We feel really sorry for you and for the owner, even more that it was a F430 manual shift which remains the best Ferrari experience. Good you both got out in time and are safe. Take care and we hope the owner will find a good other one as this rarely happens (even if the older version of the fuel pumps do have a weakness).

Thanks for your kind words. I am just happy that nobody was hurt. I'm sure he will replace it with something special eventually :-)

Thanks for sharing! After the 348, F355 and 360, the F430 is the last REALLY astonishing looking Ferrari. It's a shame that it burnt down just after relaunching your channel. Looking forward new stuff.

I had a similar experience (minus the fire). I was driving a 2011 Aston Martin Rapide that I had rented in Houston to test it out. At the end of my rental period, I was cruising on the highway only to hear a bang, black smoke coming out of the tailpipes, warning lights of all sort...I tried to pull over but it took another 1-2 miles before I could. By the time I was on a service road, the car shutdown completely. I was completely shocked. There was a leak coming from the bottom of the car, so guessing there was low oil and the car overheated and the engine just died. It's equally sad, although that car was fairly beat up with 65K miles on it. I was later told there was a hole in the engine block. Sad!

Hi, really sorry about that. I’ve got the same car but F1 version. Have you discovered why the car caught fire?
