I usually follow PPL spilt from the last 1 year but now I recently changed to bro split for 1-2 months for the change(to give shock to my muscles) like yash Anand. Is that right?
So would you say in order to maximize your development, we should hit the maximum weight in the sets before and see how it feels and then pick a weight for later sets? Because I haven't thought about it before like that, and its a game changer imo
People often mistake progressive overload by thinking of it in the same workout. Progressive overload is just increasing your weight over your lifetime of training. If you did 10kg - 12kg - 14kg and did 14kg - 14kg - 14kg - which do you reckon is more effective ? I would say the latter. With that being said, you should also pay attention to where you are in your training. If you are just starting your workout, don't take the heaviest weight you can lift .. you need to warm your muscles and joints so doing the lighter weight as a warm up works well here. For squats, it makes sense to increase step by step as you might have 2-3 warm up sets before doing your actual sets .. good luck.
