I love watching the Cricut videos with Michael. He doesn't get lost on tangents or try to be funny. It is easy to stay focused. He is informative without being condescending or phony.
Thank you for getting right to the point and being so clear. I'm a retired teacher and a cricut beginner Got my cricut for Xmas and wanting to make and sell golf cart decals for people in my 55+ community. I think I can do it now! 😊
Mr crafty pants was my 1st tutorials when I purchased my cricut . Absolutely have no tech savvy bones in my body haha or crafty for that matter . After 4 videos I was up and running and 4 months later I now have my own little craft business . I strayed from Mr crafty pants watching and subscribing to other channels. NONE and I mean NONE have as much detail and explanation as Mr Crafty Pants . Thank you Mr Crafty Pants for all your videos
My husband owns an Auto parts store/mechanic shop and I think adding car decals to the store would be a great idea. I want to start making them so I will be following this tutorial for sure. Thank you thank you for sharing! 😊
With all the Cricut videos I have gone through this is so far the best! No fuss, no long talks, no overselling - gets rights into what I came here for. Subscribed!
Got my mom and me a cricut because her cancer makes it so she can’t work so i wanted her to be able to do something but i also like using it. I wanna make vinyl decals to sell on facebook to save some money for y 21st birthday and this has to be the most straight forward tutorial I could’ve asked for! Thank you! Will definitely share this with my mom as well!!
Thank you for this, You have helped me with this video!! I just got my Cricut machine like 1 week ago an trying to learn as much as I can. Single Mom of 2, got laid of in January and have been doing Door Dash while applying at for practically all I see and still nothing, so trying to learn all I can to help myself earn and maybe even start a whole new journey that will allow me to be at home and make money!!! Thank you for all your videos and insight!! Your videos are very easy to follow and helpful!
You definitely have a new fan my friend. I just bought a cricut cutter yesterday to go with my 5 in 1 heat press. After the setup of the cutter I am realizing there are so many opportunities w/out even having to turn on the heat press. Thanks to those like you, to teach us old guys some new tricks!
Even though this seems fairly simple.. I am not good at this stuff and need reference lol- as a single mom needing a side hustle and help, I have to say you are such a blessing thank you!
This was the best video I was seen Michael is precise he tells you everything you have to do step-by-step I I tried to do a decal myself and realized I was doing it all wrong thank you Michael
As a result of this video and a review from Alex I purchased a Crafty Membership. I’m so excited & looking forward to learning so many crafty techniques and ideas ☺️
I have been dreaming for years about selling decals. I got a Joy for Christmas and am starting to print some of my designs. Thank you for all of the pointers to make a professional and sellable decal.
I love the tip of having the cutter actually cut the perimeter of the decal out as well so you don't have to cut it after. Makes it looks so much more professional.
I absolutely love that transfer tape, I bought the smaller roll and it works perfectly for car decals, it is very easy to lift up and looks so professional verses the grid transfer tape, thanks for the layering idea on the shapes, it made things a lot easier and cleaner looking.
Thanks so much Michael! I was really needing help with making and selling decals. And thanks for letting me know about layering 4 times and cutting through. So I’ve learned something. But you’re always so good in explaining things! Could you now cover the pricing structure???? Pleaseeee
Hi, just to let you know, that the average decals I have bee making, I have sold between $3.00 and $6.00, Depending on the sizes and how intricate the decal is. Most simple decals that are 5x5, I do under $5. the double layers I made usually will go from 6 to $10.00. Play with the prices, find what you like and balance the costs, time, materials but try not to over price. Customers will go someplace else if you over price, but do not under price either like selling for under 2 bucks just to make a sale, unless having a fire-sale.
