- Beschleunigungsduell zwischen einem Audi A4 Avant quattro S-Line und einem BMW 3er Sports Line. Der BMW hat 70PS mehr wegen des zusätzlichen Turbos, aber hat kein Sportfahrwerk. Außerdem die schlechteren Reifen, die Automatik schaltet etwas langsamer und xDrive ist nicht ganz so ausgereift wie quattro. Hat der Audi trotzdem eine Chance?

It's 68 HP and 130 Nm difference between the cars. In spite of that fact I think Audi is doing great in this race :)

Ein Quattro ist bei diesem Leistungsunterschied ein erheblicher Nachteil. Er wiegt um einiges mehr.
Die Reifen machen bei diesem rennen keinen unterschied. Oder hast du mit deinem 100PS Golf nur durch bessere Reifen eine chance gegen einen 160PS Golf ^^ Das ist ja lächerlich der vergleich.
Ein A6 3.0TDI mit 313PS ist der richtige gegner für den BMW und kein anderer. Gleich klasse, gleiche Leistung.
Der A4 3.0 hat nicht 313 ps du verwechselst ihn mit dem A6 3.0 bi-tdi

Der A6 3.0 TDI hat mittlerwile 4 verschiedenen Leistungsstufen. Die stärkste Variante ist der A6 3.0 TDI competition mit 326PS.

Doch schon der Audi kommt am Start viel besser weg als der BMW , aber klar am ende ist die Leistung viel wichtiger trotzdem hat Audi bei dem wichtigsten Faktor einen Vorteil.. Die Reifen!! Reifen sind das A und O bei Autos ohne die würde es kein Kontakt zwischen Auto und Straße geben.

It depends where you come from, for example the 335d in the US has a lot less PS than the European car. Also BMW are famous for understating the power put out by their engines.

I assure you, that F30 330D xDrive is quicker than B8 A4 3.0 TDI Quattro. BMW 0-100 in 5,4s, that Audi B8 in 6,1s. I have F31 330D xDrive and I was checking the performace on proffesional Racelogic as I was doing remap. Before remap the car accelerated as they write in 5,4 - 5,5. Now 4,8-4,9 :-)
Who remapped the car and what are the hp and nm now if you dont mind?
It's amazing how evenly matched these two are up to certain speeds, especially considering the BMW does 0-62 in 4.8s and has 313hp!!!

M van M: we do use the launch control but the traffic lights there stay on red for like several minutes, but not for a constant period of time, but depending on the general traffic. Therefore you have to guess when exactly the light turns green and you can not have the car in the launch control state the entire time, since it's too straining for the engine and transmission. Thus, not every start was perfectly timed with LC.
What camera is that on the car that is following the Audi/BMW. Is it a dashcam? Crystal clear man.

weil sich ja im Straßenverkehr auch nur Autos begegnen die absolut ausgewogen sind? Davon abgesehen haben wir zwar einigermaßen gute Connections, aber deswegen leider noch nicht permanent Zugriff auf die komplette Automobile Modellpalette. Wenn du uns Testfahrzeuge zur Verfügung stellen möchtest sag Bescheid wann und wo wir die abholen können ;).
Warum so persönlich genommen?
Ich hab nur für die Leute die sagen "Der ist besser als der bla bla" etwas eingeworfen. Aber das man sich als Repräsentant des Videos so angegriffen fühlt ist mir schleierhaft... just saying...
Im Straßenverkehr begegnen sich viele gleichwertige Autos, sonst wäre jedes Auto ein Unikat und es würde die Serienproduktion nicht geben... Wenn man aber schon solch einen Test "versucht" sollte man es halt doch, mit identischen machen/vergleichbaren Fahrzeugen machen.
Sonst ruft man nur die ganzen Fan-Boys auf den Plan. Autos sind Geschmackssache.

