The s9’s have a defect where the right side of the cleaning head module hangs down lower than the left side. That’s why it’s so loud on hardwood. Contact iRobot and they will ship you a replacement cleaning head module. Though my replacement module ended up doing it again after a while.
The s9’s D shape allows it to have a wider brush roll system, so it picks up a wider range of rice in a single pass. Did the second S9 also do that diagonal pass we saw that the first one did?
Have you kept them? If so are they holding up better then your first? Usually it's the roller assembly that causes these issues of noise and extreme wear
Could the stutter at the carpet edge be it sensing the change from floor to carpet and it’s adjusting? It seems to do it a lot. These do work better than yours from before. When I saw that I thought only the S7. Well, maybe not. It’s just too pricey and my apartment is too cluttered. I got a Roomba from Costco years ago. It kept diving under my couch and getting stuck. I eventually returned it. Later I got to review a Haier (pronounced High-er)and I hardly use it. It just bangs against the walls, it has no brain but it does suck up dirt. I bought the Shark Apex as my best vacuum and it does do a great job and destroys hair so it doesn’t wrap around the roller.
I recently got an s9+ and also noticed that the right side of the cleaning head module hung lower causing a lot of racket. I decided to open it up and take a look and found that the left side is supported by a hanging spring in an attempt to balance the entire cleaning head (Since there’s two heavy motors on the left side and nothing on the right). I took out the spring, stretched it just a little bit so that the cleaning head was even and the noise is mostly gone for me.
Have you done the same test there with the prosenic m7?. If not,,, could you do it so we can se the difference between the 1400,vs 1/3 of the price m7 pro

If you look on Nathan's video (robot masters) he was doing a while ago a big mess test 25lb bag of rice vs i7 and s9. i7 did most of the job perfectly, s9 had errors and that rice was blocking its station. And s9 had more problems. For example that brush module is on 1 side lower and on the other side higher. If I will have money, I will go for i7+. I think it is better. And i think i7 does not clean corner and along edges much worse than s9. + s9 looks like Neato with camera :D

With all the pallets he buys all the time (not to mention a lot of them he unfortunately looses money on) he is desperate for money, which is why he asks for subs often. Because people view his vids and enjoy his unboxing and demos but they don’t think about subscribing. These s9s are worth a hella lot of money if they’re fully working and with the clean base included. I’d fully understand it if he decides to sell both of them, it would be for the best.
I think personally I think I robots are overpriced, you look at the robo rocks and they absolutely crush a robots for like $200 less, The tech in robots have been in the robot since 2002, which is not entirely bad but I don't think the camera systems on the robot are all that good, lasers do give less information but the same time they're more accurate.
For the price, I don’t think there should be ANY debris. After spending that much, to have to go behind it to finish the job with a regular vacuum is unacceptable in my opinion!

I should do that with mine, cause I have an s9 and it does that same thing, where one of the sides is flexible.
Utan use an adjustable Moda and WAIT into swings and left corner I mean the white corner up and down using the power of physics

Noise is largely due to very high suction compared to other models. Additionally, the rollers are closer to the floor and make more noise than others.
We were thinking about buying a used roomba j7+ from Facebook market place what are your thoughts on this?

I think for many reasons I dislike the s9. price too high side brush sucks too many errors i the hipe is overdone on the s9 also very noisy an clunky

The S9 + is a piece of crap in my opinion. Gets stuck constantly and disregard the no vacuum zones. Buy a DeeBot!!! 10x better!!
