Plannies ...........Jeep Destroy crash test.

  • We had used this Jeep over the years to build MX and MTB trails, pulling logs, moving equipment etc. In that time it had performed admirably, BUT! Rust, electrical and mechanical problems and the rear door being ripped off (accident with a tree meant that it failed its MOT (Ministry Of Transport test for car safety). Cost of repairs far exceeded that of another decent one .
    So ! we decided to give it the send of it deserved at the Plannies
    I see a lot of angry posts a long the lines of "why would they wreck a perfectly good Jeep !! I would have fixed it, retards !!!"..... The thing was "FUCKED !!!!!!", it was so rotten underneath you could have pedaled along with your feet. Also keep in mind this is the UK, the value of a second hand Jeep is as little as $300.

    As much as it hurts to see that Cherokee punished, this was honestly pretty impressive. That thing took an incredible amount of abuse.

      Only old ones you can only go a few years past the new millennium before it no longer applies and yet anyone with a modern gladiator will think “JEEP 4 LIFE” Meanwhile said gladiator will never last as long as an old XJ or take nearly as much punishment

      Xjuan Cherokee If you want to get technical Station Wagon would be the correct term. Love XJ's regardless Ive owned quite a few over the years 84 with a 2.8 v6 87 cherokee chief with the renault turbo diesel under the hood, 1 Renix straight 6, 1 2.5 iron duke four banger, and 2 4l H.O. straight sixs. Great vehicles they just rust really bad here in ohio and my current one just rusted through the frame driver side behind the trans crossmember.

    Jeep Cherokees are common in the UK? I'd heard that's sort of an extravagant vehicle to own there because they use so much more gas (petrol) than those little economy things you see everyone in.

    • @cpufreak101
      @cpufreak101 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, the XJ sold globally, albeit in Europe the more common engine was a 4 cylinder Fiat diesel.

    The government killed thousands of these jeeps that were running perfectly well just to replace them with newer inferior ones. Imagine how awesome they could have made cash for clunkers with a demolition subsidy program.

    • @silasmcgee3647
      @silasmcgee3647 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cash for clunkers was retarded in the first place as much as I enjoyed watching it when I was in elementary and I learned a lot about cars with terms like blowing a rod Or what the rod was in the first place or the pistons or piston rings or crack in the block

    • @silasmcgee3647
      @silasmcgee3647 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That doesn’t change the fact that it ruined millions of perfectly good older vehicles that could run hundreds of thousands more miles anything from old jeeps solid built old F150s perfectly mint Toyotas and innocent mid grade BMWs

    Okay, this is just a strange coincidence. Went through my old favorites list earlier today, watched this. Then just now went to my music folder, selected everything, and hit 'Play All'. Machine Head's Message in a Bottle was the first song out of 4,400 that began playing. I didn't even know I had this song, nor did I know it was the Machine Head cover you had in the video.
