This gives me an idea for a comic book series. It's about a scientist, his wife, her brother, and their large friend who go up in space and are affected by cosmic radiation. This gives them unique powers such as: Invisibility, elasticity, the ability to become fire and, lastly, skin made entirely out of impenetrable stone! Brilliant!
the incredibles
Craig Stratton Fantastic 4
i was joking when i said it.
Apollo 13
Super Friends... lol.
This is what happens when fantastic four makes a left instead of a right
Turn Left
Re-Calculating
Your comment kinda reminds me of an episode of doctor who
Yup! That’s what I was thinking lol!
doesn't the beginning of the story sound nearly exactly the same as the fantastic 4 story??
It's an homage to the F4.
Yeah, but instead of becoming a band of heroes, they tragically committed suicide. .-.
yup but waaaay more twisted
exactly to the tee
Really though
The space shuttle story seems fantastically familiar.
Four sure
Jonathan Petrosky *claps*
*claps louder*
*claps even louder*
When I first watched this I was thinking: wait what? Why did the fantastic four die?
As if Marvel doesn't use DC's ideas
Jonathan Petrosky it shouldn't be a surprise as both companies ripped off each other left and right
Cyborg Superman is one of my favorite Superman villains. I'd love to see him in a live-action film some day.
***** Really? from 1 video
***** That Superman was from a long time ago, he's absolutly nothing like that. I just think that was a writer from back then being really really lazy and not thinking things through.
DoctorZero986 you know if it's on the big screen they'll fuck it up🤦🏾♂️ look at suicide squad
He looks like Superman Terminator
he will appear in the show supergirl.
Hank Henshaw had an origin similar to the Fantastic Four. You could say that he's Reed Richards gone bad.
+Vincent Franklin He's like Reed Richards + Ultron + Superman
Very true!
Don't compare him to the weakling reed
Sigh......
yep
I actually feel sorry for this guy. Going into space, crashing and everyone trying to stay alive, then all his friends suiciding, incuding his wife because he scared her. Finding out the guy who did it; being naturally angry. Going down there to try and avenge his own body and his friend's lives. He's already dead! Nothing left to do but replace him; then get overthrown because the twit's still alive!
Seriously, I suggest a nice hot bath and a sleep for a few hundred years- works like magic!
couldn't agree more.
That actually might help him out, but he actually wants to die. Which is why he joined the Sinestro Corps and worked for the Anti-Monitor, the only being that could kill him.
***** And that still didn't work. If it weren't for the reboot, he'd probably be stuck in this mortal coil until the universe ends. Which, going from DC One Million isn't going to be for over 83,000 years
Still doesn't make up for how much of a douce he was to the other supermen in the doomsday comic
SUICIDE BY MRI?!
SO UNDERRATED. Not only does he look terrifying, but he's maniacal, intelligent, powerful and not to mention, killed 2.5 million people when he destroyed Coast City
And caused Hal to go postal
So the crew is the Fantastic Four :P
Failtastic Four
:I
I win.
wut
*Fantastic Fail
That's a FANTASTIC origin story! I FOUR sure hope its not a copy of anything.

The Question superhero origins?
PACR66 That I want to see. I saw the story line centered around him & the Huntress in the Justice League Unlimited TV show.
phyrath5 Oh yes, I really liked all his episodes in the Justice League Unlimited, but I like the character mainly because "The Question volume 1" by Dennis O'Neil.
How about, the Parasite?
hey can i have a shoutout
Cyborg Superman is badass. He has everything Superman has, power, speed, flight, and more, only slightly better. Now add on to that the ability to control ANY machinery. He could get the Bat computer to transform into a laser weapon and shoot Batman. He could get Cyborg to attack the other heroes. He can get every car on the planet to turn into giant robots. Now add on lantern rings. Like what Sinestro has, but 10 of them. Now have him be able to transfer his mind to any piece of technology and reform himself, making him immortal. Now give him an army of energy sucking robots and you have yourself Hank Henshaw.
Even Parallax couldn't completely destroy him, and Parallax destroyed the entire universe.
lord Darkseid PLEASE FORGIVE ME LORD DAR-
/Spoiler about Green lantern serie\
And just remember what his only wish is : dying ......
HolyDanna note he said COULD
sounds like fantastic four gone horribly wrong
You couldn't be any more on point in that obvious assumption.
Hank: We're not super villains. Just a group of four scientists who narrowly survived a space shuttle explosion and got alterations.
Superman: So the Fantastic Four?
