Hi Pamela, I just bought the Doodly Standard version today, downloaded it AND: DID NOT play around with it because I watched your basic video tutorials FIRST. Just AWESOME! Just your Doodly Interface "tour" is worth a pot of gold! You explain everything with a pleasant, professional, and articulate voice , and the tempo for me as an absolute beginner was perfect. I watched three tutorials, one was called "mistakes that beginners make". The tips are very useful because you show what beginners do wrong but you also show alternative examples which are very convincing. I have learned a ton without even touching the actual software. But tomorrow I will make my first short Doodly video. I´m all excited. Thanks!
This is a good idea. Now that I am retired and building my own video production company, I will be spending more time integrating the Doodly with my live action and MOGRT productions. Thank you for doing this!
This is awesome. It has been sitting since I purchased it because I did not understand how to use it. I will continue watching and hope I never miss one. Thank you
Yes, It's official. We bought the software and look forward to incorporating this baby into our productions. We appreciate the welcome we have received and Pamela, thanks for taking us through the basics. You make it look so easy. Thanks.
Thanks for these video tutorials! I like the fact you do not forget about your customers after they've made the purchase :-) I bought a few months ago and this marketing initiative is helping me get back to try and actually make use of the software. Thanks!
I bought Doodly last summer, but before I could delve into learning and using it, the whole family got sick with Covid (I almost died), and it's been a long road getting life back to "normal" (still!), but I am just getting back to Doodly. IF this is in the software somewhere and I have yet to find it - I would greatly appreciate being shown where/how; but if not...what I think Doodly REALLY needs is for an "Eraser Hand" type of graphic of a hand holding an eraser, or washrag even, that we could use to wipe off/erase what we have written out. Say like you write something as a chalk drawing or text, and the hand could then wipe it off, erase it from the board before your next drawing/text begins. THIS would be an excellent and highly useful transition tool in this program.
Pamela is easy to understand, doesn't go too fast, pronounces words the way I'm used to hearing them and doesn't get sidetracked - all of which are necessary for learning. Too bad other video makers aren't as savvy!
Thanks for starting this series. Sadly, I purchased Doodly a long time ago and couldn't figure it out so I stopped trying. I'm going to give it an honest effort through this series. I watched this on a work computer and the computer with the software is on my home computer, so I'll check it out there.
This was a good jumpstart for software I purchased on a lark. The opening intro video makes the software look easy enough to use that I may try playing around with it. I look forward to the rest of the series in bite sized pieces that I can fit into a break in my day.
I found that I was able to create a great DOODLY on the first day I purchased it [ a few months ago] as the software it fairly intuitive and it was easy to create and modify my video. I was very pleased with my final product.
I loved the Doodly Interface Tutorial. I love the idea of duplicating a previous video to use as a template for future ones. Very well explained and helpful! Thanks!
It is a good start and I'm willing to continue wishing to be much better in Doodly videos and hope to add some features like hand moves titles for example and can erase with something different like a sleeve's shirt or piece of cloth and add snap fingers will make a better attentions. Very happy that you allowed us to say what we wish Thanks, Brad Callen
As someone who is completely clueless to using technology for these type of things, and felt a little overwhelmed to even try it, this 'calmed" me down a bit and it was a very easy to understand tutorial. Thanks!
I bought this product a while ago and kind of shelved it since it appeared a little involved. I just saw this video and now got off to a good start. I created my first Doodly video this morning.
Glad for this initiative on the training end. Only feedback is that the video settings have changed substantially in newer versions of doodly so there this video is dated. Thanks again for the community.
Looking forward to this series. I purchased Doodly a while back but felt overwhelmed and have not done anything with it. My hope/expectation is this will help "kick start" me to making some videos.
Pamela did a great job with her pacing. I thought this would be just info I already knew but I learned something new! I didn't realize that there was a second preview option. Thanks
All of these tutorials went into my spam folder - which is strange because I used to get emails from you.... anyway - very happy to learn about the small preview window for a quick way to view a particular scene. Don't know how I missed this crucial info before!
Thank you for a first video. I have already viewed all Doodly tutorials. Looking forward for my first own-made animation video :) Thank you for softwere
I was very happy with the comprehensive walk-through on the main Doodly design screen! It's nice to not only know what something does, but to see it in action!
Looking forward to the next video, using Doodly more and more for my online lectures and tutorials, a great way to engage the students and the retention of information improves exponentially.
Hi, we have been using Doodly for a few weeks and we like how easy it is to create content. We weren't aware of the pan and zoom feature or the small screen preview. Thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you, I found this 1st video helpful. Especially the settings button on the timeline as I was using the settings per scene previously which was annoying.
In Doodly I would improve the transitions between scenes, add a hand that can "move" a drawing without having to erase it and improve the guides for the "panoramic" option.
I just recently purchased Doodly. I'm not sure when I'll be ready to actually start creating with it due to other things ahead of it. But, I love this "Training Series" and look forward to watching them all as they come out and gaining a good idea of all the possibilities by the time I'm ready to dive it. Thanks!
Thank you for doing this. I actually was just thinking I need to start back at the beginning and go through training to get tips and wasn't sure where to start so you just solved that for me. You can always learn something new even if it's a section you think you know and I just did watching this! Nicely done and easy to understand
The video was very good as it did not leave very much out but I knew everything that was on there as my own new doodly tutorials will show when I release my own for my academy! I would just like to say well done but did notice that on the settings for the timeline there is a difference compared to the scene setting that on the timeline one it allows you to autosave by ticking the check mark in there! I think it should have been mentioned as people might not realise it is there!
doodly is really a very handy tool and it is so fun to use. if I may suggest - most probably some already mentioned it before.. - it would also be nice to have a possibility to have single items fading out of the scene in various ways and replacements falling into the scene (could be drawn or popping up, flying in, etc.) as of now, very straight forward tool, easy to use and provides wonderful results.
Hi! We do appreciate all the feedback that we receive and do kindly ask that you make a request www.doodly.com/requests/ for the feature so our developers may look into adding this into our app for you. Kindly make sure to first use the search option to check if there is an existing post for your feature request to avoid duplicates. Thank you!

You're welcome, Michael! Glad to hear that :)
Thanks for the video. It has been a while since I last used Doodly. But it keeps inspiring me.
Good to hear!
This is awesome. It has been sitting since I purchased it because I did not understand how to use it. I will continue watching and hope I never miss one. Thank you

Just bought into the program and now going through the videos one by one. Good to see all the functions being shown on how to use them. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Simple straight forward overview that shows the features of Doodly and how each feature/tool can be used.
Thank you for this feedback!
I am totally new at this, so thank you for making these short "how to" videos. It is helping me to understand how to use it.
Our pleasure to assist. We'll continue to add more tutorial videos to help.
Late starter here, now moving forward to day 2 training series.. thank you for this helpful introductory video..
You got this!

It's always good to go back over the basics. Good pacing on this video.
Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you, Bruce!
I just bought Doodly in the last week. I found this video very helpful! I made my first Doodly the first day I bought it! Loving how simple it is!
Glad it was helpful! More videos to come :)

I have been CHARGED TWICE for THE ENTERPRISE PACKAGE and it's a maize trying to get my$ back. You were quick to take my money!!!
What I would really love to know is how to create the animated marks and arrows etc that you are using to draw attention to the various elements.