Hi Michael, I'm a new Cricut user. May I ask maybe a stupid question? When you are duplicating the square X4, does that mean you will get 4 exact decals?
Great video! I subscribed to your website because I really liked your quick and easy way of explaining how to apply the vinyl. I'm going to apply a 3 part decal to my neighbors truck window. This will be my first decal and I'm after all the info I can get. LOL I look forward to more of your videos. Thanks
Excellent instructional video. I don’t own a cricut but I’m interested in making my own stickers. The process looks simple enough with a cricut. Thank you 🙏🏻
Perfect timing! I was just asked to make some car decals. I never would have thought to put the square warring the design! Looks so professional! Thank you, Michael!!!
Hello @Mr Crafty Pants, the svg that it directed to is a coffee one but I did a search in your site and found this one, I am a member too but in case someone needs to find it, thank you for being such great instructor and for the free stuff
Really well done video with clear and concise instructions. You make it so easy to follow along. I'm ordering up some vinyl to be sure. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Thank you for these videos! I have really been wanting to use my cricut machine more and try to sell some stuff. Is there a video on pricing? I feel like that is what keeps me from starting to sell items. I don't know what's too much or even too little, I would like to know what is the right price points to sell an item😯
Hey, not a pro by any means, but I’m in the process of starting a business. I’ve made quite a few sales off Etsy. I get my pricing by looking at what other people price items at. I try to triple my cost to come up with prices usually and compare it to what others price at. Word of mouth is a really good way to make sales. (A lot of my new customers are people I’ve met while running errands) I will literally tell random people what I do in conversation. Social media is great. I have business cards with a QR code right to my Facebook. You just have to pester people lol.
omg I love your tutorials; you are definitely my go to guy for all thing Cricut! I don't know how many times I have watched your videos but its be a lot! lots of love and keep up the good work!!
There's two options I know of to make them multicolored. 1. Is combining different colored vinyls, this works best with simple 2-3 color designs 2. Would be to get printable vinyl and use the print-cut method. any multi-color design works with this but I'm unsure on the durability of it. There are laminate sheets that could be applied to help with durability Hope that helps!
Thanks Michael for all you contribute to our cutting machine community. I have learned so much for you and love the crafty membership! I vote you most fave!!
Michael, I ran across this video, and I've just got to tell you, I love the idea of being able to cut decals (right through the backing) by using 4 squares behind image. I was so excited to try this, that I got up in the middle of the night and tried it!!! Does it take longer to cut a completed decal, yes, but not really any more than having to trim decals with scissors or a paper cutter. I can size them perfectly to fit inside of my clear 5x7 bags. Thanks so much for all your great tips and tricks.
Such a great tip to cut the square 4x! So how do you pack your decals when shipping in the heat of summer so the heat doesn’t separate or damage your decal? Thank you- I just subscribed and can’t wait for the next video.
Thanks for info. I just did a bunch for my brother in law. I used cricut brand of permanent vinyl. I have done things on our 4 wheeler's, and has held up well, going on 2-3 years on them. Will check out what you have used and try it too. Thanks for Sharing.
Awesome!! I've been looking for these ideas! If they wanted to apply to the inside of the window.. you would just mirror your design... Right? I just love your tutorials Micheal!
Mind completely blown by applying the square as a backing and then duplicating this, awesome shortcut!!! Question: what is a good price to charge for a decal? I know the prices will vary based on the size and intricacies of the decal, but how do you determine that?
I love watching the Cricut videos with Michael. He doesn't get lost on tangents or try to be funny. It is easy to stay focused. He is informative without being condescending or phony.
Like you don’t have to yell: JUST HURRY UP🤣😂😆

