I think it was for the best that this tour was scrapped in favor of Gaga doing her own show. I don't think the concept would've been executed as well if it was the two of them. Plus, I think Gaga realized she had enough star power to carry a grand arena tour on her own and didn't need to attach herself to another artist.
@@drakehollie414 i think this tour wouldve been a success even though it seemed random at the time, kanye was a big success with hits and gaga was rising with hits, but your right gaga realized her star power and though she had made it, she was willing to keep grinding that's why she was already making plans for her own tour set the following year while working on fame kills
Fame Kills would've been a big success if it ever happened because at that time Kanye West and Lady Gaga both are an equivalent of the hottest most innovative artist to be around at that time from different but not so far genre.
There were actually 2 different versions of the Monster Ball with 2.0 being the more story driven rock opera version and 1.0 was more of a performance art piece both versions were good but I’m sure 1.0 was pushed out quickly to get her on the road with 2.0 being the one she had been planning and working on
@@RyanLaws83 i didnt know were two different verisons of the monster ball? thats a cool fun fact, it dose sound about right on why they pushed 1.0 quickly, nobody was expecting kanye to do what he did and gaga had plan for her tour to start the following year after fame kills but since that happened and fame kills got canceled it makes sense why they went with that one
Gaga definitely would have still done the monster ball that’s the tour she was talking about after fame kills ended. Gaga did a theater version of the monster ball after fame kills got canceled the months of November December and January stage and setlist completely different she took a few months off and went into rehearsal for the area monster ball tour that started in I think March or April of 2010. So she basically threw together a tour in like a month so she didn’t disappoint her fans. In a Oprah interview that came out I think December 2009 backstage it shows all the set designs Gaga had for the arena monster ball and she talked about how excited she was about it
@@jessenemick i had no idea there was two verisons of the monster ball tour, it make sense since plans were all set for fame kills, gaga had monster ball tour set for march the following year but bc of what happened it changed the original plan

GaGa was able to go back on the road so quickly because she had already done the Fame Ball tour previously, it was more of an opening act thing but considered The Fame Ball tour, in complete hindsight i'm glad the fame kills tour didn't go ahead, based on how his fans have blindly defended him over everything, i do wonder how his fans would have reacted to GaGa's elements in the show, it definitely wouldn't have been the free open atmosphere she wanted to create with her shows that's for sure.
Not a Kanye fan, but do like his hits from back then, I was planning on going to this tour. But lets be real can you imagine Kanye fans while Gaga performed songs like boys boys boys? Also think a lot of his fans (hip hop fans in their 20's) would have called Gaga's young gay teenage fans all kinds of horrible homophobic slurs (or worse if they "looked at them the wrong way") Still would love to hear the planned duets tho, cant believe no rehearsal footage has ever leaked.
?? You’re ignorant af. Kanye isn’t a good rap artist back in the day EVERYONE. Listened to him hipsters, gays, blacks, whites. Especially with him going into more electronica for his album
I understand your point partly but I do think Kanye’s fans were less judgemental in that aspect, as he’d often be labeled as derogatory names towards gays. Still a valid point though.
Thank you because I remember when the tour was announced and I was so excited 😆 and then the Kanye thing happened and literally heard radio silence about it ever since and it was kinda just understood that plans changed no one ever came out and said anything about it and I’ve always been bothered by that. Gaga needed the gays for Born This Way more than she needed Jay Z and Kanye and money from NYC. There I said it.
No she needed both equally. Gaga’s decline is due to her not being viewed as having swag anymore
