When I was younger I was a charmer I would ask all the girls to dance at school dances but now I'm a lot more shy about it. Man it was a lot easier to get girls when you were younger
Got rejected Asked her to dance She looked at me Ask her friend to dance with me I said never mind Walk away They said no come back, but I said its ok Really weird exchange
If you don't mind Tripp, and sorry for the super long post, but I'd like to put in a few cents from my experience with dancing and meeting women through dancing. Because I LOVE to dance and I've been able to meet a ton of women through dances I've gone to. I've had 2 girlfriends I met through dances and I've had a one night stand through a dance as well. If you want to really get good at meeting women at dances then you should try and learn some Ballroom type dancing, my suggestions would be swing and blues: I know East Coast Swing is very fun and has a ton of fun moves that you can play around with a girl and Blues is very similar to swing but is usually a bit slower and a lot more intimate. There are a lot more different genres of dance, but those are the ones I do and I've had much success with. The biggest reason I HIGHLY recommend learning a ballroom type dance is because of a concept that I know Tripp preaches a TON about on his channel and his podcasts, and that is about "Touching." Something I've noticed about the kind of dancing I've seen at bars and clubs is that there isn't a lot of touching involved, it's usually 2 people flailing their arms and moving side to side, No Reason For Any Touching!!!! But with Ballroom dancing, it always involves 2 people physically being connected with their arms, and I might be wrong, but I believe in all the different styles in Ballroom involve holding one of a woman's hands and putting your other hand on her shoulder blade or lower back. And another thing that I've noticed about myself with learning a Ballroom style dance is how it helps break down that fear of physically touching a woman. I originally started dancing with contra dance, it's more of a folk type social dance where you can meet a lot of different people in a very short amount of time because you are basically dancing with everyone in the hall. I started dancing contra in college because I had a crush on this new friend who invited me to go to a contra on campus. And back then I was TERRIFIED to initiate any kind of touching with a woman. I had that mind set where I thought women didn't like being touched by a guy and I would make them uncomfortable by even attempting to have a simple hug. But now I'm very comfortable with it. Now, that I live back in Chicago, and that Chicago has a giant dancing community, when I have free time I go to these different dancing events around town and I go and meet people, mostly women. And I'm not bragging here to boost my ego, this is the truth, I am a great dancer. I've been dancing for about 6 years now. And something I tend to do is even though I'm basically an expert at swing dancing, I'll still show up early for the beginner's class.... Oh, by the way, most dancing events will have a beginner's class to run through the basics for all the new people there so everyone can have fun. But I usually will show up and participate in the beginner's class because I really enjoy helping the instructors with teaching the new people. And what this also does is to give me a chance to introduce myself to all the ladies in the class and most of the time it's a little hard to hold back my dancing skills and most of the time some of my more advanced dancing moves will "slip out" during the lesson. And I'll show off a little bit and soon enough like half of the women in the class or even the venue are wanting to dance with me. I remember one dance where I was trying to hang out with this small group of people I had met there, while also trying to rest from dancing, but I also was helping them learn some swing moves. But I kind of had to be confined to a chair at the table a few feet away, because EVERY TIME I had gotten up and even stepped on the dance floor to try and show these people how to do a move I would get a little tap on the shoulder and a smiling young lady would be behind me asking me for a dance.... I CANNOT COUNT how many times I've had women tell me how much of an amazing dancer I am and how much they wanted to dance with me. Most of the time I just walk up to a woman, look her right in the eye, and just hold out my hand, and that's all it takes. And don't even get me started on the kind of intimacy I've had with some women that I had just met at many of the dances I've gone to. Many squeezing my hand while I held theirs, all the smiling and laughing at my stupid jokes, many hovering around me, watching me, and even following me, with stares of desire, and many were "fully embracing" themselves against me (like from about their knees to their neck were against my body, with no senses of shame or uncomfortableness), I've had a woman lay her head on my shoulder for an entire slow dance. And talking is relatively easy as well because you are so close together you can communicate by talking right into her ear, which if you don't know is a great way to give a woman shivers up her spine, in the best of ways. And for questions and topics I love to use some of Tripp's questions from some of his videos like, "if you could have any super power what would it be?" or simply ask, "Tell me about yourself." And if the 2 of you are enjoying the conversation when the song ends you could pretend to not notice the ending of the song and keep talking and dancing into the next song, I know I've danced with at least 1 woman through 2 or maybe even 3 songs before. If you're at a bar you can go ask if she'd like to get a drink, or if it's a little late in the evening and she's not with a group of people you can ask if she would go and get a drink with you somewhere else. IMPORTANT NOTE, DANCER EDICATE!!!! Even when you get as good of a dancer as I am, you will still have to deal with a bit of rejection when you ask women to dance. 