Terry: No, we're not the Marvel superhero team-
Superman: A wise leader with white colors in the hair, a beautiful woman, a flying being made of an element and a man turned into a golem. Sounds very familiar...
Steven: That doesn't mean we're the same!
Superman: And working for a company hosted by a major villain.
Jim: That's the movie and you know it!
Superman: So what's different about you guys?
Hank: For one thing, I'll turn evil, Steven and Jim will die and Terry will narrowly survive. And I'll insert myself into a robot and eventually become an evil robotic copy of you.
Jim/Steven/Terry: What?!
Superman: First, Bizarro now this.Maybe I shouldn't have put Eradicator in the sun the same time a crew was flying nearby.
I really like the cyborg superman tale, but its remind me in some way the fantastic four origin... The man, his wife, his brother and a friend who're affected by a mutation in the space and in some way they gain superpowers.
That was intentional. They were a parody.
Joshua Clough Oh I see...
Joshua Clough That is correct, but I am not sure that "parody" is the best word for it, maybe "reference" fits better.
Rodrigo Schmidt or 'inspiration'
here's an idea: "cyborg and superman' vs cyborg superman"
dar even cyborg super man would shut down cyborg in a second
Look bro. I gotta be honest with you.
Just for that comment you have my vote for 2020
Teach them the fusion dance Super Borg a.k.a. Clarktor Stont would wreck him
Dominican Dragon oh you poor poor man
only only not really hank got disabled by a regular nerd while batman couldn’t even power down cyborg.
Dude, that shit is dark
Suicides, suicides everywhere!
Wow, that was kind of dark for a origin story doing that time.
The 90s? You serious?
The 90's was VERY DARK!
*****
That darkness was addressed in the miniseries "Infinite Crisis." Things had grown so dark that the original Superman decided to return to set things right.
*coughs "Fantastic Four" coughs*
more like u foes. didnt one look just like xray?
I'm a fan of the origin of Cyborg Superman in the New 52, where he's resurrected by Brainiac and was originally Supergirl's dad.
That's a way better and much more simple origin story. I still think that New 52 ruined Mr. Freeze, but I forgive them because of the Court of Owls story lines.
Zane Martin
New 52's hit and miss. For everything they do great, there's always something ruined. We get a fantastic writer for Aquaman, but we get Rob Liefeld to do a Deathstroke series.
Zane Martin
it is simpler, that's why it sucks. unless you're new to comics. i'm not. i like continuity. hate new 52
yeah the new 52 is doing pretty well they know what they are doing and I love the new origin on wonder woman it feels more right than being made from clay
Thor Odinson Not boring , interesting. Don't kill me
Hankhen shaw is a failed Mr. Fantastic. He went nuts and became a twisted superman. Oh marvel and DC, how I love that you two copy one another.
maxbooyaka619 He was going to be, until Sups pulled a resurrection
***** aside from DNA
***** Oh, the similarities are the group, going into space and getting bombarded with radiation
So basically Fantastic 4 gone wrong
Damn, that origin story is dark
ultron and fantastic 4 love child then.....
This sounds like the fantastic four gone wrong.
you mean like a black human torch?
Ace Pichel
Nah,. black human torch is not a problem, color of the skin doesn't take away from the character, his sister being white instead of black, that makes it confusing.
3:59 That's MUGEN
3:09 Titans tower.
4:03 " as well as in several DC based video games ".
And to illustrat this fact, you show a Marvel game.
fantastic 4 gone suicidal
Damn
This shits pretty dark man.
+34Floaty I know; is it not great?
Why do people hate superman so much? because he is OP? oh please people who say that do not know comics or enough about DC villains to come to that conclusion. He is suppose to be powerful hence the name "SUPER" man?. I personally love Superman because even with all his power he has faults which is what he is suppose to symbolise which is Hope and to never give up. If people don't even understand that then im sorry go home and read the comics. BTW I love DC and Marvel but It just annoys me how people don't like superman even though most of the time they don't even know or ignore who he is and what he is mean't to symbolise.
I don't hate Superman, far from it, it's just he is hard to make interesting because he's so powerful. That's why his most interesting stories tend to be Elseworlds or alternate realities where things play out differently. Or things that upset the status quo, like Kingdom Come. Where he is actually in danger and can be hurt and killed. Or where circustances led him down a different but similar path, like Red Son or Gods and Monsters.
@@ransax
That's what makes him interesting, it's now about what he does with his powers it's how.
