- The RX is redesigned and Lexus raised the bar with the 500h F Sport Performance for 2023. On the outside you will discover a new spindle body design, 21in wheels, and unique color. On the inside there is a 14in infotainment system, leather sport seating and panoramic sunroof. Under the hood is a 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 paired with (2) electric motors to produce 366HP & mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. I have had my 500h since end of Feb and zero regrets. Note you can program button on steering wheel to change drive modes and stupidly not a default. I have the caviar with red interior, mud flaps option, and optional wheels that look more like tuning forks. Love it.
How much mpg are you averaging?

Great review Joe as usual. You are the King of reviewers. Just bought one of these in black as I was struggling to get in and out of my LC 500. It really is a great car. Pity they are so expensive in UK. We pay in pounds what you guys pay in dollars.
Toyota/Lexus has been adding hybrids across their line. They are getting serious flak from some of the press about how slowly they are adding pure EV, but I expect they will have the best year in their history in 2024, as their products are well made, and serve the customer well. Not everyone is set up to charge an EV, and long distance travel is not as convenient in an EV. So this product should sell well. We are so early in the EV transition that the price of energy is not posted visibly outside charging stations, and here in CA, where energy prices are fairly high (night time charging is 19 cents/Kwhr), some of the charging stations charge 45 cents/Kwhr, which is a ripoff.
Who told you that?! With the EV'S they can go up to 350-600 miles on a single charge depending on what battery capacity you buy
@@HOVA2195Only with a Hummer EV maybe. All the rest are 200-300s mile range.
What Lexus needs are more plugin hybrids. That’s the sweet spot currently until the charging network is built out.
Hybrids are much more convenient. Fill up gas once in a while and drive forever before needing to fill up again. 😂
Charging is a pita. Filling gas takes a couple minutes and takes forever to run out.

Went to buy one at our local Lexus dealer. He slid a paper with a $15k market adjustment at the end of signing the paperwork. ZONK! We walked and bought a 2023 Acura Type-S. Agree with the need for exhaust tips .

Hi joe, I remember I watch one of your video about this Lexus Rx 500h f sport in white color when it first came out, you was mentioned that the back seat’s middle arm rest was not that solf enough and I still remember that until now I see you review in this nice performance again, great review joe 👏👍

My wife chose and today ordered this exact vehicle. Copper Crest 2024 RX500 F-Sport, Loaded. She’s not at all aggressive in driving, but this model just did it for her in style and driving dynamics with real wheel turning angle boost, the Hybrid Max set gitty- up. She is a Luxury hybrid vehicle driver, and this model has that….and a sporty edge for surprise. Lexus did a nice job blending Luxury, Performance, and a Quality product in one nice package.
This car looks amazing it’s so cool! I like the outside it’s magnificent!

Super excellent machine. I had 2021 GX460 which was heavy on gas so last sept after test drive this RX500h , i just love this. Its performance with power and luxury. Excellent gas mileage and very smooth shifting. Its a big difference from a CVT transmission to this 6 speed. Again its better than my brothers Mercedes. I have taken down lots of v8 on traffic lights. Highly recommend this RX500h.

I LOVE Lexus RX, almost everything about it! One thing they can improve on is the tire width, 235 is too narrow for the SUV this size. I'd at least expect 245, but would like 255-265s. Look at your competition. BMW and Mercedes have nice and wide tires that adds so much to their look.

I love this suv it would definitely be my choice I drove one and it felt more like I was driving a car than an suv I’d want a different color but I don’t hate it in the color it was shown in but I used to be a Mercedes Benz man and since then I’ve had a few Lexus that I’ve loved so much better … I now think I’d rather have a Lexus than a Benz I definitely think Lexus knows what they’re doing with hybrids Great video great photography and camera works thank you both so much Ratitis rides is the best in this business keep up the great works you’ll be to 2 million before you know it

Joe this RX500h is at the top of my list for my next vehicle and you did a fantastic job showcasing it today. The only thing you did not confirm was whether there is an actual spare tire under that rear trunk floor!
Also, Lexus has been hiding their exhaust pipes as we move forward to a hybrid/electric future so that these cars will blend more seamlessly.

When I spec out the RX 500 H online it doesn’t give me the option to choose both the Mark lemons and 21 speaker set up with the 14 inch infotainment screen. I have to pick one and the other can’t get added.

Looks like a real winner. Especially if it's your only car. It certainly does a lot well.But we have 3 cars in our home fleet. $75k is too much, unless it was my only driver. Then I'd get it yesterday. But man, it's a beauty!

this one accelerate so fast and you can feel your back against the car seat. The power steering is so light and easy to make a U turn. Everything is amazing. No complain about the non V6 engine for this new generation

Thin and wide exhaust tips would have done the back-end justice. All vents should be functional. Not sure about the front grille, although you CAN tell it is a Lexus.

I'm on my 3rd Lexus, first RX 450H- I've had ZERO issues with (any) of my cars. Love Lexus, and I'd say this is the better option over the Genesis.

Joe, great video as always. What was your opinion on the RX 500h acceleration as well as general performance when comparing it to the all new Acura MDX Type S? Both the F sport and Type S have some serious pros and cons regarding their price and performance but with nearly $5/gal gas, the F sport looks quite appealing. Please respond as I’d really appreciate your thoughts. Thanks brother.

75K? No way. 46.2 cu ft of cargo space is nothing for a mid size SUV. Those are sub compact numbers. Tires should be 255's for a vehicle this size and weight. BMW X5 for me!

Nice behind the wheel time on the review. Seems much improved over '23. Lexus is the only brand I would trust with a new model that complex. I'll ask to have one todrive one when I take the wife's car in for service. Too bad it won't be a 500h loaner though.

The excessive brake nose dive made me a bit nauseous, but the almost too oversized dead pedal is a welcomed surprise. The long name deceives it’s true performance capabilities, nonetheless, the RX is still the original gangster.

Mid-70k usd for 4cyl with 2 electric motors??? Yeah, no thanks... Not my cup of tea... No matter how they call it, Lexus is not a performance type of brand (with exception of F models and LFA). Looking at this price point, I would rather go for 2023 BMW X5 Xdrive40i which has around 375 german ponnies (in reality it is low 400whp)...

It's kind of a moot point, neither the RX 500h or GV80 are real performance SUVs. I'll take the GV80 due to the V6 and exterior. Though both look great. The RX has to be selling like hotcakes, it's everywhere on the roads now.

I love mine.. had for 10 months. super quiet, drives super nice, slick... its like driving a stick of butter down the road. stereo CRANKS... blows you away. I dont care about the sport aspect, its quick, and I leave in eco all the time.
