the roomba is confused because the base is too close to the wall and it got stuck in the no go zone it usually stays away from the base and turns around when it get close

The Roomba e5 has a dirt detection sensor, but not a dirt full sensor that is found on the Roomba i7 and s9. When the e5 detects dirt it will spin in a circle to concentrate on that area. The i7 and s9 have a dirt detection sensor too, but do a short back and forth concentrated cleaning. This is because of the navigation camera, loses track if it spins in a circle.

That's probably the dirt detect for the clean button and dirt detect sensor

The e5 was likely stuck in that corner due to the Home Base. All iRobot robots will avoid a 1 foot area around the base, and it likely got stuck in that area and couldn't get out. A solution would be to unplug the dock, and then move it.

My Roomba 805 has that same pattern as the e5, including running in circles when it’s on dirt detect mode.

Roomba is confused since dockingstation has a no go-zone around it as STV-PLS points out. And its too close to the wall so the wall + no go zone make it confused.

This robot vacuum looks like a good competition with the Deebot n79s (since it has app and Alexa functionality)