ja aber wenn dann zum zwanzigsten mal der gleiche Kommentar kommt langweilt es irgendwann. Wir erheben hier weder den Anspruch auf Vergleichbarkeit, noch journalistische Objektivität oder sonstwas und behaupten das auch nirgendwo. Wir ham Spaß mit geilen Autos und stellen hier und da mal was davon ins Netz, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Dann hier ständig unterstellt zu bekommen wir wären unfair, würden sachen manipulieren, wären Fanboys oder was weiß ich nicht noch alles ist n bissel nervig. Als nächstes wird noch kritisiert dass der BMW dreckiger gewesen ist als der Audi, das is ja n unfairer Nachteil ... da muss man schon die Kirche im Dorf lassen. Bei TH-cam sind immer alle Experten, aber von den Wenigsten hat man mal was gesehen dass diese Haltung plausibel untermauern würde. In 10 Sekunden n Schlaumeier-Kommentar zu schreiben den man am Stammtisch aufgeschnappt hat is easy, tatsächlich was zu leisten nicht ganz so sehr ...
Wie schon gesagt, es war mehr an die Leute gerichtet, die sich hier permanent auf die Eier gehen, welches Auto das bessere ist!
Klar könnt ihr nur das Umsetzen, was euch die Autos anbieten. Ich sag ja nicht, dass es schlecht ist, ich wollte nur feststellen, dass es eben im Vergleich hinkt. Das raffen nur leider viele Leute nicht, was ihr ja selbst an euren ganzen Comments unter euren Videos feststellen könnt.
Die Idee und die Umsetzung ist nicht schlecht und auch gut gemeint, keine Sorge.

Ihr habt echt ein tolles Video gemacht! Respekt an den Audi Fahrer - aber ich glaube wirklich man kann aus dem 335d noch mehr raus holen. Meiner kommt im Mai - bin schon sehr gespannt... ;-)
Mein Kommentar kommt vielleicht 5 Jahre zu spät aber wollte trotzdem etwas schreiben.
Sind beides coole Autos und ich bin mir dessen bewusst dass das kein Vergleich ist (sieht jeder halbwegs normale Mensch der sich ein bißchen mit Autos auskennt) aber dennoch ist interessant zu sehen wer und wo besser ist, wie im Video zu sehen ist, ist der BMW bei gleichem Start schneller "aber" wenn man von den Vergleichswerten/Technische Daten ausgeht und sieht wie gut der A4 trotz seinem Mangel an PS, Drehmoment und höheren Gewichtes geht, dann ist der A4 eindeutig schneller! 😄👏 (Ich bin weder Audi noch BMW Fanboy, sind beides tolle Autos/Marken)

The 335d xdrive isn't bad off the line but in my stock s4 B8.4 Avant I leave it standing after a while. Not bad motor - great if you want power and economy.

Falsch. Bei der neueren f-serie hat der 335d die selbe Auspuffanlage wie der 330d.
Nur der 335i hat links und rechts ein Endrohr.

Why they didn't use the launch control on the 335xD? It does 0-100 in 4.9. The audi not under 6 seconds.

I don't get why people fight over this they are both nice cars why fight over which is better me personally I like Audi I test drove a 335 and I liked it I just didn't like the way it steered and seeing how I needed all-wheel drive I went with Quattro and decided to get an S4 and couldn't be happier love the handling and the way it feels to drive I just got exhaust, intake for the supercharger, and rims for my summer set can't wait to get more

Unfortunately (because you were thinking numbers don't matter) numbers do matter!, especially nowadays with the modern technology and advances in drivetrains (transmission/suspensions/engines/etc) from these top brands. Their efficiency at putting power to the road is so great that HP/TQ numbers actually DO mean a thing now and is "one" huge deciding factor in these races
I think we can all agree on that the 4-wheel drive on both cars is basically the same, but its important that your car has 4-wheel drive because 4>2.
120kg difference aswell with these 2 cars, the avant is 70kg heavier than a4 saloon, which you have to take into account. Its like having an average weight 6ft person riding shotgun. Not much in it to 60mph though, surprised with the Audi to be honest.

