She was a guess star on Laure show first. I don’t think Laura would sell her soul so I’m hoping she’s well known for music without being signed to these big labels. Let’s not forget Laura writes 97% of her songs. No big artist do that so you know she would be rich & fans like when they actually write their own music so she would be like another Sia basically. If anything they feel way longer now, at least for the first half of the 2020s they felt that way and it was shown through charts, radio play, streaming services etc that singles from albums last longer than they ever did before. Maybe this is a take on singles and not albums , but look at Flowers by miley cyrus for example. That song lasted on the charts for literally a whole year (57 weeks) and then other artists such as SZA, The Weeknd and Dua Lipa has had that impact over the past few years with their biggest singles on their last successful mainstream albums. You look at nicki minaj, katy perry and rihanna who all released album after album in the early 2010s and although those albums are considered classics, each era was short lived once the others came along. Nowadays if an album is short lived it can be for various reasons, not because the fans are anticipating for the next big thing but because alot of albums nowadays are rushed and in many cases, a flop. There are also mediocre albums that do not deserve to even be in the top 3 that block others from reaching the top.

Honestly I think the album eras would be longer if Spotify, Itunes & etc didn't exist. Some ppl rather listen to albums online. And not go get them. Probably b4 they go buy the album. Just 4 a sample. Half of the albums sound the same. Repetitive, length of songz are short now, amounts of songz on the album are long & etc. Now alot of albums have like 16- 24 songz. No one got time to listen to that amount of songz. Just not interesting. Album cycle are shorter now. Back then we were notified albums are coming. By the actual artist. I remember JT Sexxyback album was coming out & kept announcing, notified ppl. There were Ads, commercials & etc. And money is a big factor too. Jmo...!!

i think people forget that BUDGET is a big factor when it comes to promoting singles and making good quality music videos for them and good promotion. Let's get Tate Mcrae for example. For her newest album she just released a 3rd single and maybe she will release a 4th when the album comes out in a month, which is way more than 2 singles she did with think later, her previous album. I feel like artist just don't wanna put money nowadays on projects they don't think will succeed. Money is a huge factor these days and most artist can't afford to promote 6-7 singles.

I saw/heard a video on TH-cam of the song Starboy, but it was an AI of Taylor Swift and it made me was her to make an r&b type of sound.

Ava max had an r&b song on soundcloud around the time sbs came out, called Slippin… and it was so catchy omfg I was so mad she didn’t use the song on her debut album

I would really love for Taylor to go in the pop/r&b direction! Something somewhat akin to the music of the older pop divas from like the early 90s. She already has the pen to write great lyrics so I think having an album solely focusing on her vocals would maybe quiet some of the haters. She’s proven that she has some range on songs like all of the girls you’ve loved before and gold rush. So I’d love to see her expand on that

3:14 you are so ON it about ava. She has such a good voice and she has decent riffs. She definitely could do a R&B type album. She said before that Whitney and mariah were some of her influences so she definitely can do it. Pop-rock is a great genre for her too. I also feel like her doing a album like that would have people respect her more because as i listen to her discography including unreleased songs, it feels like most of her music sounds very similar to each other.

For Taylor i have 3 direction i would love for her to explore in the future: 1. Pop-Rock album - Taylor has been tapping into this sound throughout her whole career but she never truly committed to do a whole album in it. We know she sounds amazing in it and fans are begging her to do it for over 10 years now. The album would be combination of: pop-rock, pop-punk, indie pop, alternative rock, soft rock, power pop, arena rock, new wave - this way she could give us these big anthemic catchy bangers but also have enough space for her storytelling. I would love for her to work with some new producers while keeping Jack and Aaron still around, Dan Nigro is an obvious choice, his work with Olivia and Chappell suggest he would be a perfect collaborator for Taylor. Another people she could hire are Andrew Watt who worked on Miley's Plastic Hearts and Atticus Ross & Trent Reznor who worked on Halsey's If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power. 2. Dreamy Pop/R&B album - songs like Wildest Dreams, Slut!, I Don't Wanna Live Forever, Dress, False God, Lavender Haze... which take this dreamy and bit r&b approach are amazing and i would love for her to explore it a bit more on a full album. The album would be a combination of indie pop, dream pop, champer pop, R&B, funk, pop-folk, jazz and soul. I think she would sound phenomenal on this and she would've gained a lot of respect in the eyes of a lot of people. 3. Another Country Album - i think all of us would love for Taylor to return to country for a moment, but if she ever does i want her to take a whole different direction than on her first 4 album. This album would be made out of blues, western, soft rock, alternative country, americana, country-pop and country-rock. For Selena Gomez i have a very clear image of what kind of music she should do. Indie Pop, Chamber Pop, R&B, alternative R&B and maybe bit of folk sprinkled in here or some very light EDM. This sound would fit her voice perfectly and also would highlight her biggest strengths which are versatility and emotional connection with the audience.

Fame kills would have been Gaga’s demise in several ways…. Just look at the concept sketches white woman going for black man’s fame, kills black man?
