That expedition would have rusted into dust on the east coast. I am amazed not to see a spec of rust on any car in any video you posted so far. So nice to see the classics alive on the west coast.
That Protege reminded me of a little Honda crx recently that we saw. I would have opened the wallet instantly for that one. What a nice little car. Thank you for the video.
Love your videos. Especially trying to guess the prices. My dad had that series Avalon and my mom a matrix. Funny those were both in this one. Those ford triton engines with problems are the V-10 models.
I do still have it, I need to make an update video on it. Just waiting for a little better weather now. Thank you so much for the comment, I really appreciate it!
Those old Mazdas were infamous for paint problems and eating headgaskets like a German man eats sauerkraut. That Windsor in the dead row is a really cool boomer era classic. I'd keep the paint just the way it is. The 88-81 Civic next to the LS must have came from a salt state - it looks pretty shot.
Love the Avalon, I had the same year but in the Camry XLE only reason I got rid of mine Way to much for engine maintenance tune up and timing belt replacement exceeded over 3 grand and it was more than I wanted to spend for example the set of Denso coil packs over $400 bucks.
The Avalon seemed half decent for the $ ... 1mzfe 6 cylinders are prone to sludge...however, they go..and go and go if the maintenance is well cared for... that's what I've read online ... The Lexus had the same engine.
Yes, they are great vehicles. This one needed some love but I think the new owner got a good car. My parents have an early Avalon and it's a great car with excellent fuel economy considering the size of car.
It's doing well, I have been doing a little work on it here and there. Nothing much lately as waiting for spring to arrive haha. It could use an oil change but very much road worthy. I plan on an update video on the car. Thanks for asking!
It definitely sounded like it!! No it wasn't, I think it was a creek in the floor or something coming in contact with the microphone. But sounded just like a fart haha.
Wow! That Protege was nice for the age and miles. You can always tell when a vehicle has been taken care of.
No doubt!

It’s a amazing how long they live over here haha

Your parents have some great cars! My parents have an Avalon and it's been very good. Thanks for the clarification on the Ford engines.
Do you still have the white lesabre? Love your videos, always makes for a good day.

The Ford Escort and Mercury Tracer, were versions of the Protege.
Mazda protege has not been seen in New Jersey for past 20 years. They were well used them junked or rusted on east coast.
Trucks were in good condition and the Contessa could easily be brought back.

It's crazy how much maintenance can cost. I can understand why you didn't want to keep yours. I prefer timing chains whenever possible.
@@highmileagehopes9860 yes it wasn't an easy decision.

Pontiac Vibe, was a GM version of the Matrix.
GM shift lever, must have a 454.
Matrix easy Fixer upper.