BMW has more power and 68 HP difference is not fair. AUDI has same power 3.0TDI engine but they are not using it on A4
So if it is fair what is the A4 model that works for 335D?
That's as good as an A4 diesel gets. A better question would be which BMW model is compatible with the A4 3.0tdi, and that would be the 330d xdrive. The 35d is quite unique.

Im Bereich bis 100 etwa, tun sich die beiden ja nicht viel.Erst darüber wird sich der 335D mit Sicherheit absetzen und zwar deutlich.

Das war bis zum E90 so. Beim F30 sind sie auch beim 335d beide Links, da er den EURO6-Umweltstandard erfüllt und aufgrund von Filtern usw. kein Platz mehr ist für eine beidseitig-doppelläufige Auspuffanlage.

Der Vergleich ist sehr unfair! Anscheinend spielen das nicht ausgereifte XDrive und die angeblich schlechteren Reifen eine große Rolle, jedoch sagt ihr nichts darüber das der BMW 70Ps mehr hat und kein Kombi ist!!! (ein Kombi ist natürlich etwas schwerer) Und übrigens bringt einem ein Sportfahrwerk bei einem Beschleunigungsduell nichts! Schade... es wäre fairer gewesen den BMW mit M Sportpaket gegen einen S4 mit rund 300 PS gegen den BMW antreten zu lassen!

die 35d Motoren sind einfach die Killer was Diesel's angeht. ich selbst fahre einen gemachten 335i aber was Durchzug und Beschleunigung angeht sind die brutal... und wenn da noch Downpipes LLK und Software drin sind heißt es 7xxNM und tschüss :)
Everyone please stop the video at 15 seconds. Look at the torque lvl between the Audi and BMW. Thats why the BMW won. 500 Nm (Audi) vs 630 Nm (BMW). Hmm doesn't take a dummy, oh wait sorry there are some dummies who just think one car is superior than the other. Get your numbers straight.

In der Fahrzeugkategorie leider nicht! Es gibt den 313 PS BiTurbo-Diesel im Audi A6 und im SQ5. Ich finde es auch sehr schade, dass er nicht im A4/A5 verfügbar ist (sonst stünde er wahrscheinlich vor der Tür :P). Vielleicht zieht Audi da ja noch nach und überlässt BMW das Segment der Powerdiesel in der Mittelklasse nicht vollständig.
Der 335d von BMW ist ein 3.0 Liter Triebwerk mit Bi-Turboaufladung. Der 330d hat ebenfalls 3.0 Liter, jedoch nur einen Turbolader. Gruß
Kurz und knapp mir gefallen beide und mir ist es letztlich egal wer besser ist.

Im Allg. sind diese Autos mittlerweile nur noch Statussymbole (Mittelschicht ggf. höher)
Bestreite aber nicht das ich den nicht fahren würde.

Insofern weiter machen gute Vid´s und wenn dir das aufn Zeiger geht mit den Kommentaren da du dich mehr rechtfertigen musst, anstatt (Lob) zu bekommen, weil die Sache eben gerade so heiß im Straßenverkehr ist, dann schalt die Kommentar Option AUS oder Lösche sinnlose Bemerkungen.

The 3.0tdi should compete an 330d and it should be avant vs combi or limousine vs limousine. Still nice performance.
smitz94 . we were a little surprised, too. with similar equipment, perfect conditions, equially skilled drivers, the 335d is clearly superior, there's no doubt about it. but that's a rather theoretical view. on the street, the outcome of a dragrace is heavily influenced by a variety of factors, such us driver's individual reaction, road conditions in the own lane and so on.
the best showcase for a comparison between those two cars is Round 2. But the F30 could be still a bit faster if it was equiped with a proper M-suspensions, the sport-gearbox and better tyres.
The video shows that specifications on a paper are only directly reproduceable with similar conditions ... otherwise it's really up to the individual situation. 1 second less from 0-100 is a huge difference on the paper ... on the street, not so much.

