    Wow, no wonder the process is draining, where I'm from we take 7 subjects in our last year in high school, honors or pass, each subject has a points level attached so it's an overall points system, we then submit our first choice of university and course, second choice and third choice, each university issues the points needed for each subject they offer, you get enough points you get in, you don't then you go to your second or third choice of university, very very simple process, no interviews, no essay submitting, no extra credits etc.

      In Germany the average of all your grades gets you in or not. There is nothing else you have to do. In Australia I had to write an essay and create a portfolio but it was by far not as difficult as the American process.

    Hello Louise! Congratulations on your academics and extracurriculars! You did a great job with your studies. I really enjoyed watching your video because you have great content! This video helps a lot because it taught me to have a great passion of what I love. I do know that the experiences and passion what we love is more important than the grades. You are correct! Thank you for sharing this video with me! Good luck with your dream school. Again, you did a great with your academics and your extracurriculars. Not only that, you also did a great job with the video. That’s very impressive! It is a great advice to give many students as well! And again, good luck with your dream school! God bless you and your family. 🙏❤️

    Congrats! Could you perhaps consider making a video on your UPenn Wharton supplementals? Finding UPenn supplementals compared to other colleges' supplementals for this year's admission cycle is quite challenging lmao.

    Congrats! I love your video so much! I am a senior, and I am getting prepared for the application! I have a question. In the common app honor section, I thought only academic awards could go in. But is it okay to write awards not related to academic? My counselor suggested writing only academic honors, but I see you, an Ivy student, writing a dance award in the honor section, so I am confused.

    I have no idea how you could do it all in few years
    My school never had such amount of clubs and anything, there was no president; just a few clubs that the school organized
    Do colleges consider that factor? I watched plenty of videos, someone says they consider your background, not just compare your achievements with other students', it it true?

    Was wondering which was your top choice even if the ones you weren't accepted to .... I notice by far Stanford is the most popular among us girls and by far the most selective

    • @LouiseWang

      My dream school had always been Wharton UPenn for the past two years. Stanford is a great school, but after my interview with them, I realized it wouldn’t be a great fit for me to attend either even if I had gotten in. When I opened my Stanford decision, I had no hesitation at all since I knew I’d still choose Wharton if I’d gotten in. Hope this helps :)

    I founded my school’s Harry Potter club as a freshman (I’m a sophomore now) and I was wondering how you advertised your club? I’m really passionate about it but I can’t seem to get that many new members. I want to make an impact but I’m worried people think joining HP club is social suicide, so I want to make it appealing to a wider demographic, any tips?

  • @nicole-qh4qe

    I have a question: I'm currently a rising junior, and last year (sophomore year), I co-founded my schools geography club because I am genuinely interested in that and I want more students (and Americans in general) to have more geographic knowledge of the rest of the world. I am also co-founding my school's Linguistics Olympiad Club (junior year) because I'm also interested in languages and I want more students to have access to the competition. A motive for founding both clubs WAS college apps but it wasn't the only motive and I do genuinely enjoy both. However, would founding 2 clubs look strange to colleges as if I just wanted more leadership roles? I also have leadership roles in SGA and NHS which were (of course) not founded by me, if that helps. I would really appreciate your feedback, like should I even go through with the new club I'm trying to found? Thanks!!

    • @savid.5413
      @savid.5413 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey! I’m a rising senior, and not the person your question was for, but I have advice for you. You should definitely continue to found the club since you have a genuine interest in it, assuming that you have enough time to dedicate to it and that it makes sense in the overall context of your application. (If you want to do electrical engineering for example, you may have to work harder to explain why you chose to do this club).
      Also, since you have an interest in geography, I suggest looking into geospatial intelligence. It is an interesting and uncommon field for students to study that may make you stand out. It also has an extremely large focus on geography.
      Hope this helps!

    • @LouiseWang
      @LouiseWang  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! I believe you should go through with the new club since you seem like you're actually interested in languages and you have a good reason as to why you wanted to start it. If you believe you can impact the club/school in a way with that club, I don't think colleges will think it looks strange. Like for me, I cofounded a club my freshman year, founded a club junior year, and still held leadership roles in other clubs. Colleges won't think badly about it as long as you can express the role you play in those clubs, and you're able to describe the stuff you were able to do for your community (such as any big changes).

    • @MasterlyRex8789

      It just means your school and her school weights differently. I’ve seen some schools have honors and AP being weighted the same 5.0 (This is what I’m assuming most of the 4.8-4.9 gpas comes from) while others make it borderline impossible to get above a 4.5. Most common should be AP =5.0 and honors =4.5 while unweighted is 4.0.
