I just wanted to say thank you! I had forgotten about running a sale and hadn’t run one in a few months. I watched your video Saturday night and started my sale then. I typically sell about 3-5 items a day and so far in a day and a half, I’ve sold 15! I also really like your “turn and burn” motto! Thanks for all the great help/advice! Very much appreciated!
I finally did run a sale for a week with 15% discount. It worked! Went from hardly having any sales maybe 3 or 4 a week before and in just the week of the sale I made 14 sales.
Whoa . Thank you I put 100 items from my store on sale yesterday after watching your video. It is less than 24 hours and 3 sale items sold Going to go back now and put more on sale. Unfortunately some of my items are low priced so I can’t sell them on sale
Great advice! I'm a brand new eBay seller and I literally did exactly as you said, paused the video and followed the steps you outlined. All my listings were already promoted, but with way too high percentages, so I decreased the percentages to your recommended 2.5-3%. My sale starts this Friday (by then I'm hoping to be able to add more items - I have only 10 so far because it's a brand new store), so wish me luck, Casey! 😁
Why wait till friday? WHy not run one RIGHT NOW and end on Friday. Then start a new one on Friday-Monday. This isn't a mall where everyone sees and knows about it from TV.. new customers are seeing your store daily
Because by Friday I'll have maybe at least 20 items or 30, not just 10 like I have now? I want to announce my sale on FB but maybe that won't matter because most buyers don't come from FB, they come from eBay. What do I need to do to have my items show up in Google searches like everyone else's does?

Thank you very much for this idea. I have tried it for the last two weekends.. I wanted to share with you what happened this weekend with my sales. I put my entire store on sale this from Friday night to Monday night, so my sales ended September 2 at 11:30 PM Pacific standard time This morning , September 3. at 6:24am, PST, I had a sale but what was disappointing is that the buyer paid the sale price , which had already ended the day before. So I find out, oh well eBay has a glitch, which is neither the buyers fault nor is my fault. So now I just have to wait and see what will happen after the IT team investigates. I think EBAY has the problem and mistake, which they should fix and apply the lost revenue to me. Which I seriously doubt would ever happen. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what was the outcome.
Talked to an Ebay rep this morning. Here is the problem, which I will never do again. I have over 1100 items listed on Mercari and a bulk load of unlisted items.
The problem with sales events is people want to keep pushing the issue of a discount. Like i always say, dont push it! Example, i did 50% off sales. The nerve of some people. After 1/2 a day off this i turned off all OFFERS on 426 discounted items. The sales slowed but they kept coming in slowly. Did i make a mistake? How do you handle leaving OFFERS ON while an a item is already 20 - 50% discounted? Ebay keeps sending me offers even though i have OFFERS OFF! WHY? If i dont respond to the 18 items sitting out there then Ebay will consider this as if i am not paying attention and may limit my sales. Right? But if i do respond im being forced to send offers on 50% discount items. How do i handle this?
@@RockstarFlipper ah, I do see it now. A lot of items that show mark downs don’t show it. I guess that could be a difference in the types of sales🤷♂️ Thanks for the info.
Could you touch on extra EBay fees added that unexpectedly can be charged if NOT selected in Selling Preferences or surprise rules. I was just charged a small International fee to a buyer within the same state I live in?! Because they originally opened their EBay account in a foreign country and moved to the states years ago and now have a domestic address. Because of their primary address on their account still has that foreign address as primary, seller gets charged a fee not buyer! eBay just added an additional fee of 5% for a month to all my Clothes inventory sales. Apparently if you have an increase in “IND” returns they can add this financial hardship for an extended period of time! Something buyers know they can use and sellers know we can’t fight when they select wanting a return. I don’t fight the return and just give label because you really can’t win. Well, that so called good seller tactic is now costing me more! Now I lose an additional 5% final value on top of the 12.5%! A whole month!!! It’s a Catch 22 situation for sellers!
Its been that way for years if you get a HIGH "INAD" rate you get higher fees. Ive sold clothing for years and never came close to a high INAD rate even with some BS returns. It means you're not doing something right sorry...

If i dont respond to the 18 items sitting out there then Ebay will consider this as if i am not paying attention and may limit my sales. Right? But if i do respond im being forced to send offers on 50% discount items. How do i handle this?
"Increase your sales by cutting into your profit"....genius
Who said that?

@@magyarvandor977 ahhh someone who can’t listen and understand. Gotchya
Does the buyer actually see the length of your promotion or sales?
yes it will say on the lsiting
@@TheCatD really?! I’ve looked on multiple “on sale” items on eBay and can’t seem to find the ending date of sales, where on the listing is it?
It says right on the item near the price "ending in 12 hours" etc
It means you're not doing something right sorry...
if your profit margin is low you can't do this you will lose
@@seifeddinebenazouz then buy better items. Or at better prices. Stop trying to make $3
Thank you for the tips!!!
Anytime!
I did all 3 steps and still no sales. I’m on day 8 😢. Maybe it’s going take my store a little bit more time than everyone else.
Great video! Thank you!