jap, and because that's all you can say, there are people like us, who's opinions are based on actual experience, rather than a quick look in the spec sheets ;). If the numbers were the only truth, we wouldn't have to drive the cars anyway, would we? Especially the HP-specs are rather insignificant because if the engine delivers 300HP, that doesn't mean that 300HP reach the road. That's why american cars feel like they only got half their nominal power, from a german point of view. What you're forgetting is that suspension, tyres, gearbox, drive system and the engine are equally important when it comes to racing. I'm afraid your statement has very little value in real life.

well, although we didn't compare them directly, I drove both, the A6 BiTDI and the 535d xDrive for a while (several 1000km) and I can tell you who's superior: the BMW. Audi has an awesome 4WD system and a really nice engine but that's no use because the ESP in the A6 (contrary to the one in A4/A5) is very patronizing. It is heavily limiting the potential of the car, which is very sad. It is ok for driving in a straight line, but as soon as you touch the steering wheel, the ESP brakes the car down. So, as a whole, the 313PS 5-Series is the wayyyy better car there (provided a decent sports package is in the configuration).

it does, but only if there are no curves on the track. as I mentioned before, the ESP of the Audi is terribly patronizing. As soon as you touch the wheel, it slows the car down, wheres as the 5-series allows the driver to use the full potential of the car. Very sad decission by Audi.

Der F30 geht echt gut. Der ist natürlich auch von der Entwicklungsstufe ein paar Jahre frischer als der Audi.
Bin mit meinem Audi A4 3.0 TDI trotzdem sehr zufrieden. :)

I have had 2 BMWs over the past year a 530d and a m135i and they were both great. Then I got an Audi A5 3.0tdi quattro and I won't ever have a BMW again. The automatic box is better in the audi, it corners better, in the wet (which it always is in England) Its a great car

You'll be shocked how quick it is ive drove that engine and its quick but because of the torque in this engine it just flys and it sounds like a V8 when you redline it. Enjoy

of course this is not fair, the 335's equivalent should be an s4 , just look at the torque figures.

Hast du auch Ahnung von der Marke bmw oder quatscht du nur blöde. Erstens ist das Doppelendrohr nur hinten links und nicht beidseitig. Zweites ist es beim f30 wieder so gebaut worden, ganz im Gegensatz zum e90. Und drittens m, ja habe ich...siehe Unterschied e90 zu F30. Also erst vorher schlau machen, dann posten. Danke

what we have learnt here, is that the car with 68 more hp and about the same weight is faster!!

hervorragende Idee! Würde uns in der Tat auch sehr interessieren und reizen :). Leider steht der weiße 3er nicht mehr zur Verfügung, daher wird das leider nichts werden. Aber es werden sicherlich weitere spannende Vergleiche folgen ;).
Aso leider wäre interessant gewesen wegen die haben nazu die selbe leistung aber könnte ihr vlh ein Tacho Video von 335d machen

Guess the lighter BMW has the advantage on the Audi on the straight on a dry road. Perhaps we should try the same; BMW estate 4x4 in the wet with the audi....or is that too even for BMW drivers?
how do they start and boost their car like that at red lights?
the basic nature of the technique is to push the brake padel with your left foot and the accelerator with the other. depending on if your car has some sort of launch control concept (as they did both), the rotational frequency of the engine will line-up to a point where near optimal traction is garantueed. all you need to do after that is instantly release the brake pedal and the car accelerates near it's full potential.
but still you gotta time that right because it's a terrible strain on the engine and the transmission if you keep pushing brake and accelerator at the same time for a longer period. so you gotta watch the traffic light a few times and develop a feeling for how long it's supposedly staying red and prepare a few seconds before that.
in a car with a manual transmission, you would hit the accelerator also up to like 2,5-3k rpm (diesel) with the clutch pressed and than quickly but gently release the clutch. it's more difficult than with an automatic gearbox.

