I know there's debate about droid sentience and all that, but even so, having an army of machines fight your enemies strikes me as a lot more ethical than creating life and then sending them off to die in war only to throw away the survivors 😟
I adore the droid army! I don't know why, but I find them all so cute or funny, love all their designs! Ofc I don't think I'd find them cute if they were aiming at me, but as long as I remain an outergalatic observer, they're goobers in my heart
if Republic clone army is like a 5 star gourmet restaurant than Separatist droid army is the family diner that provides way more value for its price. and Empire is Mcdonalds
Another in-universe explanation is due to droid hate after the clone wars, they were seen as "monsters" essentially by the greater galaxy due to the destruction they brought and the rebels saw them partially as such because most lived through it and didn't want such bad publicity. Only the younger generation such as luke and co. would not think of them as such (at the very least the open minded ones) but would still be discouraged to say such by the older members. That is just my option.

I love the J-1 Proton cannon, the B2 Super Rocket Droid (the one with 4 Barrels), the B2, and who doesn’t love the Ocutuptara, also the magna Guard
