I was brought up to know that a real man doesn't hit women and that's based on when I observed my mom and dad together with each other and that's how I figured out that a real man doesn't hit women.... I knew a girl who’s ex-boyfriend beat her,intimidated her saying he would kill any man she dated,he also threatened her saying he would continue to beat her. I asked her if she wanted me to talk to him she said he’d hurt me and her,well it continued until she took her safety into her own hands !! She told him to leave her alone he continued to assault her he she told police the next time she would defend herself well he broke in trying to harm her so she picked up a shotgun and defended herself !! She was so upset but it was ruled that she acted in self defense !! She was a beautiful woman,I had danced with her at the bar,I walked her home many nights only to get a kiss in the vestibule she said that she didn’t want to get me hurt because I was trying to get with her !! My point is toxic relationships usually don’t end well for either party because they are subjected to physical violence whether it’s meant to be or not !!

Im a survivor of DV and this story made me pissed at both of them. I had no strength or courage to leave and protect myself. I was stupid. I thought leaving would make it worse. Having a baby changes everything though. I made sure to get full custody of our son and fought for supervised visits. I won and he disappeared. Before people start bitching at me about having a baby with an abuser, he didn't hit me until I was 4 months pregnant.
I'm a DV survivor, also. I also got pregnant and had a baby by my abuser. He didn't begin abusing me until after I had the baby. Luckily, you were able to leave with your child. I was not. My ex left, with my son, while I was at a doctor's appointment and fled to Florida, from Michigan. I knew no one. I had to call my grandfather in Delaware to come get me and bring me back home. I was 22. I am now 46. It's not easy to leave. I wanted to a million times. He threatened to unalive me. He brutally beat me. I was afraid for my life.
And not a single soul has a right to say a word to you about having a baby with an abuser. They know nothing about your life, and it isn't their place to judge you. We all make our own decisions and walk our own paths. Our paths lead us to our specified destination. Where we are meant to be. (Not speaking religiously - I'm not religious.) 😊

While yes, I left when I found out my abuser touched our daughter, I feel for those who feel they can't. I know this is an old episode but the brother needs to get custody of her kids. Regardless if she's being abused, she admitted to going back to him for his money and knowingly put her kids in danger. If it was just her, and she went back to him anyway then unfortunately that's her choice but once you have kids she should've left, I'm sure her brother would've helped her.
My son and his wife are starting their 2nd year of it. They are 5,8,12. They did it because a ex cop n a teachers sons was touching my grandson in school made it out it was my grandsons fault for telling. They did nothing because of who's sons they are. I know this is an old episode but the brother needs to get custody of her kids. Regardless if she's being abused, she admitted to going back to him for his money and knowingly put her kids in danger. If it was just her, and she went back to him anyway then unfortunately that's her choice but once you have kids she should've left, I'm sure her brother would've helped her.

My son and his wife are starting their 2nd year of it. They are 5,8,12. They did it because a ex cop n a teachers sons was touching my grandson in school made it out it was my grandsons fault for telling. They did nothing because of who's sons they are. And now with all the school threats and stuff. They are safer at home
