I accidentally discovered one of your video on kefir 6 months back. It was very first time , I got to know about kefir..I still wonder how I managed to get grains...it's been 5 months since I started making kefir and trust me whatever you said today, it's like you are resonating my own thoughts..best part is now I don't fear about getting sick .I simply remind myself that whatever physical problem I have ...kefir will take care of it....whenever I see anyone suffering from any ailment..my first thought is to give them kefir...
I couldn't agree more! My health has improved _markedly_ since I started drinking milk Kefir. I drink it in the morning and evening to wash my Cod Liver Oil down. But getting people to _drink_ it is almost impossible! People are _weird_ !
One definitely starts craving kefir! I'm 7 months pregnant, enjoying kefir every day and your's podcasts, Donna! Kefir is wonderful gift from God and I'm grateful for all your knowledge! God bless you ❤️🔥
Kefir seemed a little gross to me when I was thinking about trying it BUT the very first time I actually drank it, I thought "I can do this!". It surprised me because it only tasted like lightly carbonated milk . This first try I did the 2nd ferment with 1 piece of lemon rind in it like you suggested. It is fantastic. I love drinking it! Thank-you for teaching us!
Thank you for sharing your experience of getting knee pain after having yoghurt. I know someone of the same complaint. For my own reference, this is a podcast more regarding various yoghurt.
I am 63 and after 30 years of not consuming dairy I started following the blood type/genotype diet and kefir and yogurt are considered highly beneficial for me as a blood type A+ Warrior genotype. So I bought some Lifeway kefir from our Co-op and nervously tried a small amount and it was like my body could not get enough of it...I was craving it. While I waited for my kefir grains to arrive (I quickly realized I could never afford to buy kefir from the store indefinitely!) I bought some Bulgarian yogurt (White Mtn. from Texas) and the same thing happened~~it tasted sooooo very good and I was craving it. So now I am making my own kefir and drink it every day and just love it so much and am still buying the Bulgarian yogurt, but would love to know how to make it as well (haven't delved into that yet). I don't know what the maximum amount of kefir and yogurt a woman should have every day is, but I'm just listening to my cravings and my body and I know it will all sort itself out eventually. Right now, I am having about 1-1/2 cups of kefir a day and about a 1/2 cup of yogurt (with honey). I'm also losing belly fat and bloating~~it's a miracle. Thanks for all your videos and podcasts, Donna! I love them!
Thank's Donna for all the information you provide. I was a little skeptical at first, so I bought some bluberry Kefir at the grocery store. and it did aquire a taste, but I ordered the dried Kefir grain's from amazon, well they never woke up after 7 day's , so I found someone who ships live Kefir grains so I have been making Kefir milk for a week now, and love it, I just made a banana and peach smoothie with Pure maple syrup and a touch of vanilla. I am sharing all the information to my friend's, so they can be healthy as I am feeling for a week now, I do have one question. my husband bought me a yougurt maker with 12- 6 oz jars, it's electric and I just want to know if I can use my kefir milk to make yogurt, if you are familiar with it. also I make my own bread and was wondering if I can use my whey, that I separate, for the water that's called for in the bread machine. thank's Nicky
Hi Nicky! The Dehydrated kefir grains never really worked for me. So I only sell the live ones or the Easy Kefir Packets. Both which work great. So glad you are loving it now!! I wouldn't use yogurt maker for kefir. The Yogurt maker will get to hot and kill the bacteria in the kefir. It just doesn't work very well. I haven't used kefir whey to make my bread , as I usually make sourdough. But i've heard others that do an like it! Just keep in mind again that they bacteria will be killed by the eat so you wont get any benefits from it that way. But you'll still get some other benefits from the whey.
Hey Donna I would like to get Kefir grains. I live in Japan. Is there a way to get them w/o them being destroyed by the airport security. I found a place where they dehydrate the grains and send that way. but the grains will die if cooked right? Will dehydrating them ruin them?
Hi Charity! We can't really ship grains overseas as they would die in transport. If you cook with the dehydrated grains they will die above 115 degrees F. Dehydration keeps it at a lower temperature so they're still alive.
If you went back in time only 1 trillion seconds, you be in the Ice Age... its like 32,000 years or something. I always use this example when explaining fiat currency and the national debt
Why the excess use of antibacterial products destroys the good with the bad and strips the ecosystem in our homes and environments and bodies to maintain health 😢
Love your passion about Kefir! I think of my grains as my pet. I take care of them and in return they take care of me

Can you add yogurt starter to kefir milk and make yogurt? Your videos and guides are always so helpful. Thank you.
