Fantastic video, really enjoyed it - great production, good humoured & starring very interesting/capable new vessel. Thank you for sharing.

Es war großartig! Ein tolles Race, bei wenig Wind aber grandiosen Wetter und genialer Stimmung!

Kann man das Schiff zusammenklappen wie den 45er? Nutzt Du das?

The DF40 can be folded like all other Dragonfly´s. It tooks only 2 min. per side and reduces the beam to the beam of a Monohull at same size (4m).

Beautiful boat and video. What type trimaran came in first? I could see it pull away on the tracker…:-)

It seems that a mono hull kicked butt on everyone and then 2 smaller Trimaran's? I would also be interested to hear what the first three vessels were.

@@rentiap The first one was the Class 40 `Red´, which was out of reach for us. The first Trimaran and second over all was a small lightweight Farrier. The light wind conditions were perfect for this small and very light boat. Direct in front of us sailed a Dragonfly 35. There were in reach but were much luckier with wind and routing.

@@dragonfly40ultimaterastaba22 Thank you for those details. Sorry for not replying earlier.
The class 40 'Red' was not even fair game. But the 35 like you said got luckier.
Now that one has had your vessel this amount of time. How would you rate the ease and performance of the in boom furling main sail?

@@dragonfly40ultimaterastaba22 The first trimaran was a 27" Farrier F82R "Flaneur" sailed singlehanded.

Think it’s a combination of your mainsail and the fact that a lot of the time you sail your tri like you would sail a monohull on downwind legs. The tracker confirms that, a multihull is slow dead downwind.

Very exposed steering position if you are singlehanded. Switch to autopilot or is there a way of steering from the doghouse?

Beautiful boats....but as far as performance....they are too nicely appointed to sail into the winner's circle.