Another great tutorial. You are such a great communicator and teacher, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for helping!! So useful & smart using the 4 squares
You are such a gifted teacher. You explain everything so simply and effortlessly. Thank you!!
Not only did I love this video, but I deeply appreciate all the tips you gave us to pass on to our customers.

I learned something new today- the 4 layer cutting trick. That was awesome!!Can’t wait to try it! Thank you!
I was a little confused about why he did that. What’s the purpose in making it 4 layers? (Sorry if it’s obvious..I’m a beginner)
Straight to the point, and very clear instructions. Great job!
Even though this seems fairly simple.. I am not good at this stuff and need reference lol- as a single mom needing a side hustle and help, I have to say you are such a blessing thank you!
I have never tried decals yet. So today is the day I will learn how to make them.
Really glad you follow through showing how to apply once done. So many other videos cut short of this.
This was the best video I was seen Michael is precise he tells you everything you have to do step-by-step I I tried to do a decal myself and realized I was doing it all wrong thank you Michael
The squares, ugh, so helpful! Thanks!
This video is exactly what I was looking for to start making and selling car decals. Thank you for the step by step tutorial!
How can I make a "bumper" sticker not a window decal? I want the bumper sticker to have a different color background. Is there a video on that?
I could listen to ur voice all day. Ur tone is so even and upbeat
Perfect! Gotta go order some Star craft sticker paper!! Thanks Michael!
I love the tip of having the cutter actually cut the perimeter of the decal out as well so you don't have to cut it after. Makes it looks so much more professional.
The four squares idea is low key genius 🤯
i so wish i could come chill with you just to craft together and create great things you are the best instructor and teacher.
I absolutely love that transfer tape, I bought the smaller roll and it works perfectly for car decals, it is very easy to lift up and looks so professional verses the grid transfer tape, thanks for the layering idea on the shapes, it made things a lot easier and cleaner looking.
Thank you, you are amazing teacher. Have a blessed evening.

Wow! Fabulous, thank you so much Mr. Crafty Pants.
Very helpful! Thank you. I never knew about telling the machine to cut squares around it. This will save me so much vinyl
Great video. Hadn't thought about making car decals. Learned something new about the 4 square boxes!! 😊
im confused, can you tell me what is the purpose of the 4 boxes?
Michael do you use Matte or Glossy for the car decals
Excellent instructional video. I don’t own a cricut but I’m interested in making my own stickers. The process looks simple enough with a cricut. Thank you 🙏🏻
I was thinking the exact same thing. I'm planning on buying one though.---------Amelia Storms
Thank you for leaving the chit chat out of your videos. You are quick and to the point, where have you been all my crafting life? 😂
Thank you!

I have been wanting to try this, great step by step. Looks like I need to shop for some white vinyl and get crafting.
Ditto

Enjoy getting the fca after you. Just get ready to be sued.
@@sandman7167 What do you mean? I don't want any problems! What is fca?
Hi! I need to make multiples of the same designs, how would I go about doing this?
Thank you so much! I didn't know this could be done with a cricut.
Hello @Mr Crafty Pants, the svg that it directed to is a coffee one but I did a search in your site and found this one, I am a member too but in case someone needs to find it, thank you for being such great instructor and for the free stuff
I watched you video specifically for this topic but subscribed to your channel you make it seem easy

This is my go to channel for everything when I'm using my cricut!!❤❤ ty
I want to start my own business. I always have put saying on my back window with window chalk and I decided I'd be good at this. I hope I can do this.
Hello, this was by far the easiest decal video I have seen, thank you for sharing!
I liked your video. Detailed but presented in a calm manner
You answered my question about using permanent vinyl for car window decals. Thanks
since this is a sticky/decal so is that the reason you didn't mirror the design?
Yes that transfer tape ROCKS!!!!
Really well done video with clear and concise instructions. You make it so easy to follow along. I'm ordering up some vinyl to be sure. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
You're very welcome! We're so pleased you found it helpful! 🙂
From Perth Western Australia thank you 🙏 really enjoying your tutorials. Very clear and easy to follow. Thanks again.

There's not a ton of money in it because so many people are doing it. 5 years ago I made a ton now its pennies per decal.
I really enjoy your videos! I'm not sure I understand why you have to cut the box around the decal 4 times. A single cut box won't work?
I live in Simpsonville, KY and saw this design on a car and live it so much!
omg I love your tutorials; you are definitely my go to guy for all thing Cricut! I don't know how many times I have watched your videos but its be a lot! lots of love and keep up the good work!!
Love your videos!! It's like having my own personal Cricut instructor!!

Such a great tip to cut the square 4x! So how do you pack your decals when shipping in the heat of summer so the heat doesn’t separate or damage your decal? Thank you- I just subscribed and can’t wait for the next video.
Awesome, I have been going through many ways to do this and yours was the best. Thank you

If you want to apply it to the inside of the window you would simply mirror the image. You are correct.
I am thoroughly enjoying my membership and your tutorials!
Thanks for the tutorial! Curious what the shelf life is of decal once it's been cut, weeded and had transfer tape applied?
Thanks, I was researching how to make car vinyl machines.
