idk how many instrument accessories Barbie has had. i know my sisters had a saxophone and a drum set. the sax was just a bent plastic cone with a handle. it was a bigger handle so i think it went to a Ken originally. the drum set was really cool it was all plastic but i remember that every drum had a different tone when you hit them.
Sir, you are a genius. Love the Barbie voice-over. Love the special effects. And most: love the exquisite irony: a miniature grand piano (ironic in itself) playing a real-life HUGE pipe organ! LMAO! How about emulating a "toy piano" on the synth? Double irony? You never cease to amaze. Well done... just.. well done.
Between the project itself and your puppeteering skills I was grinning like an idiot the entire time. This is one of my favourite things on the channel now
Isn't there like keychain toy Instruments that do a little noise? This is an actually useful experiment. Great. This is such a great gag to bring on tour with you too.
Absolute GENIUS!!! 😂🤣😂🤣 Please do make those 3D-printed finger extensions (or at least try to get a hamster to play it!) - I need to see that! And, yes - that is exactly the voice I always imagined Barbie to have! 😂🤣😂🤣
Sam, you are a strange and twisted genius. Absolutely love it! I really didn't expect that keyboard to be polyphonic. (And your new co-presenter is a bit of all right :¬)
I'm imagining a fingertip setup a bit like a typewriter where you have 3d printing prongs shaped up to map bigger keys to tiny little pokeys to hit the actual notes
Wow there's the thing of the day i thought i'd never say. I actually really enjoy watching a grown man play with a barbie piano. im sure you were as astonished as we are to see how well you can get it to sound on the synths.
Funnily enough, i was thinking you could grow your nails and file to points (or use false ones), or to get the finger plectrums And then you mentioned 3D printing :D
I just love toys being slightly anarchic and violent, and this had a bit of a Eurotrash/Young Ones vibe. The surreality (not a word, should be though), of the massive organ and tiny plastic keys is up there with your "tv electrocution skeleton" from waaay back, for crying with laughter brilliant silliness.
Truly the funniest thing I’ve seen in ages and she sounds so right. It sounds like she knows what she is doing. Made my night and as others have said, millennium.. The phrase was “I am definitely holding it”.
this was hilarious, i think my favorite video of your ever. i love the 3d printed finger bits idea, they could each be shaped like little hands with a finger sticking out or something
lol BRO like 2 years ago I got really into synths and your channel and circuit bending and all that, I literally bought like 4 of these barbie pianos because it was such a fun thing to circuit bend. I've got a box full of them on my shelves lol. Finally something to do with them all!
I remember seeing other kinds of keyboards with unusable black keys. Some have black keys playing C, D, F, G, and A instead of C#, D#, F#, G#, and A#, while others have black keys which provide an automatic rhythm instead of sharps.
I think it was Tantacrul that did a video about how so many musical toys lack black keys, forever cursing parents to hear children smashing on keyboards only in the key of C.
I've been watching your channel for years, but this is the first video that made me cry from laughing. At times the Barbie reminds me of techniques used when filming the old TV show Thunderbirds
You could possibly, maybe, create small hands to scale for the keyboard that can be controlled via "gloves" wired to the small hand. sort of virtual hands. You could at a minimum control tiny fingers that move up and down scaled from larger motion.
Clearly you need to make a little robot to play that keyboard which is itself controlled by midi. Then you can play a normal human sized keyboard which will play the barbie keyboard which will do the thing. Keyboardception!
I wrote your channel off when you visited the Italian museum of synths, I was really annoyed how you manhandled those synths, but the organ stuff brought me back. You are def top notch smart dude. Love all things analogue
I didn't manhandle the synths. I mean they spent the last 2 decades piles on top of each other in a damp warehouse. I have no idea why people thought it was manhandling you weren't the only one. I'm confused how other people handle synths. Anyways all good
I love jow the first thing Barbie played on it when it was finished was nothing to do with Barbie, but The Rugrats! 🤣👏 Well done for your hard work Barbie!
2:35 Barbie holding a soldering iron was so awesome that I just lost it. 5:12 And now the size of that hole for the DIN plug made my eyes get big! 6:58 WAAAAAH! AWESOME! [evil genius laughter ensues] So convenient that they wired it the way they did! Maybe you could hold two or three toothpicks in one hand to make chords? But yeah, maybe some kind of 3D printed hands that slip onto your fingertips? That would be suitably mad.
So, for some reason I've become fascinated with Alvin and the Chipmunks lately, and just the other day i was pondering how people might go about making instruments for the Chipmunks to play live. Imagine my surprise when I see this...basically explains exactly how I imagined someone might go about it.
A Barbie Piano controlling a real pipe organ, sounds like a world first to me. Hat's off to making the Barbie Doll scenes. They must have been a pain in the neck to prepare and shoot.
0:00 : This is weird, but fun. 2:00 : The effort in Barbie holding up the PCB alone surpasses many trending videos on YT. later : Sam must be procrastinating, there is no other explanation.
I think they always wanted to get into the electronic music instrument business. I have had two Synsonics Drums. One in the 80's, and one in the early 2000's.
Hearing Barbie say "Lovely jubbly" has made my millennium
It sounds like a Barbie with the soul of a LMNC
Sam's Barbie honestly reminds me of photonic induction 😆
Nice! I so wanted to hear Barbie tell you that you didn't know what you were doing though.
Aaah I missed a trick
Is this a new world record for the biggest instrument played by the smallest mechanical input device?
Now I want to see a Barbie with robotic hands that can play the keyboard.
With MIDI in?
He could make a device that works like a pantograph so he could play normally on the tiny keys
Especially if Sam can find a Barbie nun outfit complete with a wimple.
yeah! do this haha
@@higihups MIDI to BIMI* to MIDI
*Barbie Instrument Manual Input
Barbie needs a spin off series, where she upgrades all her accessories with your help.
Look mum no Ken