I still want a Supervillian Origins: Super Skrull
People, it's no secret both companies copy one another in some form. Hyperion is Marvel's Superman. Joker once had a team that was essentially the Avengers, even had Thor as a Norsemen. It's not a big deal, so shut up and take it as a parody as they come.
Hell, WatchMojo made a video about this.
Never forget Deathstroke and his infamous and ridiculous parody Deadpool
Nguyễn Mạnh Hà Except Deadpools more popular.....
What the hell? That origin story was like a screwed up version of the Fantastic Four origin. Except it's an origin where everything goes wrong.
Yeah I think they did that deliberately.
That was the whole point...
Why have I just heard about this guy??
If you were around in the 90s you probably would have heard of him because there was the hugely publicized arc Death of Superman, then a bunch of imposters showed up to take his place, in The Rise of the Supermen. Some were villains like Cyborg Superman, and some were heroes like Steel and Superboy.
Come on WatchMojo its time for a Metallo origins.
Hey, the comic book origins are awesome, but you should try to also do videogame hero/villain origins too. Got plenty of cool ones to pick from
What an original origin...
3:59 Wow you guys REALLY used Mugen!?!
for everyone saying the team reminds them of Fantastic Four thats because its supposed to. Out of respect for the F4, DC basically made a homage/pastiche to them in this issue.
fantastic four anyone
cloudynamite I think he is talking about the similarities between this crew and the Fantastic Four.
Origins of Peter Quill/Star-Lord ( you know you want to)!
The President looks like Bill Clinton
Who’s here after watching the death of superman
Gotta love the Injustice fan services.
That was not a "DC based video game" that was Mugen
Technically it is , but unlincensed
Who's here after watching "The Death Of Superman 2018" movie?
DC based games, as they show Mugen LMAO
XD
Mugen with Marvel characters.
Mugen is the best DC fighting game evaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrr
I like how Marvel and DC ideas are meshing up with each other at certain points :D
The approach for fantastic four was too clear in this series, but i enjoyed it :D
I was thinking of The Fantastic Four too.
Wow, I liked the origin. Never knew it was so dark and awesome!
Come on WatchMojo its time for a Supervillain Origins: Vandal Savage
Wow I like how Cyborg Superman's story is a complete ripoff of the Fantastic Four... xD
Im pretty sure the hank henshaw story was written as a spoof of Fantastic 4. Long b4 the death of superman
Instead of becoming super awesome super hero squad.. They just committed suicide or went mad and committed suicide.. Suicidal 4.
Totally.
I'm spoil glad someone else notice ;-)
Other way around you do know it's marvel copies do right?
Always love a Supervillian Origin clip from you guys. Informative, yet not in anyway pretentious.
So, at the beginig they was copycats of Fantastic Four?
His Cyborg Superman form has such a badass look to it, I love it.
Come on, come on, Raven!
I didn't know he was in Injustice!
its a Superman costume that you unlock while progressing into the game
o
It's a skin you unlock it automatically if you have the ultimite edition or you can unlock it
It's a skin from the Zatanna compatibility update.
one of the 90s greatest
he will continue through history like Mxyzptlk and Metallo
I find it interesting how this is essentially the origin of the Fantastic Four flipped on its head.
SuperHero Origins: BLACKBOLT!!!!! PLEASE MOJO!!
The beginning of the story sounds like the origins of the fantastic 4. But then it was different
but then suicide
And to think that we were gonna see THE Hank Henshaw on Supergirl! :(
Clayon Gayle very soon
Its Fruity • I hope so. And I do not want Jeremiah Danvers to be Cyborg Superman, because that would be cheating. I would like the real Hank Henshaw to still be alive and be terrorising Superman, like he does in the comics.
Clayon Gayle
derpy cherry yes...?
That was awesome, honestly I have heard of the 4 superman, but never imagined that it would be awesome as this.
Glad the video got uploaded! Thanks!
That comic remind me of Fantastic 4, but which comic appeared first?
"Not Awsome" is right cyborg superman's origin is a parody of the fantastic four's
best series ever
Superman's most underrated villan. I think this is my favorite Superman villan, more than Lex even
It would've been nice if you guys had added the part where pretty much destroyed Coastal City and blamed it on the Erradicator. This is the beginning of Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) going insane with rage and eventually becoming Parallax.
Everyone always complains that Marvel stole so many ideas and characters from DC yet I always found it strange that the Cyborg Superman's origin story is simply a twisted version of The Fantastic Four's origin
+Neg Ative radiation is a really common origin story though. the only reason its similar is because there are 4 of them lol. and it's incidental...cyborg superman's specific origin was really when he went into superman's ship and turned into a kryptonian cyborg.
