No denying they’re fast! When I check my Strava after my run I had a few silver medals on some challenging segments that I wasn’t even trying on! That surprised me for sure
I bought the 1st release ones. No regrets. Never bought the Alpha Flys . The Zoom X foam is something to behold. So comfortable that I had to give away my HOKA Rockets, Mach and Cliftons. Some kid in Africa is wearing them now thanks to Soles for Souls. With that said. I've ran em in the road and in the trails. Feels great. The carbon won't be as pushy compared to Road Version Race shoes. BUT. The Zoom X is where this shoe shines . Can't really put a template on the overall review because.. Terrain defines every shoe performance out there and everyone who wears these shoes will have both positive and negative reviews based on the area and conditions they live in.
I really like my Ultraflys but as you said the price is way too high. I bought them when Nike had a 25 % discount on their website but even that price is too high IMHO. But the feel and performance of that shoe is great.
Big fan of these … and Nike trail in general, the weirdly work nicely along my stupidly huge collection of Altra ! (Some Nike are even wider and more spacious!)
@@trailandkalesorry for the late response, nothing wider than this one and actually I quite like the uphills in these - the feel like they are helping a tiny bit !
Definitely not… there are much better carbon road shoes for sure: here are my favorites right now: www.trailandkale.com/gear/best-carbon-plate-running-shoes/
Got them for 130bucks... for that they are good... but over 150, big pass. Hot take: but I even enjoy the Zegama (the first edition!) over the Ultrafly, especially when I have to "hike" more than to run. But the upper is amazing for my very wide shoe. I also expected them to be softer... my Caldera are definitely softer, and even the Zegama feels similiar and more comfortable because they are less stiff.
@@trailandkale I know that Nikes trail shoes are usually on massive sale after 6-10 months, the zegama 2 is defintely on my list. Thank you for your Videos
I absolutely love my UltraFlys. I feel they are fast AF. The bounce and energy return of this shoe is nuts. This is my go to racing shoe for sure.

Yeh they’re fast that’s for sure! They got me some Strava medals and I wasn’t even really gunning for them!
Hey guys 👋🏼 Let me know if you have any questions or share your experience with the Ultrafly here 👋🏼
I have over 200 plus miles in mine. The heel slip is a little annoying. Otherwise awesome trail shoe for moderate trails
Yeah that’s it - moderate trails they excell! 👌🏼

Yeh a bit overpriced for what it is but I agree they’re damn fast

How do you find them on steep climbs? They were a bit of a let down for me. Also, which Nike Trail shoes do you find to be wider?

They’re definitely quick shoes! ⚡️
@@trailandkale in a slight quandary whether to go the Nike ultra fly or Altra MB carbon for a 62 km ultra this sat!?
@movemorenowjames have you run in either of them? Seems a bit close to the start line to try a new shoe? You’re brave 💪🏼😛
disregarding of price, how do you find the shoe as a road running shoe then?
Definitely not… there are much better carbon road shoes for sure: here are my favorites right now: www.trailandkale.com/gear/best-carbon-plate-running-shoes/
Just got some for £138 ❤️❤️❤️
Bargain! How are you getting on with them??

Have you tried the Zegama 2 yet? Some great improvements over the original.

@Chungdol thank you for tuning in to the videos! P.s. that’s a good Nike sale tip right there! :)
Man I would watch more of your videos but the music is just to off putting. Love the videos, otherwise.
That’s a shame you don’t like music. Hope you found the video helpful anyway.
