I'm the son of a pilot as well and have flown on many different aircraft. My Dad flew the 737-200's. I've flown on the 741 and 2 along with the 400. There is NO aircraft that will ever match the lore and style that is the Queen. Thank you so much Big Jet for covering this story and the history of it.Making it come alive for those so far from there.

What a wonderfully entertaining show. Special thanks to Zane, Jason and VA for allowing Jerry access. there's a wicked sense of humour in Zane isn't there.:)

Captain Zane is so nice. I could listen to him talk about the Queen of the Sky all day. And it’s wonderful he got the honour to pilot the very last two Virgin 747’s to their final destination

Want a fantastic informative film there Jerry you delivered for us today. You did not require to be an expert either as your guides for the day explained absolutely everything so clearly. What I was amazed at was the number of safety features incorporated on the A350 jet but also in the huge jet engines
on display. Your guide Jason Wright, explained in layman's language all the technical side of what goes on in the Virgin Jet maintenance hangar so well
done to Jason. Thanks, Jerry, your show delivers a big jet experience for everyone at Londons Heathrow airport which is simply second to none mate!

I've been around alot of aircraft mainly military like transports (C5, C17's) at airshows and what not and always impressed by their size, but that 350 is huge. Not that a 747 isn't big, flew on a 74 back in the mid 70's. Just impressed by the glass cockpit of that Airbus. Awesome job as usual Jerry and Gilly. Thanks...

Brilliant video, the Queen is a legend like none other. The A350 is impressive no doubt also. That Captain is such a nice dude, he will be transferring to A350? Would be nice to interview him after he's had a year flying it to see what he thinks!

Why are they all being retired? Are they making new updates or is it due to the worldwide situation??

    • @dapto234

Four engine aircraft are too expensive to operate and also the new gen twin jets can do the same job better and more economically plus the. Urgent economic situation in the world is not helping either.

Nobody ever mentioned the crash or accident statistic of the 744. I saw the very first example in April 1989 in Los Angeles from Air China. Since today ( January 2022 ) it's travelling around the globe ( Lufthansa ). That means in 33 years of service there was only one fatal accident in 2000 in Taipeh when a Singapore Airlines 744 crashed on the runway into construction vehicles. One more incident was in the 90's in Hong Kong Kai Tak when an Air China dumped with it's nose into the harbour area with no dead folks among the passengers. If that is not sensationell i dont know.....

Still feel that anything else than the Boeing 747 along with the Airbus A340 & A380 for long haul flights over the Atlantic and Pacific is bit worrisome. New aircraft feel like they're fake.