EyMeng
Pretty sure Hank Henshaw was intended to be DCs version of Reed Richards but with a different ending
Neg Ative all i can say is go team venture lol
It's an homage. It was done on purpose, just like the countless Superman homages like Hyperion or Gladitor
Cyborg Superman is good villain But he will be very difficult to put on screen
Not really, if it could be done with Terminator in the 80's, what makes you think it can't be done 40 years later.
Jeremy Moore hes talking about his origin story... which is a mess.
Is the same problem that wonder woman has...
I don't see how WW's origin can't be put on the big screen, Zack Snyder's done stuff like it before, it should be simple.
Jeremy Moore ... *facepalm*
maybe as a standalone movie incluing the story from the new comics, the old ones are pretty campy...
Aragorm522 Wonder Womans can be told correctly im excited to Gal Gadot is going to own
so DC's fantastic four
Cyborg Superman is the Terminator with Superman’s powers and Mr. Fantastic’s origin story.
For those people saying this is a copy of fantastic four, don't get me started on how many Marvel characters are copied from DC. Just don't even go there
can we really saw they are copycats (the team, not dc and marvel we all know they copy each other) only like two are copied
So why does marvel do it so much better? ;)
This is what should have happened to the Fantastic Four! lol
This was great, I'd never heard of him before!
If you didnt get it, he is a pastiche of Reed Richards.
Cyborg Superman was really interesting in the Sinestro Corps War.
GOD what a long origin.
Why has he not been the cartoons or animated movies yet? Hey about some of the villains and heroes who haven't made appearance yet.
*****
You might be right. They did a good job with Jason Todd after all.
But come on Marvel and Dc got some other pretty cool characters I like to see, Fin Fang Foon, Doppelganger, Lockhead, Eradicator, and The Black Lanterns.
Supervillain Origins: Omega Red
5 years later
Reign of Superman
the VISION
ORIGINS??
So he went from joke Fantastic Four to another cyborg?
You mean "Joke Aquaman"?
I always wondered where Cyborg Supes came from; now I just feel sad for him. :(
Cyborg superman is the best arch enemy superman could have.
they should do nightwing
Agree.
Is it just me or the origin of the cyborg superman sounds s lot like fantastic 4? Especially the beginning part? I'm referring to the fantastic 4 movie.
No it is not you.
tarnell4003 s
Cecilia Morris Forgot the word is.
Cyborg Superman is basically an unlucky and evil Reed Richards.
pretty sadistic villain. great idea this guy. fits for a movie easily
Hmm 4 astronauts go into space and are hit by cosmic rays that give them strange and fantastic powers? That sounds familiar! Fantastic Four anyone?
why is he fighting galactus in that video game? what game is that take my money
Hank and crew were a re-imagining of The Fantastic Four, like Squadron Supreme was a re-imagining of Justice League...
"He is a cyborg. But he is not Superman."
I feel bad for robot cock Superman. His intentions seem pretty sweet.
lonesharkadriano Sure, I've had battery operated ones before.
Riona Sera Hmm...interesting.
lonesharkadriano If you saw me at work, you'd be saying more than that.
Riona Sera Wow, that would be astounding.
lonesharkadriano Oh, it is. And I'm visiting my robotic vibrating friend in a few minutes actually. toodles
Terminator rip off. Not surprise, this mechanical imposter was created at the early 90 's. Thus, it's creation was heavily influenced by the movie Terminator.
Eh, I'd say Post-Crisis Metallo was more of a Terminator ripoff than Henshaw.
+MaxadBarre dont forget fantastic 4 rip off
Don't worry his New 52 look is less ripoff and more terrifying
At the beginning that is LITERALLY the fantastic four origin story
Thanks for doing this origin.
fantastic four?????
***** you know that hulk was originally a rip off of Solomon grundy, right?
***** Lol, what a troll. Almost every Marvel character is a DC rip off. WatchMojo even have a video about it.
Nabin Chowdhury yep, I believe Marvel has copied more than DC has.
Nathan Marshall Actually, Jeckyll and Hyde + Radiation scares of that generation.
RICT0R origin, yeah design, no
hulk was even gray back then
Sounds a bit too much like the Fantastic Four origin story.
it is
What happens when the Terminator has a kid with Superman.
This reminds me of the Batman Beyond episode "Heroes" and how the Terrific Trio were pretty much the same deal with scientists becoming superhuman, but losing their humanity and lives rather than becoming blessed with having great powers like the Fantastic 4.