Agreeee
Hilarious! More Barbie builds please! Love that she is in charge and your the assistant!

How about emulating a "toy piano" on the synth? Double irony? You never cease to amaze. Well done... just.. well done.
I want Barbie to help you build all your future contraptions. It was hilarious!
The fact that you even kept up the Barbie thing for three- and a half minutes amazed me, way to commit to the bit.
Between the project itself and your puppeteering skills I was grinning like an idiot the entire time. This is one of my favourite things on the channel now
Absolutely love the fact you can play the church organ on that tiny barbie piano total genius
What every child would love to do.
Isn't there like keychain toy Instruments that do a little noise? This is an actually useful experiment. Great.
This is such a great gag to bring on tour with you too.
You had way too much fun making this 🤣
All my life I wrongfully assumed that barbie was all beauty and no brains, but now she appears to be an electrical engineer! Nice 👌🏻
And a talent for classical music.
Absolute GENIUS!!! 😂🤣😂🤣 Please do make those 3D-printed finger extensions (or at least try to get a hamster to play it!) - I need to see that! And, yes - that is exactly the voice I always imagined Barbie to have! 😂🤣😂🤣
The original organ builder would never have guessed. Well done!
I'm glad I was an 80's kid... toys were awesome in those days.
That is just ridiculous, hilarious and thoroughly entertaining! Cracked me up Sam!! 😁😎
plugging the barbie keyboard into the church organ was a stroke of genius! so funny :D
and it worked just perfectly
Just laughed my A off, so magnificent! With sheer determination it could be marketed with the Barbie STEM collection. Keep it up, Sam!
Liked the fact you persisted with the Barbie act in the video. Very entertaining and the mods were cool too!
Just noticed that all the hymn numbers are one less than some very popular numbers. Well played, Sam. Well played.
Sam, you are a strange and twisted genius. Absolutely love it!
I really didn't expect that keyboard to be polyphonic.
(And your new co-presenter is a bit of all right :¬)
I'm imagining a fingertip setup a bit like a typewriter where you have 3d printing prongs shaped up to map bigger keys to tiny little pokeys to hit the actual notes
why 3d print the prongs when you have barbie arms that work just fine :P
Wow there's the thing of the day i thought i'd never say. I actually really enjoy watching a grown man play with a barbie piano. im sure you were as astonished as we are to see how well you can get it to sound on the synths.
Your videos really are works of art in their own right.
This seems like a great opportunity to create a computer controlled animatronic barbie that can actually play the piano
The way Barbie just casually picks up that circuit board at 1:58 made me chuckle for some reason 😅
Funnily enough, i was thinking you could grow your nails and file to points (or use false ones), or to get the finger plectrums
And then you mentioned 3D printing :D
i'm glad the barbie set this up cos its beyond our ken.
Obviously, this needed to be made.
You never fail to amaze. I love the quote "Let's try Barbie hands"
The best example of sticking with the bit!
Why can't I like this video more than once?! Absolutely brilliant!
Truly the funniest thing I’ve seen in ages and she sounds so right. It sounds like she knows what she is doing. Made my night and as others have said, millennium.. The phrase was “I am definitely holding it”.
I'm sure you could get a budgie to play some bizzare tunes with one, too!
this was hilarious, i think my favorite video of your ever. i love the 3d printed finger bits idea, they could each be shaped like little hands with a finger sticking out or something
Awesome. I love the commitment to the bit. I was going to suggest "finger sticks" to play it better, but you already had the idea!
lol BRO like 2 years ago I got really into synths and your channel and circuit bending and all that, I literally bought like 4 of these barbie pianos because it was such a fun thing to circuit bend. I've got a box full of them on my shelves lol. Finally something to do with them all!

