Been using a Vango 2 man last year. Brother and myself did part of the Cape Wrath Trail. However only myself going back to finish it! So need a reliable one man tent. Either Akto or Soulo? Tried Akto but tight for head room, but lighter. Soulo is better for head room but heavier! Will use around Lake District and other Scotland trips too.
Mourne mountains?.....my grandpas house has a direct view of them from his window in rathfriland. We drove through them last year...absolutely brilliant. Hope to get back over soon
Nice 👍 like the soulo in 2 minds about it and Akto. I’m 6ft 2 tall, people say it’s not as “long” inside the Soulo compared to Akto?? Some say long mattress and bag gets damp as the touch inner? How is condensation? Cheers Neil
Thanks Neil 👍 I havent heard anyone say the Akto is longer than the Soulo. The Hilleberg family designed this for their son who was 6ft2 so at least you know it will suit you 👍😂 condensation levels are great if you keep open the main vent at the top 👍 hoping to do a bit of a review with it v the Laser from Terra Nova just to show the main size differences
@@neilfarrimond8910 I've usually always carried my tents like this. It just means if the inner floor is dirty, it doesnt get on the outer and if the outer is wet, it doesnt soak the inner. What tent are you using yourself at the minute?

Your sleeping the wrong way round.your head should be up other end with the room for your shoulders plus the vent for the condensation is that end.cheers .enjoyed watcing.got a soulo meself!
Enjoyed watching this, brilliant stuff, I had my first dehydrated meal today and funnily enough was same as the one you were having, chicken tikka with rice, went down well, looks like a cracking tent, funny your comments on the laser, I've just bought one, the jury is still out

The Laser holds a close place in my heart but I'm glad its not being used anymore, only in emergencies as I've still not sold it 😂 the 2 end poles can be annoying to get right when setting up but once this is mastered and it's nice and secure, it doesnt move through the night 👍 best of luck with it, let me know how you get on
AMC Outdoors laser got returned, after breaking camp on my second outing the clip that attaches the inner to the outer was all shredded. I have just ordered a trusty Vango which is only 100+ grams heavier and less than half the price 😂 Interested in the soulo, looks sweet...

Why do you carry the inner and outer in separate dry bags?
