I just wish the police would finally wise up and give him some credit. Other detective stories usually have the cops wise up eventually. I really like these movies, though. I had never even heard of them before. Thanks for posting them!
Warren William was so great and his profile was made for movies. He and his wife never did the Hollywood parties etc. Maybe he would've had more work. "William died on September 24, 1948, from multiple myeloma, at age 53. His wife died a few months later." So young.
One year is quite a long time, especially when you are sick. But that is another matter. Right now do you have any other nice movie in your mind, which You think should not be missed.

Nice little film though there were better series around this time, Sherlock and Chan spring to mind, and some ropey acting by some of the suspects though not by Eric Blore who always gives good value.

The last few minutes are a bit frantic, but when the time was up they closed 'em down fast at Columbia./ This was good, recommended to all fans of the genre.// In this Case, William is very ably assisted by Eric Blore (who is hilarious as his butler in this third Lone Wolf film). Unlike the last of the Warren William Lone Wolf films (The Lone Wolf Strikes), this one has a very good plot and actually has some entertaining twists and turns. Plus, like the first of the series (The Lone Wolf Spy Hunt), the supporting actors in general are excellent. A very good example of the series.///