@@8bitwiz_ Except that I saw the ones which I described face-to-face, not on Tantacrul's channel. And that was so many years ago. 😀
I've been watching your channel for years, but this is the first video that made me cry from laughing. At times the Barbie reminds me of techniques used when filming the old TV show Thunderbirds
Love the fact you can toss the entire barbie keyboard into one of the organs pipes
The number of different skills start to finish to get this video made is a big number
Cyberpunk Church Organ Barbie!
I really can't overstate enough how I want to live in your world.
Not going to lie, a couple of minutes in I began to start thinking "she really knows her stuff" 😂
The bits where you used the organ with it do sound so good. I think that is mostly the organ, but, wow, that was so pleasant!
Love this stuff. Thanks Sam.
Watched this at half the speed, and it was fine 😗
Brilliant 🤣😂😂 Barbie is an electronics whizz 👍
You could possibly, maybe, create small hands to scale for the keyboard that can be controlled via "gloves" wired to the small hand. sort of virtual hands. You could at a minimum control tiny fingers that move up and down scaled from larger motion.
Hilarious, Andy Kaufman would have been impressed! (even more fun to watch at 2x)
My face actually aches from smiling. This has to be your best video ever! Brilliant.
Clearly you need to make a little robot to play that keyboard which is itself controlled by midi. Then you can play a normal human sized keyboard which will play the barbie keyboard which will do the thing. Keyboardception!
A great all time favorite video addition to LMNC's lengthy tradition of all time classics
I wrote your channel off when you visited the Italian museum of synths, I was really annoyed how you manhandled those synths, but the organ stuff brought me back. You are def top notch smart dude. Love all things analogue

Fantastic creation! A few more barbie pianos for donor keyboards and a 3d printed mini church organ console....
I really hope the casting director of the next Barbie film is watching cause this is hilarious.
Now you gotta bring it to a gig, and put it on a pedestal center stage 😂😂😂
Life in plastic, it's fantastic!
Love seeing Barbie upgrade her piano!
Go Barbie!
My sister had one of those back in the day, closest thing to synth or keyboard we had growing up.
Freaking brilliant! SO cool that that thing actually works!
This was a blast. I love videos like these!
Barbie is working like the Furze safety hand, enjoyed it.
I love jow the first thing Barbie played on it when it was finished was nothing to do with Barbie, but The Rugrats! 🤣👏 Well done for your hard work Barbie!
I wish I could get my hands on the shell to give it a paint job. Specifically the string system the rest of the body is awesome as a pale yellow
Barbie is surprisingly violent, throwing things around - did not expect that ;D. Hilarious idea for a video!
2:35 Barbie holding a soldering iron was so awesome that I just lost it.
5:12 And now the size of that hole for the DIN plug made my eyes get big!
6:58 WAAAAAH! AWESOME! [evil genius laughter ensues]

Let's go for the 3d printed mini fingers' extensions!
Brilliant! I love the fact that the Barbie piano is polyphonic.
This may just be my favourite LMNC post !!!
Sam! You mad bastard! That is the silliest most awesome just for funzy project EVER! Amazing
This is brilliant and hilarious. Love it.
I’m deffo getting 80’s Howard Jones vibes off Sam. Genius.
So, for some reason I've become fascinated with Alvin and the Chipmunks lately, and just the other day i was pondering how people might go about making instruments for the Chipmunks to play live.

I really appreciate the dedication to the bit. Fun vid. :D

probably the funniest thing i've seen since my dad tried to build my sister's Sindy house christmas '82
"Don't be afraid to try it" on steroids. Fantastic!
69 - meal for two
420 - blaze it
42 - The answer to everything
8008 - teehee
1337 - leet skillz
LOL. First thing he plays once he gets it working is the RugRats theme. Quite fitting.
This is a fantastic video! Love Barbie building the thing! 👍🏼😄
“Why can’t I feel my arms?” Wonderful video.
Was just smiling from ear to ear the latter half of the video, your stuff is great!
Love the commitment to the bit, incredible.
One word: Amazing!
A genetically modified Barbie with the brain and lovely-bovely accent of Sam.
These are wonderful prospects for the future.
Great work, Sam!;)
It’s like Sid from Toy Story grew up and used his powers for good.
Korg Monotron and CO, also has a smililar keyboard.
You know the Megatron, a heavilly modified Monotron?
despite it's size, it's 1 Volt/oct.
I trully admire the dedication.
You, sir, are crazy and I love it!!!!!
Oh my god, I love this. So well done!
This is about the best thing ever on TH-cam.
I am sure this has always been part of your plan.
You magnificant bastard
What is this? A piano for ants! I think we need a mini instrument series now!!! 😀
The reason the internet exists.
Again, another fantastic creation! Love it! Very creative. Thank you for the belly laughs. Cheers!
