14000 RPM - Reuse 12V Super High Speed DC Motor from DEAD Floppy - Brushless BLDC Motors

- In this video I am going to salvage high speed brushless DC motor 12 volt from an old floppy drive.
This motor is 20 years old and runs at a very high RPM of 14000 at an input of 20 volts DC. This BLDC motor has large number of poles and has a very small Core.
Since the floppy drives are discarded so i thought about salvaging the dc motor from it.
In reality, it is only 5 volt motor but because I have a 12 to 48 volts brushless motor controller so I had to run it between 12v to 20v.

do you see those pwm 1m dmo ixp wire you must connect it to pluse signal to run it if not ve pwm sig it wont run event connect pwer 5v in

Точить медное жало паяльника это глупость Я всегда отковываяю молотком наковальне придавая нужную форму наконечника.Лучше по моему делать четырёхгранный наконечник отковывая его на конус.При отковывании медного жала зерна металла уплотняются и тогда медь не будет так быстро выгорать.

today I'm hacked floppy disk motor the same model , shorted wires blue and red ( 6 & 7 respectively ) put a jumper on pin 17 &18, 23&24 but it run very slow

you soldered four conductors from the motor, and apparently connected them according to a three-phase circuit-where did the fourth conductor go?
The forth is all the wires together. It does go anywhere!

your video skiped at 5:13 of cables connections, winding has four outputs, you have connect with three wire only, how ????
It's a star connection. The output with three wires together isn't needed to be connected.
4th one is tapping point which remains disconnected.
There were 4 terminals from the stator, but you added 3 wires. Which one is not required? You should clarify the connections.
