Mike Matei - I think you have the best quality streaming setup for classic games that i've seen. I love that you always show the box art and the audio/video on everything is top notch.
Damn I wish I could just sit on the couch and play a super hard game with Mike and get some laughs out of the frustrating experience of trying to finish the game.
The extra life is a head on a stake, so appropriate for this game, like "here's another chance to die..."

X3 Not only does the game make you beat it twice but it’s so hard that even on occasion...it’ll reset automatically to the beginning.
It’s not the NES, Mike. Capcom wanted the game to be SO hard they programmed it to reset itself. XD

the biggest obstacle in this game I felt is that you need a rapid fire weapon. Some of these enemies are just near impossible with the slower weapons. GET THE KNIFE!

Woo nice work. i always thought the fire might be handy for the flying enemies since it arcs a bit, but everyone says you can't get anywhere with it. I personally can't get far with any weapon, but I enjoyed watching you fight your way through with it. I always think you might give up, but you never give up!
The set of armor in stage two is to the top left of the ogre building. You have to jump at the wall.

Seems like the NES version is much easier than arcade. You get random extra lives, the red lucifers on level 6 only take 3 hits. The red Aremers dont attack all at once and sit still. In addition you you get a nice pause & continue feature.

Try Cursed Castilla for PS4 if you can find it. It's a good spiritual successor to this series.
At 13:00 u are at the checkpoint of 2nd level so when u continue it is throwing u at the checkpoint and not the beginning of of level 2
hard game but a good challenge i tried tourch only on the snes version
Great run although that is painful to watch without being able to give you some very helpful tips as it took so long for the chat to mention very important things while at other times they never did at all... that really made me want to try this challenge.

Mike, do a speed run of the original Zelda, but you have to beat the levels in order and you cannot die. That should be an actual tournament. Lives come before time, and no using glitches intentionally.

I know some people like the controller on screen but I don't think knowing what you're pressing is important. It was cool for about a minute then the flashing buttons became distracting.

I hate the nes port of this. Sega did an interesting and unique port of Ghouls n Ghosts. Amiga500 is probably the best Ghost n Goblins port. The arcade version though is the best. Even with infinite quarters it is still super difficult. Super GNG is amazing. The jumping takes some getting used to, but it is just an amazing game. Ultimate gng for psp was amazing. Never played golden knights for ios. Resurrection was good..but not amazing.

I'd have to agree. Some people would give that honor to Battletoads, but percentage-wise I was able to complete more of Battletoads than I was able to in Ghosts & Goblins (even though I've never been able to beat either one).
NES Ikari Warriors without the continue code is hardest.

How could it have taken you like 13 hours to beat GnG arcade but you can do the NES version with torch only in 3?
The arcade version is a lot harder - for example, the enemies are more unpredictable and fly around all over the place (although they tend to home in on Arthur), the moving platform on stage 1 can randomly change direction, the Big Men on stage 2 can walk through walls, and there are fewer armours.

The Torch is so fucking bad that I literally restart the game if I pick it up, and if it lies in the way somewhere then I would rather lose a life.
I am dead serious - not even the Klobb in "GoldenEye 007" comes close in terms of suckiness.

I always found this game extremely hard..the SNES version looks easier in my opinion..anyways keep the awesomeness coming you should do more challenges like this
