Between Skyblivion and an Oblivion remake I have a lot to look forward to as someone who played Oblivion at release and got hooked on the Elder Scrolls series after that 😁
@@SanelyRed I bought Oblivion on release then before I could even get out the sewers my Xbox360 died and I could not afford a replacement or a fix. I love the idea of getting to play Oblivion, finally. Is it harder than Skyrim?
A remaster of Oblivion would be so great. What you said about graphics is very real for me but backwards. Love Skyrim, recently tried Morrowind and loved that too. I grew up on older games, but Oblivion's potato heads are a specific type of ugly I just don't want to deal with.
Totally fair dude! I honestly didn't mind oblivion once I got over the graphics, but it's a hell of an adjustment going from Skyrim to oblivion, or hell Skyrim to morrowind
this could be a very good thing if they do a VR version. Skyrim VR with mods is one of the greatest VR games out there. Fallout 4 VR is also good due to the modding community. So I expect yet another big and great VR game from Bethesda ❤
Honestly really shitty of bethesda to plan a remake of oblivion instead of doing anything else when Skyblivion is literally almost complete. Those guys have been so hard at work for about a decade, and bethesda is basically planning to steal in all their thunder. I hate what bethesda has become.
Tbh I agree to a certain degree, I think it's a pretty lame move to outsource a remaster when this project has been in the works so long ESPECIALLY if they plan to release it the same year as skyblivion... Like why this year lol
Oblivion was the second elder scrolls game I played, morrowind being first because of my older brother, I was too little to remember a whole lot about morrowind besides riding on those giant battle things and dark elves, but oblivion I exploited the hell out of that game, I know just about every glitch from duplication, a NPC that if you haggle with them paralyze him and pickpocket him and you get infinite gold by pressing the gold continuously, going under maps for shopping clerks to steal their goods in a out of bounds chest, haggling with citizens to get them to fight guards because you can unlimitedly yield to guards and a NPC comes up to punch the guard to protect you, I have nothing but love for this game
I predict that they'll fumble it. Can't wait for Oblivion Remaster to have its own MTX-Store build in and no modding support. Maybe they got cold feet because of the community made "Remasters" and couldn't let the cash go unearned, maybe they'll even sue all the fan projects over new TOS they implement with the Remaster.
I bought Oblivion the day it came out and honestly, it's still my favourite ES game. Sure it looks old and dated now but at the time it was mind-blowing, both in terms of the graphics and scope of the open world. There was a period of time between 2004-2006 when it felt like games were being pushed to new limits that didn't seem possible before. You had Doom 3, Rome Total War, Prey, Quake 4, Halo 2, Half-Life 2 and then Oblivion. The others looked amazing visually but Oblivion felt like a living world. I still see Oblivion through the lens of how innovative it was for the time. With that said, I can never understand the argument of a game not being good just because it's old. New graphics and some updated mechanics would be great but Oblivion is still a good game.
Why not morrow wind first? I want to play that game so bad but would have to download and apply mods in a very involved way that leaves me just not wanting to play the game lol
I recommend the bare necessity mods. Just accept that the game will look ugly, and go in trying to break magic/alchemy/enchanting as much as possible. It might take a bit but you'll learn to love it. It's a very "numbers go up" kind of game.
I really wanted to play morrowind more but it's really not aged too well, I could handle it but it was an adjustment ESPECIALLY since there's no controller support
I personally never really mod Morrowind besides OpenMW. I don't know why but unlike Skyrim which I mod a lot, older Elder Scrolls games I keep as vanilla as possible. I really enjoy Morrowind, and used to be able to not get into it for the same reasons as anyone else. However, after enough time of trying to get into it everything clicked. It used to be hard to look at, but then it started to have a sort of charm that fit the setting very well. The hit chance ended up being something I enjoyed as a sort of proof that I was getting more skilled at what I wanted to be then pure damage could show. Plus the whole Alchemy and Enchanting breaking is so good feeling in it. Being able to soar through the sky in one jump, and run so fast I clip into the floor really isn't something the other games have.
For a graphics overhaul for Morrowind I'd suggest the watercolors mod. Helps the game art feel much much more like a stylization choice than a hardware limitation of the time.
Oblivion is my favourite game of all time. I'm all over a remaster. Plus this doesn't affect Skyblivion, which is basically a different game. I'm going to play both but I want the original experience with new graphics.
Of all the games they could have remastered, they chose the one that'll showcase that Emil Pagliarulo was always a hack, and that the Dark Brotherhood quest line was only "good" when you're an edgy 13 year old.
I agree i played oblivion on ps3 after starting on Skyrim but the graphics and physics was dated and there was no trophy support. PC is the superior system for any games from the past..
Oblivion models were terrible, but its quests were fun. Skyrim models weren’t the best, unlike morrowind it’s insanely hard to distinguish a nord, Breton and imperial. But I guess I grew up in the early 2000’s so I’m use to terrible graphics and models so the older games look good in my opinion
The mystery is why doesn't Bethesda use they're updated engine for the remake of Oblivion because that would be a lot better
I actually believe they're using both the creation engine AND UE5!
Between Skyblivion and an Oblivion remake I have a lot to look forward to as someone who played Oblivion at release and got hooked on the Elder Scrolls series after that 😁
100% as a big ES fan we're really eating good next year
@@SanelyRed I bought Oblivion on release then before I could even get out the sewers my Xbox360 died and I could not afford a replacement or a fix. I love the idea of getting to play Oblivion, finally. Is it harder than Skyrim?
@_indrid_cold_ It can be harder at first but once you get some skills leveled up it gets easier
Skyblivion team is getting a cease and desist letter from Bethesda any day now.

Those potato heads are savage. Abosultely savage potatos
It's a dull, unoriginal, and uninspiring era of reskins, remasters, remakes, and even remakes of remakes...
I'm looking forward to it. I've never even played Oblivion and have only just played Skyrim for the first time, it's good news for me 😅
Maybe but for me I'm hyped

Watch them make us buy the dlc separate
LOL sounds bout right

Like can they not focus on TES 6?
Tbh I agree to a certain degree, I think it's a pretty lame move to outsource a remaster when this project has been in the works so long ESPECIALLY if they plan to release it the same year as skyblivion... Like why this year lol
I imagine its Microsoft requesting this, not Bethesda. Bethesda have nothing to do with this.
Very possible, this first originated from the Microsoft release leaks
Yeah, they've making a lot of "spite the fans that made us successfull" decisions since about 2017 or so

Is it too soon to request a remaster of Starfield, but the twist is that the remaster would be fun?
Imagine that lol! It'd be hilarious
It's possible, I'm waiting for more official info before I make a verdict however
if the rumors about the renaster using UE5 for its graphics, i seriously doubt there will be mod support, i just dont see epic allowing that to happen
VERY good point

This along with the Fallout 3 remake was leaked during the FTC's court case against ABK.
Merry Christmas AJ
Merry Christmas brother
I can absolutely guarantee Skyblivion will be better. WAY better.

Because it would need a lot of work. Oblivion is just getting graphics overhaul.

Happy for you brother! We eating good

That's quite the take! I'll be interested to see the reception of the game!
ok boomer
Oblivion was much better than Skyrim.
Skyrim was just todds favorite
That's totally fair! I love Skyrim to death but there's definitely a reason why Oblivion is so well regarded
We have remastered Oblivion at home.
Hurry up and make ESVI and stop wasting everyone's time Todd.
I agree i played oblivion on ps3 after starting on Skyrim but the graphics and physics was dated and there was no trophy support. PC is the superior system for any games from the past..
Why tf oblivion when it’s the most recent game after Skyrim? Why not remaster Morrowind instead?
I think a remake is rumoured and not a remaster. But I might be wrong here
It's been rumoured it could be both, I went with remaster as it seems more likely since it's way easier to put out but it may well be a remake
The studio doing the remake is not known for putting out quality work. Expect another GTA Trilogy disaster.
Ah that sucks, hell here's hoping tho
Oblivion models were terrible, but its quests were fun.
Skyrim models weren’t the best, unlike morrowind it’s insanely hard to distinguish a nord, Breton and imperial.
But I guess I grew up in the early 2000’s so I’m use to terrible graphics and models so the older games look good in my opinion
They should remaster all older TES games.
Daggerfall first then morrowind
I would kill for this!
Average skyrim fan who only played skyrim and nothing else
Oh..GODDAMNIT, it's ME
LOL! It happens brother, I do recommend checking out the older games tho! Oblivion is a banger and even morrowind can be quite fun (although jank AF)
I am so uninterested in remakes and remasters i'll wait for ES6 but u guys have fun 😆
That's fair, I'm praying ES6 is good!
You know what's crazy spaghetti have you ever heard of it? Well, I'm eating a big bowl of spaghetti with not 1 but 2 bread circles
😋😌👌☺️🤗
Roadhouse
You know what's crazy, the low taper fade meme is still massive
@@AJThirdStreetreal
It got leaked like 5 months ago lol
Yeah it got leaked with the court documents, but I believe a bunch more info dropped
16 times the detail
Lol I originally had a thumbnail for this video that said 69x times the detail next to Todd but changed it for something more professional looking :/
