That croc skull is a beauty. I love the small ammonites that settled into the eye sockets. I hope that turns out to be one of many "finds of a lifetime" for you
Recently i managed to find my first ammonite here in denmark. It was a few weeks ago and found in chalk and a small one but this is still very special as they are unfortunately rather rare here. I spent more than 15 years to find one, finally! Didn't even have to split the rock, nature did it for me :)
Congratulations! I live in Dk too, and often hunt for fossils and have never found an ammonite, although I do have one from the Jurassic coast of England. Where in Denmark did you find it? Also, this video is just phenomenal, that skull is as precious as a work of art.
Oh my that is just a stunning piece! Mark did a phenomenal job on it! Its fantastic! And the fact that it is so intact and even has the other fossils in the eye holes is just amazing! Congratulations on that find for sure!
Kind Thanks for sharing this amazing find and your great joy in finding it! All one can say is WOW! Here is to you finding more Lovely fossils and I’ll be watching. Many Blessings and Many Beautiful Fossils! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Awesome!!! Possibility of finding the remaining snout? That would be awesomeness to the nth power!!! It's should be close to where you found the skull.
Wow you always find some nice fossils. The fossil that you have showed in the end from the crocodile is so beautiful and special ❤. I never expected a crocodile fossil.
@@ForgottenFossils aye - and not from the initial shots all *that * promisingly looking too . Big beasts those crocs ! I always think , if it is there , I might find it - and if it isn’t , then , if I’m looking in the right places , it will be there one day . All that looking we gotta find something brill one day . Pretty great the hit when it happens 🍿! Am convinced I’ll find a complete plesiosaur just about any day now 😂😀
The croc skull is a dream come true🐊. I hope u keep it for ur personal collection. Also loved❤️the big Bellamite cone & the little ammonite on its own natural built in rock stand.Wanna see it after prep. Exciting! TY Liam !
I have no words ! This is super cool ! A crocodile skull, incredible Liam! I first thought to a marine reptile huge Bone block or even a marine reptile skull but none of both, it's even better ! Just Bravo Liam ! And like we can say in French, Félicitations pour cette merveille Liam! Mark a fait une préparation Incroyable !
What an Amazing find my friend!! I am a little bit jealous of your incredible luck, and that you have a prepper with such great skills ✌🏼😎 Best regards from eastern Oregon 🇺🇸♥️
That amazing skull embedded with a vast set of other fossils is a trophy for those of us who hace been hunting since 1966. I actually found 3 incomplete ones in a river bed shale that I still cherish nowadays. Hope I will be able to contact you on your channel soon.
Wow...what a beautiful find😍 I hope i can also find fossils on vacation... I am driving 2 weeks in August from dover to St. Just in Penwith Best regards from Germany 😊✌🏻
Well done Liam an amazing find. A superb skull. Thankyou for sharing this great find and so well spotted. I doubt I'd have noticed it on the beach. The big question is if that nodule was in the proximity of a recent cliff fall then there could be the rest of it coming out in due course.
Brilliant. Live in Bristol. Hunted Lyme Regis Region Coast. Kilve near Minhead, ( rocks extremely hard to split. One date you can find very large ammonites about a meter across in large boulders. Plus smaller 250mm in large pebbles. Making them extremely hard to get off the beach. Also its a private beach .So no idea if it's OK to take fossils. Last time I visited. Found a large boulder and 2 of us rescued it. Still in 1 piece. Although I have quite a few biggish bits and bobs. But difficult to find full ones in a boulder and when cracked you usually find several all, layered on top of one another .
Stunning find and prep on the skull!! Spent a few hours down Port today but only found a couple of ammonites.. Which side would you say gives best results? The left near the huts always seems fairly bare.
Thank you. I find more common ammonites (dacs) to the left past the huts) But I only search port once in a while. After cliff falls people get buckets full to the right.
Amazing fossil, but just curious.. what's your success rate on cracking open nodules? It seems to me that from the way you knock that hammer, you're damaging more than you're actually taking home to prepare.
That’s probably true. But if i didnt hammer nodules first id be carrying alot of poorly preserved ones home. If it’s something well worth saving i wont hammer at all. I dont mind cracking common dacs.

It looks incredible :)

It was not near a recent cliff fall. Washed in with other rocks from elsewhere.

It’s obviously a fossil in the ‘best ever’ nodule, so I’m going to guess that it’s a safe-seat tory MP.
Thank for making amazing videos 😊
My pleasure 😊

You find marvellous fossils on Dorsets Jurassic Coast
Hi I collect at Yorkshire not Dorset :)
@@ForgottenFossils I know, but I was just saying for the benefit of any viewers

Which part of the Yorkshire coast is best for fossils?
Whitby, but I am biased.
wow great find well done you
Thanks 👍

Yes!!
Fudgepuckers with clubs😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Where would be better to go Skinningrove or Saltburn?
I've never been to either. I did go to redcar beach twice though.
@@ForgottenFossils did you have any luck at redcar? I live in Middlesbrough and really want to start hunting but close to home as I don't drive
Bro is working from 5 years i kindof like his contain even i wished to do that when i was young but in India it is not possible😔
6 Years fossil hunting
Yupp😅
Is it 'preperation' or 'preparation?'
From the verb 'prepare' so the latter.
Young Darwin
Great find
Can we see your biggest ammonite and your favourite ammonite?
Yes i certainly can show it.
PREPARATION....😁
What it the scientific name??
Excellent…. 😊
Thanks a lot 😊
are you sure thats a crocodile? im no expert but it seems a little snub nosed to me.
Yep
It's called a Plagiophthalmosuchus. The scientific name.
Most enjoyable Vid. Well done!