9.9 times out of 10 it isn't personal, unless you start acting like an asshole or a giant perv. She most likely needs to sit out to catch her breath and get some water. If you ask a woman to dance and she says no, then you say "no problem" or "thank you anyways" and you WALK AWAY!!!!!! Don't yell at her, Don't call her a bitch, DON'T MAKE ANY KIND OF ANNOUNCEMENT THAT YOU JUST GOT REJECTED!!!! (I actually had a buddy of mine yell over to me that he got rejected for a dance..... I love him, but he's a little stupid with girls.... Fun fact, right after she said no to him, I asked her to dance, and she said yes). And many times, if you are nice, polite, walk away without shaming the woman, and you continue to enjoy your night, then sometime later that same girl might come up to you and ask you to dance. And sometimes if you get a no, try not saying anything and just walking away. I can think of at least 1 time I had asked a woman to dance where she said no and I just walked away, I actually had a little trash in my hand and walked over to the trash can to throw it away. I turned back around to find that same woman right behind me and she starts trying to DEFEND HERSELF in the REASONS SHE SAID NO. She was like, "I'm REALLY SORRY, but I'm a little tired and I need to sit out and catch my breath and get some water...." And I simply responded with, ".... I just had to throw some trash out..." I think she felt a little embarrassed. And at the end of the night, she asked me for a ride home.... Unfortunately, things didn't work out. I saw her last night at a dance and she had this vibe of anger towards me, but it doesn't matter because I barely see her ever.... I thought it was a little funny and I also couldn't believe it was actually happening.... From not saying anything and walking away, it flipped something in her brain that made her need to defend herself and try to get me to still like her.... I know this post is a little long, but I wanted to share my experience with this community and I hope some of what I've said can help you guys out in your lives, because I don't think I would have had all the success I've had with women if it wasn't for Tripp and the community he has built.
Thanks for sharing. Her response was interesting when you walked away without saying anything. Wonder if that's because you didn't make a big deal out of it or even acknowledge it.
Thinking back to it, I think it was a bit of both. Also, before I asked her we were actually talking in a group with a few other dancers there too. So I was already opened to her and made that quick connection. I think it had something to do with a feeling of connection she had and when I walked away right after she said no to a dance she probably felt a disconnection and she wanted to keep that connection, thus the reason she tried to defend herself.... I feel you've talked about this kind of thing before in one of your videos, I think it was something with the push and pull.
Tripp forgot to say, "If you're a 'good looking guy', go over and start dancing with the group in a fun way." These girls today will cut you down and humiliate you if you look "average". That's why there are a lot of guys these days choosing to be single and work on betterment of themselves instead of chasing girls... it's a waist of time and I wish I wouldn't have waisted many years of my life trying to chase and impress them. Good video, tho! 😁
Tip: If you 2 are dacing for some time, both having a good time, and suddenly comes a music that allows you to be more sensual in your dance moves, use that to your advantage. Most girls will love if you do to them what we see girls doing to guys in movies, like go down until you hit the floor while you slowly rub your hands through their body. And if you're really feeling that she's on you, you can slow down for a moment, put her hands behind your neck, and kiss her neck. If she doesn't show any sign of disapproval, you can confidently go for the kiss. Of course this is no "one fits all" solution. Some girls won't like those things, but that worked a lot for me. Also above all, have a good time yourself, entertain yourself. You don't even have to dance thinking about girls, just do your thing, they'll notice that, and hopefully if you find one you want to try that with, they'll have seen you, and that'll make things a lot better.
Don't be too goofy when dancing comes of as cringe and not sexy. Good Rule: the more you move your arms the more stupid you look, more simple leg (2 step) and hip movement!
