i am in the process. it's much different but very intuitive at the same time. you basically answer questions the machine asks you to get what you want. hope this helps 1 year later XD
In the VC-5x smooth control, is there any set up position for tool changing/unloading/inspection which will move the axis closer to the operator including door override activation? Also, is there any selection option when I touch my tool offset to register in tool offset page not in tool data page. Also how to set tool load monitoring?
You can change the location of the table with the RETURN field in an END unit in a MAZATROL program. In the RETURN field you can choose ZERO, FIXED PT, or ARB PT. You can teach tool length to the TOOL OFFSET page by beginning on the TOOL OFFSET screen depending on the parameter configuration of your machine and how TOOL DATA and TOOL OFFSETS are being used. Tool load monitoring can be accomplished in several ways. Depending on machine model, the THRUST F. and HORSE PW values can be set in tool data to adjust tool load. This can also be accomplished on multiple axes using the Overload Detection Option. Please contact your nearest Mazak Technical Center for support if you have more questions.
So the sales pitch is the Smooth controller which does look cool, but I still don't get how the same machine with the same speeds, feeds and rapids can be quicker with just a different control? Kind of says speeds and feeds aren't actually a factor in machining. Can anyone explain this?
Great question bootdisc. Smooth optimizes the part program/cutting path, so while it uses the same feeds and speeds, it economizes the machine's movements. It travels a shorter distance to machine the same part.
12 pass per section with 12 section on the turbine wheel if you save 0.44 sec on each rapid travel because of the latest new generation of servo= 63.36 sec of cycle time plus the return to home position for a total of 66 sec save. EZ PZ
I think that... You have a car that can travel at a speed of 300 km / h. If you go on a straight, long motorway, then the travel time from point "a" to point "b" is easily calculated. And if the road is not straight? In the latter case, the speed will be different depending on the driving style and the driver's experience. Before each turn, you will have to slow down, and then accelerate. The more correctly you calculate the acceleration and deceleration moments, the faster you will reach your goal without unnecessarily overloading the car. Sometimes using G0 in a program will only slow down execution.
The Matrix 2 has way more buttons. You can't beat that.
How hard is it to learn these controls coming from Fanuc controls?

I guess it thinks less also between 2 operation

@@MazakCorporation Isn't that only the programming being more efficient rather than the machine being faster? Seems like a bogus comparison.

is this similar to okumas super nurbs?
Sir ji good evening,
Pls tell me about feed rate how switch and on
Can I work with gcode on a Mazak Nexus 200 II ?
Looks very nice!
But comparison with Sinumeric and Fanuc would be interesting too
pkmcnc jjjiiouoi1 es werden Co
There is no comparison
Ok.
You can keep the Smooth Control Machine.
And i will get the Matrix 2 Controlled Machine out of your way.
I will even provide the transport, LOL.
How do I get a free hat
Give me one of this Machine! :D

Besides, u never get any help, service after buy.
U are in your own, no service.
Be carefull with Mazak
edward olvera exactly the experience I had when I bought a mazak.
Sad but true. :(
which country you are from Edward? I am using e-1060 and I 400, they provide me good service.so sad to hear that..
Hahahaa. I agree. Just use fanuc control.
Haas Automation rocks!
