I forgot to mention, the main megazord didn't have a proper dragon mode, it lacked the head piece, & the arm for the space mode didn't work with the blaster.
While I can't explain the Surferzord, with Dinomaru, it's not like the excuse of "if it wasn't used in the Sentai's main show run, then it can't be used" holds much ground either, Lord Dravon, the big bad of Dimensions in Danger, came from the Ninninger movie, as did some footage. Had they used Dinomaru (I think Kyoryumaru was the name of the sword in Shinkenger that granted Hyper mode, but my mind still mixes them up), it would have been released in the toyline, the only reason it wasn't, outside the anniversary being more Tommy focused than celebrating PR's history (that's how it feels anyway) thus he has to help save the day, was that the episode didn't have enough time to include it and it's combination with Shurikenjin. Though no dobut, it would have come with another repaint of Ninja Steel megazord...
We took one look at how badly they messed up with the Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation and went back to the same online store and got my ToQger gear from.
No Sub Surfer zord, though it was only in one ep, it woulda been nice to have, even without a color coded megazord. Really, we didn't need megazords for each alt zord, most of us HAD the main megazord at that point. What woulda been neat is a box set of ALL the alt zords, even the T Rex they didn't use, since Dino Charge did something similar with their zords. Also, the Lion Zord was TOO DANG BIG, & it took forever for the red ranger that went with it to come out. We needed a smaller Lion, more in size with the rest of the line, that combined in the proper ways, with a mini red ranger, & the kids still coulda had the Lion playset!
the reason white and pink never got the Lion Fire Armour: those 2 DID get the armour in JP, but only in a stage show. as for the megazords, it was EVIL forcing you to buy extra repainted megazords, and I actually expected a purple version for Sub-Surfer. I got SO confused when that happened. as for the dino zord, that was movie-exclusive in JP [no adapted footage, even though they DID adapt other bits of footage, and they COULD afford it, too].
Were you not bothered by the fact the male rangers are super jacked up and the female rangers slimmed down? Wish they were more show accurate, thankfully I think Hasbro is fixing that from the looks of the White Tommy Figure.
I've always hated when Power Rangers have exaggerated proportions (which is one thing that would immediately put me off an animated series if that ever happened); I like them looking like regular old people in spandex/armor.

The Ninja Steel Stars were such a WASTED oppurtunity. If they made it to where the faces came down to act as masks for the Megazord then that would've been awesome. Imagine the NS Megazord with Alien Reds helmet or Ninja Megazords.
Dino Charge and Ninja Steel weren't available in Poland. Meanwhile with Beast Morphers I was able to grab every basic figure I wanted. For Lightning Collection we only got second wave, bout I can import figures from Uk Amazon and Zavii for the same price
This season was like megaforce, super megaforce, samurai, overdrive, in the quality of the zords also, those seasons scream to the costumers to import the Japanese mechas, dino charge is the only one that is safe, but I still prefer the Japanese mecha over the American version.
That was a dickish move, but I think to know WHY they did so: they knew their product was crap. It looked worse than the Japanese version, you couldn't play with them by themselves and they released better versions of them as articulated figures that couldn't transform. So they packaged them with other marginally better repainted zords to make sure that they could sold them. And because of this they cut decided to not make the other zords.
Technically Bandai Japan started the morphing/Megazord integration in Go Onger with the engine souls. And the batteries in Kyoryuger could fit inside the dinosaurs in Japan as well, that wasn't an American invention
Yeah I agree. I actually got the green ninja steel megazord repaint as a gift. The plastic quality was so bad that my friend who got it for me was pissed that he spend over $30 on it. I ended up buying the first line of the ninja steel ranger figures and I just imported the Japanese mecha from Ninninger as they were far superior to what Bandai America was producing. And I got them for a fair price on Amazon. I noticed a lot of other people doing that as well and that probably hurt Bandai America a lot over the past two years.
well they've nobody to blame but themselves. making original molds was the start of this whole mess. granted sentai aren't dirt cheap but at least there's decent production quality in them.
Something in Ninja Steel that wasn't quite right? Um... that morpher. Seriously they had no problem using guns to morph in Dino Charge but had a problem using swords in Ninja Steel.
