Hey viewers thanks for watching today's video Part 2 of the D10 dozer track adjuster job! That silicon bronze wire is certainly different, not something I use too often, could you tell? 😂 But it certainly machines nicely and happy with the end results hope you enjoyed the vid! 😎👍

Looked like the Silicon Bronze went on well, though obviously it doesn't pay by it's self, may I ask what grade/composition it is?.
Thanks. Correction, removed "Not" prior to went, don't know what happened there!

We use Silicon Bronze filler for build ups at work pretty often, what you got there is about as good as it ever goes on unless Tig is employed. We get into a good many ductile iron pistons and SB is the go to for that. Nice job!

@@steamfan7147 I've corrected my comment, I meant that it looked good, I've used TIG Bronze (not to a high standard), and does a great job, never considered it for surface build up. Thanks.

Hey Kurtis, I work for one of the big 3 here in the U.S., I work in suspension development & I use our machine shop for fixtures etc. Before the pandemic we were asked to participate in lathe, Bridgeport training regardless of our experience, when you were polishing that tube with the emery paper it reminded me of a training video we were shown where the operator put both ends of the Emery paper together & held it with his right hand, you know what happened, it pulled his arm in & around that work piece faster than you could say "oh crap", plus he passed out, instead of turning the machine off(they eventually did) his coworkers tried to pull him out...then that was the end of the video....GOD BLESS!!!

    • @CuttingEdgeEngineering

Hey Ken! Yeah it's nasty shit! Some swarf is worse than others. He does have tough paws and usually avoids the worse areas it's the sharp little chip breaker swarf that sometimes get stuck but he lets us know quickly. Hope your sons foot is better now! Have a good weekend mate 😎👍
