A job done right is a job you only need to do once. Just got my dad's 2001 Tacoma with only 47k miles on it. I'll have to give this a shot. Thanks for the video!
On your website it says that you can also use 1156: GTR Armor lights for the rear turn signals. Do these lights and the ones in this video both work for the rear turn signals?
Headlight Revolution With LED installed in main cabin light, I have to turn on 1 of the map lights for main light to glow 100%. Otherwise it's 50%. I appreciate your help with this issue.
We can totally get you set up there, I have linked the products that you will need below! Let us know if you have any other qustions, we are here to help! Brake Light Bulbs: www.headlightrevolution.com/1157-gtr-lighting-armor-bulbs-LED.BUL.1157.ARM_2?quantity=1
will these bulbs and same process work for a 1995 Tacoma? I'm assuming it will since it's all the same body and what not but would like to triple-check before purchasing. Thank you!
Wow you have the original 95 1/2 model year!! I would double check bc I had a 98 mode year and now a 04 and the light housing is different from what I remember... the 1st gen Tacoma went through a few face lifts and I believe one of the bigger changes was taillights and grille...
Looks like Tacoma world has a diagram for that truck! www.tacomaworld.com/threads/1st-generation-toyota-tacoma-2003-left-rear-tail-light-wiring-diagram.636544/
I swapped my oem taillights for some after market ones. The after market ones use 1156 and 1157 bulbs where as the oem uses 921 1156 bulbs. Everything was plug and play. But now my dash, ac unit and shifter lights come on when stepping on the brake pedal. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it thanks.
I've read that this can be caused by noisy LEDs. I believe there is a filter you can put on them that should help. (I'm no expert, but I read this while looking for headlights)
@@a.guzman1512 Glad you figured it out. Just swapped some taillights this week and noticed they etched the bulb sizes on the taillight housing. Good place to keep it if you ask me.
Wow! Wish I had seen this before I got those crappy autozone leds. Can't see crap with those. I do have pods on my headache rack but those are too much for most parking lots lol. I have a 99 tacoma so I'll have to try these out soon! Also going to aftermarket tail light housings so I hope these transfer over.
Either i was sent the wrong set for my 01 tacoma or they changed the design because mine did not look like this. I had a gray rubber not blue. While these are plug and play, its a pain to get the led to fit perfectly in the socket. The rubber around the bottom of the light is too thick and nearly impossible to fit in all the way. Mine are half in the socket and just left them like that.
The gray rubber bulbs are the newest generation, you have the proper set. This is an older video where the older reverse light bulb was used. They are a tight fit in the housing but it's made to be this way to prevent water intrusion! The trick is to remove the rubber collar off the bulb and insert this first. It'll take some convincing to fit in there but you'll get it. Once installed, simply slide the bulb back into the rubber collar and you should be good to go!
Video turned a multi hour job into a 5 minute job. Thanks for posting.

you can just add an LED flash relay. easier and cleaner and reversible.
I like the highper flashing!!! Gets people's attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's for sure!
If I just change the reverse and brake light, do I still need a resistor?
Nope! Only for the rear turn signals!
I got a 1989 toyota truck what led bulbs need for turn signal, brake, reverse, thank you I hope I got an answer this time, cheers from ontario ca
Do I need a resistor for every ligth buld? For the rear and the front, thank you, cheers from ontario ca

Does the 1000 lumens reverse light come like the carbit bulbs in this video??
saludos desde Costa Rica....Pura Vida.....Gracias por el video.
What size resistor is that? You have multiple on your website
50w 6ohm.
How do you remove the 3rd brake light so you can put a led
Its a bitch you got to remove the headliner and to do that you gotta remove a bunch of shit.
Do the super bright reverse lights have any heat issues in these housings that you're aware of?
No they should have ventilation/ heat issues!
Will these reverse lights work on the 1996 Toyota Tacoma? Or if not could the tail light housing be upgraded to the 2001-2004 to make them work?
They should absolutely work!
Also check the molex plug...i found the pins corroded inside...could cause a bad connection
Great advice! Those pins can be a pain.
Where would you mount load resistor when upgrading interior cabin light? Exact same truck as this plow truck.
You wouldn't need any load resistors for your interior lights.

You got some defective LEDs lol
Is there any conversion kits for “insert and turn clock wise” (carbide) to the pressure plug-in bulb (gtr 1000 lumen reverse lights)?
What style of bulb do you need for your specific housings?
Anything that fits this type of housing for spyder brand, part # spy5007872

Not compatible with “spider” brand tail lights used for a 2001 tacoma. I think the reverse lights are only compatible with stock tail lights
Taillight depths may vary depending on the housings, the Spyder taillights are too shallow to fit the bulb properly, they fit OEM perfectly though!
Headlight Revolution please send me the link to the EOM , I’ll be exchanging these. Thanks!
Dab of Dielectric Grease on all sockets ....
Those are not going to get touched again for ages .....so protect with the grease ....
