Regarding Tank Vladimir, maybe try this: (my recent S14 ARAM tank build for Vladimir) Runes: Grasp o.t. Undying > Font of Life > Second Wind > Overgrowth > Taste of Blood > Ingenious Hunter Core Build: Heartsteel + Warmogs + Boots (of your choice; recommend MR + tenacity) Hybrid Items: Riftmaker + Rabadon's Full Tank Items: Unending Despair + Hollow Radiance Situational Items / Finisher: Abyssal Mask; Sundered Sky; Kaenic Rookern The Hybrid Build is an ultra late game build. Once completed it will have the most HP (due to the increased synergy in the build) and AP (easily over 500+). While the Hybrid build looks all great on paper, I still feel the Full Tank build is more solid and feels overall much stronger. The additional armor and mr are great with the insane high HP of the build and we add more item dmg sources which scale with our max/bonus HP. Together with W & E this adds to 6 sources of dmg that scale with our max/bonus HP (Heartsteel, Grasp, Unending Despair, Hollow Radiance). When this build reaches late game (boots + 4 items) it will melt most enemy teams by itself. Ingenious Hunter affects all item CDs which is really great. Be it for building up more stacks for Hearthsteel (and I believe the 3sec charge up time gets affected too, but not 100% sure on this), get more frequent heals from Unending Despair, Warmogs heal kicks in faster, Sundered Sky, Kaenic Rookern.. It's really broken for this build.
I have a problem playing Vlad but its very mechanical, to me at least. I find it insanely crazy (while using F for flash D for ghost) to do combos like E flash Q. It’s the E and flashing that my fingers struggle to get around. It messes me up while trying to outplay or punish opponents. Late game it’s abit less important but if I can use that advantage early game to become a mid game raid boss I sometimes have to just look at it and say, damn. I’m not a vlad main but I have recently become a big vlad enjoyer. Good work and thank you for the video.
@@leosampaio668 Definitely do what works for you but objectively holding E is the quickest way to do it so you might as well put your time into learning it the right way immediately :)

You only have one ability that gets empowered, your Q. It's simple, When you Q a minion, champion or jungle monster you will gain 1 Q stack. If you Q again for a second time, you will get up to 2 stacks. Once you have 2 stacks you'll get an empowered Q (but only for a slight time so you need to hurry to use it)
Thanks for the guide! :) I've been wanting to play Vlad for a while but it feels really strange to pick him up (to me at least). I'll give it another attempt though!
Vlad can be a hard champ to master and even pick up because he's so gold reliant which makes him stand out from all other champions but he's turbo fun so definitely give him another try! I hope my guide can inspire you :).
Only thing that im missing out are situational items. Like even if those full builds are overall good im pretty sure you could go for some situational variations, sadly im verry unconfident at variating by myself so that had helped me a lot. But overall this is an insane guide, thanks for you huge work.
Thank you for your comment and your feedback, let me help you out :). Vladimir's situational items: 1. Zhonyas --> go this when you get a lot out of the active (i.e when enemy has khartus jungle & zed mid) --> you could also go this if enemy has a lot of AD damage in general 2. Banshee's Veil --> go this when enemy team has a lot of AP damage (shield is useful but not main reason to go this iterm). In general this is your MR item to go as not only does it give you MR but also a lot of DMG which is very important! 3. Spirit Visage --> when you both need MR and you have a lot of healing in your team (I rarely go this, but sometimes I do go it when for example enemy team has 3 AP champs and I have a soraka, Ivern, Karma, ... in my team). Big downside of this item is that it gives you 0 damage (your passive is irrelevant). 4. Cryptbloom --> I've become a big fan of this item, the amount of stats this item gives you is insane (super gold efficient so I build this almost always now instead of void staff unless enemy team has a lot of MR, than I'll go for void staff). 5. Rocketbelt --> U absolutely need this when the enemy team has a lot of ranged champions for example (xerath mid, kindred jungle, ezreal adc, brand support) 6. Morellonomicon Against enemies who can heal a lot (aatrox, sylas, ....). This used to be bad on Vlad but nowadays it's so cheap that it's actually pretty good. 7. Tank items like frozen heart, abyssal mask, ... --> I don't like these item to be honest, they make vlad feel kinda useless in late and they require you to have a lead, which sucks when you play an ultrascaling champ. (However they are viable but I personally don't recommend going tank items, especially not in low elo). Hope this helps you out a bit :).

In toplane it's often hard to avoid fighting and even if you can, often it's even your best option to fight early on so that you can contest early wave prio so that they don't just shove the wave under your turret, let it bounce and then freeze on their side of the lane. So that's why I like to go aery scorch or conqueror with ghost ignite and prioritzing mobility and ability haste early on (ionian boots and cosmic drive). However, in matchups where you can easily get run down and where at some point you basically can't beat your opponent in the isolated 1v1 you can also consider going phase rush, think of matchups like nasus, rumble, tryndamere.
If I focus on farming, I don't do any damage and don't participate in a lot of fighting. In fighting I am usually not performing well, cuz no items. I can't seem to balance these 2 things for shit. I can't even get 8cs per minute. Cuz if I farm only, the lane is unplayable. If I play for prio, I suffer on last hitting. Which is counter-intuitive, because I play for prio to get myself into position for fighting, which I don't have the money for items for. It's so easy to be bad at this champion.
Well what you mention here is indeed the hardest thing to do on Vladimir but people typically struggle at this due to lack of fundamentals. In order for me to help you out I would have to take a look at your gameplay. If that's something you want, feel free to book me as your coach and I'll be able to solve your problems :).
How do you deal with control mages who builds arch angel? With my experience, champs like hwei and orianna that plays arch angel rush are quite tanky to deal with and the one shot build doesnt do enough damage against them. Would u buy proto/one shot in that case? Or just full scaling with the standard build?
Why is he going frozen heart if he doesn't get any mana from it? Does that make any sense at all? 2500g is pretty cheap, but that seems non-sensical to me
Depends on the situation, early in the lane you don't want to fully charge E if you're also tanking minions at the same time or when you're already low hp. If you're still healthy you can use a fully charged E on the wave for contesting wave prio or on your opponent for a nice fully charged E + red Q combo. During the second part of this guide (the second video), this will become more clear :)
