Oh boy… They took me up the carboplatinum because my platelets are too low. So I didn’t get that came out this week. I only have five more chemos to go. It helped to hear how your transfusion went well. Because I’m thinking the next time I go out of my platelets are low I’m looking at having to get a blood transfusion myself. So please pray for me as I pray for you.
Hey Rickelle; So I am here for chemo and waiting to get my metabolic panel back- but my CBC numbers just came back and they have increased significantly with the week off and the blood transfusion. I didn't get the blood transfusion bc of my platelets though (they had rebounded to 222 last week) it was because of my hemoglobin. Last week it was 7.7, and today it's 11! I haven't been that high since December on the morning of my 3rd AC. And my neutrophil is now at 1.7, whereas last week it was .9. I don't want to wish for you to have a transfusion, but, if you need it, it works. and the week off from chemo is of course helpful as well!
Boy, I find out tomorrow when I go in if they’re going to take me off the Taxol because of my neuropathy starting or if they’re going to take me off the carboplatinum because I’m anemic and they were talking about transfusions last week. Geeezo. We will get through this. We just have to go through hell to get there!
