make you upset, but you should of get the sq6 (the older version which came about 2 years ago) which has many modes ( auto, macro, double exposure, landscape, dark, and last light) so sq1 does not have these. Sorry. Oh and you can turn off the fladh in sq6 and a ten seconds timer

    The only problem I think I have with this is the placement of the button to shoot a picture is right where you would hold it to turn the camera on. Causing accidental shoots of our blinded faces or the wall lol! Other than that we are having a ton of fun with it 😄

    this was super helpful. I was tossing up whether to get this for Christmas to shoot some fun family photos and for a holiday to Japan next year and I think this really sold me on it. The film is kind of expensive but honestly for the experience and nostalgia I'm willing to cough up.

      If I remember right, that’s mostly for Polaroid! These are instax film and so you don’t need to do that. I still do out of habit, but it’s not necessary.

    Hi! I'm really really struggling in deciding between getting the SQ1 or the SQ6. I would mostly use it for spontaneous moments, so I don't mind the "point and shoot" character of the SQ1, but I really love that with the SQ6, you can turn off the flash. What's most important to me: which of both camera's will most likely provide sharper pictures? Thanks so much already!

    I had a couple of naive questions-
    1) when i look into the viewfinder, i see my composition, but then when it comes out the center part shifts towards left and there is more on the film than what i saw. Is this common for SQ 1?
    2) what happens if I block the flash in a good lit day e.g. with a back tape or like finger?

    • @anni9777
      @anni9777 ปีที่แล้ว

      For you first question: ist this an issue when you are using the selfie mode? Or generally?
      And for the second: If your in such a bright place where you would normally turn off the flash if you could, then it either blocks it completely (with tape) or makes it less effective. Depending on what kind of pictures you want to shoot and at which time, could get better pictures

    I don’t understand why everyone is saying sq6 is cheaper than sq1? Where do you find cheaper prices? From my research, sq6 is about $160 and sq1 is $100. Will at make a big difference with the print ? I don’t mind spending the extra $60 if the photo quality is better?
