In my experience a TDI really is a different accelerating experience: early shifting, using torque from 2500 - 3500, shift again.

My previous car was A4 B7 Avant but with 2.0tdi engine. It was such a great, nimble car, the only thing missing for me was the Quattro system, fwd wasn't cutting it for me. After that car I went with BMW F11 530d xDrive. Whenever I get to sit in my previous car (which is being driven by my dad since he needed a car), the nostalgia is pretty crazy, the car also was slightly upgraded when I had ownership of it - power upgrades, minor suspension upgrades (sway bars to be more specific, was annoyed of body roll)

2.0 TDI are amazing engines, I’ve got one myself a mk6 Golf 2.0 TDI it doesn’t have crazy power but the power to weight ratio is good. It can handle well and makes you feel so confident in bends. I’m guessing you probably felt the A4 wasn’t the best at handling mainly because it’s bigger. What upgrades did you do to your A4?

I have same car with 2.0tdi and i feel like misha you should use little lower rpm with this car. This engine has lots of torque at 2.5k and over 4k it fades away. For this one i think 2.7-4.2k rpm is perfect

He knows that, hes done it b4 when a car cuts power. Being a professional race driver im sure he instantly knew it was because oil or coolant got too hot. Turning it off and on again with boiling oil/coolant and full sending it again wouldnt of helped in any way😂 not his engine to blow up lol

I had an A6 allroad Quattro (asb) running a tad more than this and although it wasn’t the fastest in the world it was really nice to drive on the roads. Having said that, my 535d was miles better and faster especially at stage 2 thanks to the second turbo. BUT, the Audi cost me under £2000 used it for work for a year carrying parts about and then sold for the same amount I bought it for. Had everything on it too, way ahead of their time.

In my opinion there's not enought hardware for a proper track engine tune. Those 750nm did torture the transmission without any benefits on track. Too much boost on too low revs. An ideal sporty diesel had kind of 580nm for 330bhp at 5300rpm. Bigger hot side turbo, well engineered exhaust mainfold, better camshafts and valve springs.
