I love Allan bibles there my favorite brand to hold but i cant start using one everyday because every time i try I just miss my Quentel layout. But i know exactly what you mean the paper and covers are amazing nothing thats like BOOM! In your face but pure top of the line high class

Hi Tim, I enjoy both your channel and your website. I started collecting premium bibles about a year ago so I have a small, but nice collection. So far the four premium bibles that I own are :
Allan 7C Brevier Clarendon KJV with Cyclopedic Concordance (Black Goatskin)
Zondervan Premier Collection NIV Verse-by-Verse Preacher's Bible (Black Goatskin)
Schuyler Canterbury KJV (Marbled Mahogany Calfskin - Full Yapp)
Allan ESV NC1 SPC - (Black Goatskin)
I'm looking to eventually add a Cambridge Bible (not sure which one yet). All of these bibles are excellent, but I like Allan Bibles the best so far. Keep up the great work!
Nice!! Cambridge definitely has some great ones to consider. I LOVE their NRSV text blocks!
I love Allan Bible... they are so beautiful! I have 3 of them...the Dark Brown Cyclopedic KJV,personal size ( Holy Bible on the cover); a Medium/ Caramel ESV, and a Black NRSV
(with the apocrypha). I have to tell that these are quite different among themselves in sizes, page quality, leather cover grain, fonts, art guilt, softness/ fluffiness of the page cover...

That’s three very unique editions!
I’ve had several Allan ESVs in my time. My very first one was an ESV3 in black goatskin. It had a card-stock inlay with “Holy Bible” written on the front, no art gilding. That was my first premium bible and I regret selling it.
From there, I had a 2011 ESV text from Chant that I wrote in and cherished. However, I wanted an older Chant in 2007 text cause I really liked the old font, so I sold it.
In 2015, I bought a brand new 2007 black Chant from eBay for a great price, but I sold that one a few years later (I can’t remember why).
Before I sold the 2007, I bought a 2007 ESV Chant CRE in British tan, but I sold that too. It was brand new, but I like black more than tan.
From there, I found this strange Allan with the ESV text (I can’t remember the year) that was like a black, genuine leather with card-stock. I sold that because it was not what I wanted.
In 2017, I got a black Ludlow CRE for Christmas, but I sold that too (I can’t remember why).
In early 2020, I bought a brown Charfleet ESV NCR that I sold because I didn’t enjoy it as much as my Chants of the past.
Around this recent Christmas, I bought another like-new black 2007 Chant... but sold it because it felt too nice to use. I was always nervous about damaging it!
Back in January, I bought another Ludlow CRE, but ended up selling it because it came damaged from BiblesDirect.
Currently, I own a black NCR Charfleet with the 2016 ESV text. Since I find Charfleets not as good as Chant, I’m not as afraid to use it. I think I’m done there (with the exception of a Ludlow CRE that’s not damaged).

Hey Tim... I heard you mention the new Allan ESV SCR that's coming out this year. Very excited about that! I'm thinking I will be owning one of those in the Green. I've had quite a few different Allan's come and go, including the R1Y Yellow, but am down to just my "keepers" (that's when I wright my name in them just to make sure : ) which is a black NCR (which I just love, just something special about the paper and the gilding) and a Petrol NASB with red under gold. The SCR should complete my collection.

I just love this review, and I’d be so blessed to purchase one of your Bible’s! I love your comparison video’s because if gives me a pretty good idea of what I would like. After receiving my Allan ESV PR, I’m thinking like it better than my Schuyler NASB wide margin. It weighs 4 lbs, and I can only use it at my desk because my hands are so full of arthritis that lifting it is a real pain! I so look forward to your reviews, and you are my #1 go to for information on Bibles. You do really need to look at the Humble Lamb, edged lined Bible’s. You can get it in NKJV or NKJ. It is a lovely, well made Bible. They sent me one as a gift when finding out about my health. A real treasure to me! ✝️

Hi Tim, I just came across this video and love your review. I am still trying to decide on an Allan Bible. I'm leaning towards the 62 Longprimer Sovereign but I'm not a fan of the KJV.
Their ESV and NASB editions are also great, Cindy!

I can't afford it so I don't need to think about which text block I prefer. I have to save my money for the new Thomas Nelson KJV Sovereign collection Bible, in leathersoft! But I will love it just the same, and enjoy reading and studying from it just as though it was made with premium materials. After all, it's what's between the cover that really matters! :)

Do you have an estimate on date release for ESV SCR ? I just received my first Allan. I thought I would put it away for a special occasion for my granddaughter but I want to keep it myself. LOL
