Measurements in the speargun industry differ by manufacturer. I include two measurements for my spearguns, the length overall in inches and the band stretch in centimeters. This allows people to compare and contrast lengths but it certainly isn't standardized. Many speargun builders (pipe guns) measure the length of the carbon or aluminum tube and list that as the length.
