As their patient, I can tell you that they are fantastic. And the office staff as well. I brag about them all the time and am always recommending their practice. They are kind, compassionate, respectful, and everything you’d want in a doctor. I love that they are receiving recognition.
How did you distinguish between your doctor and one of her sisters? I just think it would have been incredibly confusing for patients and the staff. Haha 😂 I bet they could play really cool pranks tho!
@@subramanianc9871 they always introduce themselves by first name when interacting with patients. It can be a little trippy if you don’t know that they are triplets lol
This is just fantastic! Kudos to their mom for doing all the right things as they grew up. Kudos to the three of them for staying the good course in their individual lives.
What a perfect example of PERFECT PARENTING!!!!!!!!!!! I'm happy and wish ALL of you only the very best. And congratulations to the daughters !!! Mom deserves a medal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I find this amazing and loving! Not only did this Mom create 3 babies! But she created 3beautiful Doctors who passionately have explored her wildest dreams! 😊
If only there were more women OBGYN doctors that were this caring! 40+ years ago, we only had men in our area, and they were cold. Thank goodness now our area has midwife clinics! Thank you for choosing this profession and caring!
I’ve had good and bad experiences with both m/f docs. The BEST OB/GYN was a male 40 years ago! It IS good having more women too. NICE and rare story though.
Rare, yes, but that all three becoming medical doctors specializing on the very field their own mother specialized in, OBGYN?, all working with her in one clinic? That's probably more unique than any thing I've ever seen. The odds are just so staggeringly high against that. Think about it, ONE could have said, Nah, I respect my mom & sisters focus, but I prefer medical research. Or it could be a professor of medicine or genetics or heart surgeon or a dozen internal medicine specializations. They all could do it, since their mother raised them with love for medicine and respect for patients; but again, that all would choose the same exact focus as their mother... really unheard of.
I wouldnt say rare, there are ways to make it happen , but of course not sure as well but the chances are higher . but then again there are ways to make it happen.
@@kiabtoomlauj6249 again all of them being in the same arent really rare, with proper supervision from childhood to young adult and within family especially with money and mindset of the family decider which I believe the mother . to decide if its really rare you have to ask someone who was with them for a long long time and can be objective.
Raising up 3 girls...that too with mom being a busy doctor..not at all easy..just goosebums...and tears rolled all through the 6 mins...what more to say...JUST FANTABULOUS🥰😇❤. MOM you're so great!. Loads of love Sri Lanka
Thank you for your contribution to women's health. Thank you for caring enough about it to have inspired your daughters and young doctors to the betterment of women's health.
It's one thing to be SOOO PROUD of Mom, but, WOW MOM, How PROUD you are to have 6 other feet following you. I can hear it: Dr. Bedell room 12, Dr. BEDELL Rm 13, Dr. Bedell Rm 14, n ohhh Dr. Bedell your assistance is needed in ROOMS 12, 13, 14!!! 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺♥
This so brought a smile to my face! Great job mom by exposing them from an early age! 👏 I also experienced similar in another field - tried to not be a teacher (like my mom), but ended up doing just that!
I know doctors’ kids who plan to be doctors when they grow up and teachers’ kids who are teachers. I think when you hear it discussed at the dinner table your whole childhood, it becomes part of the family identity. No one has to push you into that field, you just naturally flow into it. Think about the musical families, from the Bach family in the 1700s and the Mozart family later that same century to the Jacksons, the Osmonds, the Judds, the Jonases, and all the families with shows in Branson, MO. Is it nature or nurture (the age old debate)? Probably some of both…
Yes! These days it’s seen as such a negative and the word nepotism keeps being thrown around. Growing up being exposed to what your parents do and aspiring to be like them is such a sweet thing and it’s wonderful to be able to have a family legacy of doctors, teachers, musicians, chefs, etc. I get so much hate for following my mom’s footsteps and also becoming a doctor.
They should get together with those identical triplet brothers in New Zealand who are all lawyers after following in their Mum's footsteps whose a judge 😅 but seriously all kidding aside, a lovely wholesome story, they all seem like wonderful doctors 😊🙏🏼
Sarah and Joanna, Here's the deal, your mom said Vickie was the funnier of you all, that doesn't mean you aren't funny and, it doesn't mean she is the favorite. You each have qualities that Vickie doesn't have. Just read the positive comments about you all. Now, if it is true, that your mom has a favorite, that's ON HER. She is not showing the best of herself, she's teaching something very different. So when you have your kids, you can show the right way to do it. It's not about you, and it is NOT your fault. God bless you. :)
@@favored6007 I wouldn’t have commented if it had been live, we all make mistakes, but I was surprised that on a show like Today, with so many professionals involved in creating a pre-packaged piece (producers, editors, audio techs etc), that nobody realized that the name of the profession that is the subject of the segment was mispronounced.
This qualifies as nepotism but is so different than what we associate with the word these days. If this was just a story told by mouth I’d bet a ton of people would have complained of the unfairness of a doc mom handing over business to her kids and assumptions the daughters didn’t really work hard for it. Seeing this video shows the sweet family connection and how passionate and caring these doctor daughters are. Keeping medicine in the family isn’t a negative thing. It’s amazing to be able to share something like that with your children and have a family legacy.