Wieso 335d kaufen wenn man einen D3 dafür bekommt? Bei dem D3 hat man sdrive, Exklusivität, mehr Höchstgeschwindigkeit, mehr Individualisierungsmöglichkeiten und bessere Beschleunigunswerte

Da sind wir mal wieder beim Diskutieren welches Auto (Fahrer) besser geradeaus fährt ....Beides sind gute Autos. Quattro ist auch ein sehr gutes Allradsystem, nicht ohne Grund wurde der Audi Sport Quattro S1 zur Legende, aber jetzt pauschal zu sagen Xdrive oder Quattro ist besser kann man nun wirklich nicht. Es hängt nun mal auch von der Charakteristik des Fahrzeuges ab und vom Fahrer. Dieser entscheidet für sich nämlich, was ihm mehr liegt ;)

Also mich wundert es auch das der BMW nicht soviel Vorsprung rauszieht bei immerhin 313 Ps, müsste er eigentlich den Audi schon ne ganze Ecke hinter sich lassen. Also wenn ich das so sehe würde ich auch eher tendieren das

absolut! Genau das gleiche hab ich auch gedacht. A4 oder A5 mit dem 313 PS BiTurbo und ne ordentliche Sport-Bremsanlage dazu (denn die wird er brauchen mit noch mehr Leistung) und man hat n Bomben-Auto. Versteh auch nicht warum Audi sich diesen Wettbewerbsnachteil gefallen lässt.
Also der Bi-TDi ist erste Sahne bin ich erst letzte Woche im A6 gefahren was mich aber sehr enttäuscht hat war der Durchzug, ein Golf R (standard) ist genau so schnell...

Why acting that clever? It´s a 335d. Go to a part of the video where you can see it written on the back. It might have irretated you that the new 330d and 335d have only to pipes on the left - not left and right like the previous model...

Yes it does. I don't know why they're seperating the diesel from the 335i now either... both have 300hp + and it looks weak like it is now... the build fantastic cars but sometimes they do silly things...

Me too.. i own the 125d. And it has the pipes like this as well. But the 335d truelly could have it on the left an right to show that its the strongest one.

Der 3.0 BiTuDi passt wahrscheinlich nicht in den aktuellen A4. Außerdem gibt es den auch nur mit der 8 Gang ZF. Und die müssten man in den A4 B8 aucht erstmal integrieren. Schließlich ist der Wagen doch schon einige Jahre auf dem Markt. Wartet mal bisschen ab.
Warum hat bitte der 335d nicht wie der 335i links und rechts ein Auspuffrohr, sondern einen Doppelrohrauspuff wie der 330d? Und warum gibts den nur mit Allrad? Jetzt kann man das viel stärkere Dieselmodell vom anderen äußerlich außer am Schriftzug nicht mehr unterscheiden. Ich versteh BMW nicht mehr, erst die Reihensechser aus den mittleren Leistungsstufen streichen, dann das...
Das haben wir uns auch gefragt und da ein wenig recherchiert. Es ist wohl so, dass die neuen 3er Modelle dem Euro6-Standard gerecht werden müssen. Dafür sind mehr Filter usw. erforderlich und somit ist kein Platz mehr für die beidseitige Auspuffanlage. Bei Audi ist es das gleiche. Den A3 3.0 gibt es einmal normal als TDI - das ist ein Euro5 mit je einem Auspuff links und rechts und es gibt den TDI clean diesel, das is im wesentlichen der gleiche Motor aber halt EU6, der hat auch nur eine Doppelauspuffanlage auf der linken Seite.
Den 3er gibt es nur als Allrad weil die 630Nm irgendwie auf die Straße gebracht werden müssen. Der alte 335d hatte weniger Drehmoment und damit bereits arge Probleme (siehe unser Vid). Aber es gibt eine Alpinaversion vom 335d F30 mit Heckantrieb ;).

Sixt ist ne feine Sache, hat aber meines wissens nach keine 3.0er A4 im Angebot (leider) und wenn überhaupt, dann nur seeehrr wenige 335d. Aber ja, Sixt mach einiges möglich ... deutlich mehr als Microsoft ;)

So leid es mir tut. Es ist wirklich ein 335d. Die F3x haben als 35d nun "nur" ein Doppelrohr. Nur der 35i hat die besagten zwei Einzelrohre. Der E9x hatte als 35d die zwei Einzelrohre.
