I think that may be the singularly most inspirational thing I have ever seen on youtube. Loved this finely crafted short film! I enjoyed the beauty of the images Ken and Deborah create, but combined with the heartwarming collaboration and interaction between these two, well it brought tears to my eyes. As a serious amateur photographer who has often felt may have missed his calling, seeing films like this one serve to inspire me to keep shooting, so thank you both. Bravo! Very well done!
you're right about the movement - and perfection. the reaction to your work reflects the breath and life you allow in every frame. thank you for the project and staying with it.
Deborah Ory Ken Browar love your work truly inspiring!! Was curious if you would share with us what ball-head mount and grip system your using in this video?
I enjoyed watching this video. Thank you for sharing, through your videos I have realized that there are different types of photography. I believe I will focus on portaits because I like the creativity behind it.
Totally moved! Brings tears of emotion to the eyes. What a wonderful project. You have captured some amazing moments. Beautiful. I was a dancer and used to take photos at the Scully-Borovansky Ballet School. So ireally appreciate your work. Thankyou for this video. You have brought it ALIVE again. I would love a copy of your book. LOL
Beautifully done, & masterfully executed. This is what I had envisioned as a fun hobby project for myself and the potential that exists is so bloody exciting. I cannot properly convey how thankful I am for the inspiration to move forward and see my goal to its completion.
Absolutely stunning work. Love the passion and warmth that goes into each of the shots. Really admire your dedication to your art and to the free nature and expression of the dance
Loved it! Amazing to see you guys work, to hear you speak and to get to know you better (and the cats too!). Please keep up the great work, we're all watching and enjoying :)
Serious question - what sort of viewer finds a video like this, watches it, but then gives it a thumbs down? Why were they even here in the first place?
Beautiful work! I can only hope to attempt such concepts but I wouldn't know how to communicate well with dancers. Looking forward to more art from you two!
Beautiful documentary. The work is very Irving Penn. If he were alive today I could imagine that if he had all the latest gear and a digital MF camera he would do it very similar :) Great work.
Awesome, I've seen some of the NYC dance project but I haven't looked at their background. I photograph pre-professional ballerinas but would love to do something like this at some point.
Thanks for the video. great story. I also shoot a lot of dancing as I'm also a dancer. Different dance dynamics (lindy hop is a social, partnered dance) but I can appreciate the passion :)
Absolutely stunning work! Love the medium format, your attention to detail...those skilled and awe inspiring dancers...wow! Can I ask how big your backdrop is and if they are Oliphant's...I find betting backdrops wide enough for dance to be challenging. Your lighting is beautiful too. Thank you for this video Adorama!!
I've been following your stunning work on Instagram for awhile. So beautiful. Do you think a photographer who was never a dancer could photograph dancers like this?
Hello Couple... Awesome work.. Loved it to death..Can you guys give some insight about the backdrop you are using.. its length and width .. How do you make sure that dancer does not slip on the floor while they are moving or leaping? Please help.
