I remember hearing this and staring at the precursor robot thats trying to open the dark eco silos for the first time and thinking (as a child) "Ooooh fuuuck..." must have stood at the top of the elevator for about ten minutes not moving staring at the final boss thinking how the hell I'm going to defeat this thing. You know you have made a good final boss when you make your audience think this.
I almost wish the fight were a lot tougher/more involved. Thinking about it, I feel like it's about the right level of difficulty for a kid's game/platformer like this, but knowing how to fight it after playing the game since I was a kid, I find it basically impossible to loose to. Would be cool if they ever remake this game to give it a more intense climactic battle.
I was 8 or maybe 9 years old when i first play Jak 1 and when i reach the final boss i was like "...shit but i beat a few guys more taller than this one" by that time i complete Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. That is the bad thing of playing a game 8 or 9 years since its released and being a usual player (also Jak 2 was my first game and maybe i didn't beat it in that time but i knew a few things of pain, suffering and frustration)
Originally during the climax they were gonna have it so Keira fixes up another robot and you have a big ol robot fight. Idk if it would have been any harder but it sounds like it would have been badass
Just beat the game right now for honestly the 100th time and currently standing on top of the world staring endlessly down into the distance of the world below. This song just makes me feel so nostalgic and miss my childhood. This game is a masterpiece. Wish i had a time machine.
The silo slowy opens little by little at the end of each phase (while they're launching the bombs you need the launch pad to avoid) but yeah by the time the light eco appears the silo is almost completely open
One of my favorite themes of all times for a final battle. I always returned to the arena after defeating Gol & Maia just to hear this song. Incredible game, incredible video.
damn brother it’s been a year lol, anyways this game is epic. Kinda sad they aren’t continuing the series. i wouldnt care much if it got more realistic i just want more story.
Japan just added the ps2 to the future heritage technology registry meaning that our childhoods are finally gonna be preserved! It's been a long road fellas but the day finally approaches when we wont have to worry about these classic masterpieces withering away to time anymore!
@@nolannahdee1477 Well, he shouts it during the final phase, but there is a clip in the "outtakes" where he wonders "what kind of idiot would write a lyric like that?"
I remember having to beat this boss for my older brother because he couldn't. He spent days trying and I took the controller and beat it for him while he just stood in shock.
Light eco! That could the stuff to change me back, or It could stop that robot. Hmm stay fuzzy or save the world, choices... Okay we're saving the world but we Better do It quickly before i change my mind!
I have actually never played jak and daxter 1. I played 3 and 2 but I absolutely love this theme. Strangely relaxed, but there is an intensity to it at the same time.
I don't recognize any differences between Parts 3 and 4... and it's been so many years. Even if I fully remember this fight still. LOL! XD (best Jak track btw)
Light eco that must be the stuff to change me back or stop that robot stay fuzzy save the world choices ALRIGHT FINE will save the world but do it quickly before i change my mind
I personally hope Sony doesn't touch jak after the tlou 2 if so jak will most likely die lmao hope a company that's passionate about jak makes a remake or reimagining keep the plot and time travel but add new stuff to all three
Imo while this boss was amazing, it could've been a bit better with this addition. If a remake were to occur, a personal 2 on 1 fight would be the final phase of the boss. After jak uses the light eco to blow up the robot and the head falls in the pit, Gol's fist will bust out of the eye and he'll scream "YOU ARE NOT TAKING THIS FROM US" and they'll both emerge from the head. Maia will then say "Lets see if the great Samos really taught you how to use eco" and the final phase will commence. You will stay in light form this entire part and the silo roof will be wide open, so you need to watch your step. You now have access to ALL light eco powers at the same time. Gol and Maia will attack with energy blasts from their hands, forcing you to use blue eco speed to dodge them. Maia will then throw dark eco bombs and using the strength of red eco, you kick them back at the two before they explode. Next is to take them both out of their floating and get them to the ground by shooting them both with yellow eco. Once they're down, they will both kneel and gol will say "We will never stop" and you'll be told to press the punch button one last time to unleash a white eco blast. It'll send them both flying into the robot head, and the impact being so hard it closes the silo roof, sealing them inside and defeating them for good

I still remember seeing it for the first time, the lighting, the score, the FEAR aaaaarghhh it was so good
Nice to read this :) this game is great, good time as a kid seeing my brother playing this.

Staring out at the entire world and beyond from atop the Citadel with this music playing was awesome 🤘
Ahead of the time game ❤

"Oh fine let's save the world but do it quickly before I change my mind"
Actully daxter said: "Ok fine let's go save the world! but you Better do It quickly before i change my mind!"
The thing that boggled my mind was seeing snowy mountain in the distance and I was looking down at it and thinking wow this really is a final boss
I just noticed that the silo slowly fully opens once the Light Eco appears. Favourite game here.

I play Jak and Daxter Trilogy.
Me too bro
damn brother it’s been a year lol, anyways this game is epic. Kinda sad they aren’t continuing the series. i wouldnt care much if it got more realistic i just want more story.
I got a precursor orb tattoo on my forearm and my brother’s initials in precursor lettering
Jak and Daxter was reason i started playing video games
Same. Remember my family and I playing it since I was like 4 and still one of my fav games of all time
"Finish them both off once and for all"
"We're not gonna take it"

"WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT!"
lmao, is that from behind the scenes?

Im gonna cry because this is my childhoods favorite game!😭😢
Increíble tema, épico, inspirador, potente, joder que hasta te daban ganas de estar en la parte final y experimentar en persona el juego
ÉPICO SOUNDTRACK
*Stand Still*
I still love this game
Light eco, it does exist! They must not be allowed to get it!

Thanks For Making This

You really should play it!
@@walker4322 I probably will at some point
I also played only 2 and 3 originally. Wasn't sure I'd like an older version, but it is pretty good.
Eco won't protect you now...
“AHHHHHHH” as you shoot their eye with yellow eco
All these years and I never realize that this boss uses all four eco types. Blue, Green, Red, and finally yellow. Strangely never uses dark eco
For an ultimate showdown to determine the fate of the world, this track is surprisingly quite peaceful!
I still need to finish the first game! I NEED MONEY!
how much do you need then we'll talk
@@SSGReads idk, however much it fukin' costs
I wonder if now if you can play it
yk its a good theme if i had it saved in my head for more than a decade
Dark Eco vs Phazon.

Being 7 years old and feeling accomplished when beating this game
The final boss really tough
Missed this saga, I hope to at least in some future, as now naughty dog to finish with tlou 2, I can see hope.
I personally hope Sony doesn't touch jak after the tlou 2 if so jak will most likely die lmao hope a company that's passionate about jak makes a remake or reimagining keep the plot and time travel but add new stuff to all three
Childhood hero’s
I remember when Naughty dog made actual videogames...
DEE SNIDER GOOD JOB FOR VOICING GOL FROM JAK AND DAXTER
Parts 3 and 4 are pretty much the same, yeah?
It adds one tiny, almost unnoticeable part, the one the kinda sounds like a vocal "haaaa"
We need to stop them from opening the dark Eco silo's
How hear this music and play any games

Best revision to this boss fight I've seen
YES! YES YES YES~!
Part 3 is the best. Part 4 sounds slightly different but similar to Part 3 as well.
What are the main differences that you notice between the two?
Honestly, if it wasn't for this song, I wouldn't remember the final boss in this game because it's kinda easy tbh
