Awesome. I’ve been testing & flying helmet mounted displays in the F-15 for years and am excited for a similar tech to come to the experimental market. Happy to help if you need! G3X system on RANS S-21 bushplane
Looks interesting. And unlike a windshield mounted HUD, it would always be within your field of view. Going to take some refinement in the hardware, though. Those glasses have very chunky temples/arms, so they probably would not work with over-the-ear style headsets. You'd need to go with an in-the-ear headset, like a Bose Proflight or similar.
Ya- I have been thinking about this for years... the UI here is critical, can not saturate the user with information just because you can post it to the glasses... AOA and CDI seem most useful as they dont take much real estate and can be processed easily by the brain.
That’s really cool! I’m glad to see Cecil’s work in there, too. I’m assuming there is no way for the glasses to know which way you are looking, so no ADS-B targets yet, but having the critical approach (or departure) info while in partial IMC would be great.

Very Cool - Absolutely where I think we are going.

This is really cool! Would love to see more if there is a way for you to show it somehow

Perscription progressive bifocals lens capable?
Hud+adsb data on your eyes will improve pilot skills
Having traffic would be great. But sounds like it’s not really designed for that right now. More like just straight out in front of you HUD like view.
I am in the process of building my G3X panel for my RV7, What would I need to do to incorporate this ?
