    • @Esme-gf4jd
      @Esme-gf4jd 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nobody said it was fair. But knowing this, people still take a chance using pot around their kids? Why take a chance? It's like you get drunk and you know the cops are out Friday night yeah let's still drive. How dumb do you have to be?

    • @duckykittn
      @duckykittn 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Esme-gf4jd yeah, but it's not considered child neglect/abuse to get drunk around your children. It is a drug, just the same as marijuana, and if you want to get technical, the same as caffeine and nicotine. All 4 of those are "drugs," and yet the one that actually has medicinal benefits is illegal for most people to use. And NEVER in front of the children! *GASP* What if they learn that it can calm anxiety or alleviate pain?! Where could that lead them in life??? They might grow up to be LIBERALS!!!!!! *Shudder*
      It's time for people to grow up and get over being prudes. Marijuana is not illegal because it is a drug. It is illegal because the government can not stop people from growing it themselves, which in turn means they can't tax it and get their blood money.

      Too many times we see mothers come out saying but l, but l, but l. This mother was apologetic from the jump, seems to me she wants to make amends and should be given the benefit of the doubt unless it can proven otherwise.

    I lost my daughter for 11 months for weed. My levels were so low (CPS told me that theirselves) they said they can tell I didnt smoke a lot. But even so they took her away. They gave her to my mom, who was a pill abuser and even came out positive for something she wasnt supposed to have. I did everything and finally got my daughter back but man I just sometimes think and cry about how bad the system did me. I was only 17 but I loved my baby. Years later cps was called on me and I told them they werent allowed to come in because of that, the lady looked at me and said “I saw your file and for that I am so sorry, we dont wanna take your kids away” but man hearing a case worker basically admit they did me wrong was so relieving. My kid was taken in SC for 8 months because of SUSPECTED ABUSE. She was reported to have bruises all over and a swollen head from head trauma. After being checked it was confirmed that the “bruises” were birthmarks. And the “swollen head” was just her having a large head.
      I did everything they asked to me to do and they kept her. By the time they gave her back, she had no clue who I was. She was gone from 3 months to 11 months. Luckily I got a judge with common sense eventually and she threw the entire bs case out. If it weren’t for her, I could’ve possibly never seen my daughter again .

Took her kids gave them to someone that had no clue on how to take care of kids. They went through hoops to get their kids back they were abused daily. After 3 yrs and over $130,000 she got them back with a lawyer. She had a civil suit against CPS & the judge. She was awarded 375,000 & the kids were awarded $400,000 that was put in a trust for them. When they turn 18 they'll get a portion & again at 21. The new Judge that heard the case said their babies shouldn't have been taken in the first place.

    Steve I love ya but I had a CPS case in 2009 in Sacramento California. Although my case was not drug related I met many families in family court and group counseling that lost their children for smoking weed. It was illegal back then! And CPS is a government funded human resource/business. The more they “serve and protect” the more funding and profit their “business” receives from our government.
    It’s s big fat crock of shit in a lot of the cases. They do too much and demand extreme compliance for those that maybe just made some bad choices but yet there are so many cases out of my county where children are taken from parents, placed in foster homes where they are abused and often die at the hands of the people that are supposed to be providing and protecting these babies.

    As a former foster child and with a sister too. We were both in different foster homes but experienced the abuse of them. My sister took until she was 30 to realize the damage done to us. She completely blocked out the truama and thought i was lying. She was a thief, prostitute and druggie. I cut her out my life at 23 because she refused to face her past. I was always aware of the truama so i was the angry one with lots of emotional truama. No one believed i could stay as sane as i was with my abuse but i refused to turn a blind eye. At 23 i almost killed myself but survived a decided to cut all negative people from my life. When i started my family at 32 i called my sister. She finally got her life together and i welcome her back into my life. Its proven that some people have a harder time facing their truama. My sister did and maybe her sister did too.

The CPS worker that took me from my family 100% fabricated the entire report he took on me! I got to see what he wrote down later on from the interview that he’d done w me. And I swear on everyone that this man made up an entirely fake story! He even “QUOTED” me saying that I’d said certain statements that were sooo far from the truth and Made up out of thin air!! I was absolutely floored! And as if that wasn’t terrifying enough.. the even more terrifying part.. when I moved back home 5 yrs ago.. I had to go apply for assistance for my family and I.. and while I was waiting at the front counter for the lady to come back to help me.. and who do I see walk out from the back and past where I was standing at the front counter.. none other than the snake 🐍himself! Still working there! I froze and it was like slow motion as I watched him walk by and wave and smile at another case worker.. he was smiling.. but all that I cld think in that moment was.. he was the devil himself, and how many other families lives has this man destroyed since then?! How cld he still be working there? 😮 I was shocked and horrified!

  • @MeiaParker

    I am the daughter of Bobbie Jo, my name is Maggie. My issue was not that she lost us, it’s that the story is never clear and my daughter deserves a mother who’s clear within herself and that she could have showed up whether or not we were taken. We were violated as children. And I do genuinely know that it is a possibility to lose your children to the system. But those children deserve a clear answer when they ask.

    • @InTheMindOfDavid
      @InTheMindOfDavid 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m sorry but no she couldn’t have come see you girls. You were taken away by CPS, she couldn’t just come see you. When children are taken there’s an automatic protection order against the parent for the safely of the child. If she had just shown up she would have been arrested.

    • @InTheMindOfDavid
      @InTheMindOfDavid 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also, back at that time CPS absolutely were taking children from homes where a parent was smoking weed. It happened all the time back then. Society opinion on weed has only just recently changed in the past 10 or so years. Back then weed was considered just as bad as meth and heroin and they took children away because of it all time. So completely disregarding that explanation as being a lie and not making sense is just wrong. You need to look at the situation in the context of the time in which you were taken, and not through the lens of our opinions on weed today.

They took off my favorite blankets, they even said when my mother was still living beat me and my mom and I know who they are. I would put their names out, but I really wish I could be on this to my story and honestly put them on the spot because it’s too late to put them in jail and this was like 18 years ago for me I was 12 had another kidwould put their names on here too, but I can’t. Steve, come on you have to know there is deep corruption in the justice system and in the child care system. There are so many horror stories of families who have had their children taken from them for ridiculous reasons and then the children suffer for those reasons and systematic failures. This mom put her children in care to keep them safe and to give them better opportunities and the system and foster family failed them and abused them and the system and the foater family should have been held accountable. You need to do more research into these type of stories and understand this does happen.

    • @Luna_Gamer_-ec7xu
      @Luna_Gamer_-ec7xu 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      I have. I'm literally the girl in the green. And as one who has had memories with my mom, I can tell you that even if my mom didn't have much to her name, she took care of us the best she could with what little she had. The foster care system took us from her by covering up the reason for that with meth. Although it was part of the problem, it was really because we looked absolutely nothing like our mom. And yeah, there are some cases where kids can be taken for meth, but that's not even the case. The foster care system kept telling us that our mom was dead, that our mom didn't want us, when to be quite honest my family can tell you that that is not the case. The adopted family that my sister and I were put into actively lied to us because we were young and we were stupid. And there's actually more to the story than this episode, mainly because I couldn't say what really happened because of the fact that they did their research based off of the news articles that they found on Google that actually are based off of this story. Like I said before in my original comment, there is so much that is unsaid and twisted about it, and nobody knows what to believe anymore except for those who lived it.

    I’m usually on Steve’s side when it comes to things, but he’s completely clueless on this matter. Joshua Hill of Rockville, Texas had his daughter taken away in 2017 for smoking pot. She later died of abuse in foster care before he had a chance to get her back. I know there was another case just like that in Colorado with a couple and their son before legal marijuana was passed.