1. the ninja stars also broke easily as you have to yank them out of the morpher. 2. The skeleton gator along with other figures here in the states I never saw in stores(NEVER). ALSO THE LOW VILLAIN FIGURES STOCK. 3. the auxillary zords in dino charge were perfect then ninja steel happened and I wont say more. 4. the last 3 zords are awful figures do not buy these unless they are 1 dollar each. 5. The quality was terrible the whole way. I had to buy a second ninja steel megazord and bull megazord as they broke. I never have to buy 2 megazords to replace existing ones
I doubt that Bandai America actually cared to put all the effort they could have in the Ninja Steel toys, because going out with a bang would have made sense....
Hasbro does the Marvel figures (with the Build a figure) and they do Transformers both of these toy lines have a lot of movement to them. i think Hasbro will blow BoA Ranger toys away.

You forgot to talk about power rangers rpm vs go onger version on the zord toys the g12 ultrazord is way better than the american one you can find repro parts for certain zords.
thanks for this presentation! Probably one of the ugliest Power Rangers toy line! Figures looks very cheap and i don't like the Ninja steel Megazord design ( the toy is even worse)
While I have mixed feelings with the Megazords of this line, the American versions look incredibly cheap and poorly made compared to the Japanese ones, so bad that they look more like bootlegs than real products sold on shelves.
Playmates Toys were able to make Voltron toys and with light and sounds waaaay easily than BoA. WTF happened?!! Also, hating on the Yellow Ranger...guess they knew his character was horrible in the show, they decided to make his toy sell less. Hehe. Just because he wanted to ditch Hayley and he was not being consistent.
Megaforce had cards. Meh. Super Megaforce had Ranger Keys. Cool. Dino Charge had... Dino Chargers. They were cool, but not as cool as keys. Ninja Steel could have had cool Ninja stars. Instead, we got foam pieces of trash. Between this and the steady decline in the Legacy figure series (Not-So-Gold Zeo Ranger, Miscolored MMPR belts, lack of weapons, Wave confusion and figure delays/cancellations), I am excited to see what Hasbro has coming. So far, their reveals heading into Toy Fair have been top notch.
@@nightlypiano41 Haha it wasn't a real thing, but I speculate at 8:07 that Bandai might have initially been planning a combining anniversary megazord which ultimately got canned when they ran out of time and resource. I'm jumping to conclusions, but those 3 zords they gave us in a year with only one other megazord seemed to suggest they wanted to do something bigger for the 25th.
Like you, I am worried about articulation on the main figures. I love collecting the main line figures, but limited articulation is like most of Hasbro‘ southern main figures, I might hold off.
dunkanbulk14 they look great! They seem to have way more articulation than most of Hasbro’s basic figures with all the paint applications they are known for. To be fair these are still press images and there could be some differences between the photos and what we get. Hopefully we can get a different look at Toy Fair.
Rule one of a show toyline. If it doesn't appear on the show, you need to make the toy good enough that people want it. I really like the idea of a megazord representing different seasons, although I can't imagine something like that having two zords to represent mmpr. Zord builder is cool and all, but an official multi season megazord needs to happen. I wouldn't mind them doing a line of that with multiple megazords.
#4: I saw the problem with figures was they got so cheap with weapon accessories. The main lines only come with the sword, cockpit came with the chainsaw sword, super cockpit mode came with a huge blaster and the lion armors came with an altered sword. BOJ figures had already created the morphed weapon in 3 of the 4 modes, and also the frog blaster weapon. Instead we get these weapons in the 6 pack..... and most of the fans already got the figures individually. And we get the stupid training mode that and the accessories that were only seen on the wall in the command center not even used! And the one thing I hope for with the Hsabro line is they keep the ranger figures in the same scale as Bandai has given us, with more than just 1 accessory. (I'm not saying go RPM figure accessories crazy but atleast to give us main weapons).
Dino Charge toys were awesome. Loved the repaints Power Packs, and especially the original zords. You pretty much covered what was wrong with Ninja Steel toys. However, personally, I liked the repaints in order to get the UFO and elephant. What I didn't like was that Bandai left out the dragon wings and tails. Still, it would have been nice if we had a choice between the repaints and being able to get the auxiliary zords by themselves. Hate that they didn't make the Dino and Surfer. I'm disappointed at the Beast Morpher Zords toys though. They could have been better.
I need to be able to buy the toys for beast morphers in Canada I want the morpher and probably the red ranger's zord cuz nick of gobusters has that standalone robot mode I would want yellow and blue zords depending on how good the build quality on Nick is I would want his "arms and legs" too.
