    Thanks for the video. It has given me more to think about. I am new to this world and have a Explore 3 and the fine point blade is the one that came with it. I am having a major issue with the cut pressure. There is no setting I can choose or modify to change that. I chose a setting that went all the way down to 70 cutting pressure. I have chose the less pressure option. I have tried the Washi option that you outline for small font cutting. None of it makes a difference. Every setting cuts clean through the vinyl, through the backing and into the matt. I don't know what to do next because this is a nightmare to deal with. Any help would be greatly appreciated......Thanks

    Oh my gosh! You just ended my headache. My machine wasn't cutting deep enough and the problem ended up being that I incorrectly inserted the new blade. In your video with the beautiful close up I was able to see that you pushed the top housing button before inserting the blade. I was forgetting to push that button and the blade was going too far into the housing which was giving me a headache full of kiss cuts only. So thank you for your video!

    I’m confused about when u go to make it, do u hit fine point for vinyl?

    • @Trebushea
      @Trebushea  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes vinyl would be cut with the fine point blade :) But you shouldnt have to select the blade type each time so it should be okay if you leave it and just select vinyl.

    I just got a Cricut air 2 handed down by my friend who never learned how to use it. I am very lost as well and I don't know where to start. I was told I could use the "fine point blade 1.1" on my Cricut for vinyl. I wanted to attach the blade to the house and it looks like it doesnt fit. the magnet sucks in the blade but it won't go in all the way. Now with this video I believe I have the wrong blade and I won't be able to return the ones I just opened.

    Hi! So I'm new to cricut & I purchased a cricut explore 3. I have noticed that with EVERY material I've worked on its been cutting all the way through to the mat so that when I go to pull the vinyl off & try to weed everything it's all just there on the mat. Is there something I can do to fix it? I've used different material settings and also less pressure setting.

    • @Trebushea
      @Trebushea  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is a way to manually go in and edit the number on the cut pressure once you select "browse all materials" on the bottom of that window it should say something like "edit" and you can scroll to the vinyl setting and adjust the pressure manually. But it shouldn't be giving you that much issue so perhaps it's something else. Which setting is it on for vinyl? Also sometimes the blade housing (the thick metal part that holds the blade inside might be pushed in too far down so if you open up the clamp B and lift it out then click it back in that also might help. 💕 Let me know and I can help figure it out!

    • @Trebushea
      @Trebushea  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Usually with Cricut it should be working right out of the box so it might be a manufacturer error too. But let's figure this one out 🥰

    • @ballenbean
      @ballenbean 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the project I finally completed I was using cricuts sport flex iron on vinyl. And every time I cut it even with less pressure & also trying to use the sport flex, iron on vinyl, or even washi tape material options in design space (all with less pressure) my blade was cutting all the way through (even the protective lining) to the mat. Other than that I was trying some vinyl I got off of Amazon & tried both default pressure & less (2 different "brands" both had a mix of permanent, removable, glossy, matte etc)

    • @AC-yr6cw
      @AC-yr6cw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m having the same issues. I even used washi setting for sister easy weed htv and edited the setting to 70 and chose less pressure and it still cuts all the way through. I’m using explorer 3

    • @thuylinhvuong8738
      @thuylinhvuong8738 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm having the same issue with my new explore 3 as well. It cuts smart vinyl just fine but with starcraft permanent vinyl it cuts right through despite putting the setting to 70 and less pressure. Anyone find a solution yet? I've already had to exchange for a new machine once because of a piece that randomly popped off and rendered the machine useless sigh.

    I would buy a new mat every project if my Cricut would just cut any material with a fine point blade.

  • @alisa25472
    @alisa25472 ปีที่แล้ว

    So there is a difference between fine point and the premium fine point? I did think there was other than the premium blade is made out of german carbide which last longer.
