For failing at the bottom, one can do T-bar sumo deadlifts. The heaviest point of that lift is exactly off the ground and gets lighter the higher the bar angle is raised
I got another cue for thought to help with the hinge part of deadlift or other exercise that can use it. Think about sitting down. You have to hinge to do that.
You want the bar to be as close to your body as possible if u are pulling sumo. If your shins are bleeding it means u are wedging into the bar correctly. Wear long socks or embrace the pain
Personally I train with pants or longer shorts when I deadlift. Or leggings. But in a meet with a singlet (or if you wanna wear short shorts) just use baby powder. Careful not to get baby powder around where your grip will be though
I’ve recently started sumo and my body type matches it better with sumo in regards to aches and pains. I had this problem and fixed it a bit with brings my hands in a couple inches in.
Watching Stefi's, the clanging and banging is quite the distraction when someone is giving an instructional video. There's one point where she briefly waited, impatiently, and stared at the direction of the noise.

noob question guys. Do i need active my lat on sumo deadlift? I've seen a lot tutorial and some say yes, some dont mention it. Im so confuse. Should or not?
I definitely know that you need to activate your lats when doing conventional deadlift, and im pretty sure that will also help with sumo! Try it out yourself, will never hurt to try anyways
Missing a deadlift is when you have to stop and put the bar back down (or drop it), at any point during the lift, before you lock your hips out at the top. :) In other words: You didn't finish the rep. Good question!

My thumbs seem to get stuck the moment they touch my thighs is this a technical issue or should I just use something like baby powder?
I hit a conventional deadlift PR today!! It was slow off the ground but once I got it moving it went up alright and I'm chuffed about it.

Yes! You prevent the bar getting away from your body this way, and keeping the bar nearer to your center of gravity.
