Your video automatically played for some reason. I've traveled to Bali for an extended period of time about a year+ ago, and as someone who has been to many countries across the world, Bali was definitely an amazing and therapeutic experience. I would suggest booking an Airbnb Experience for a tour guide/photo pro. That's what we did and the experience was top-notch. I felt like I hired a professional videographer who went above and beyond to take photos and videos the entire time. We never felt like we had to beg/ask. I also think it depends on who you get. I would double-check and confirm that they are OK with taking photos etc. I hope you'll have a better experience with your tours in your future travels.
I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. It is unfortunate because Bali has so much to offer. I hope you'll give Bali a second chance, people are wonderful and with a great tour guide , you'll have a great time exploring Bali, and it is so easy to connect with other travelers there. I went to Bali 4 times and had a great time each time, and planning on going back soon. Safe travels.
I traveled to Bali solo and the majority of tour guides/tours didn't want to do a tour for one person. Asking me to invite folks or charging single supplement and more for gas. I found a woman tour guide who I hired for the day to take me around. Fresco food was delicious but once it rains it pours and sorry it was an off day. 🤣😂🤣Cigar bar with no cigars. Chile, I couldn't even deal with the ferry and going to Gili T with the coordination. Met some folks who said yeah do it another time cause it's a hassle. My inn owner says I could leave my bags and go but I wasn't feeling it. I'll do at another time. Bali/Ubud is rural and dirt roads, like Mayberry. Traffic is a beast! Took me 2hrs to get to the airport. I did enjoy the locals and how I felt a part of the community seeing them daily. But baaaby, them darn monkeys drove me crazy🙊 🤣😂. Bootleg snarkling 😩awww Lawd!! I wouldn't travel from USA just to go to Bali. Definitely would couple with another country/city. Too far to travel just for Bali. Thanks for sharing YOUR experience because I rarely hear anyone talking about the challenges in Bali. It's the swings, beach clubs, and flower baths and resorts. Appreciate in the moment emotion! You hung in there and handled it well. The photo are annoying if you're not interested and it happened while we were talking!!
Haha, I saw your shorts on the monkeys in Ubud! Luckily I had not issues with them while I was there. I agree, the traffics is a beast in Ubud! But our experiences with the tours are similar! I never had so much difficulty or just a lackluster experience on tours before in my life! As solo travelers, this is what most of us look forward to. The experience on the ferry to and from Gili T was CHAOTIC and overall NIGHTMARE! You made the right decision on excluding from your Indonesia trip. Everyone wants to keep showing the bubble baths and private pools, villas. You don’t need to go to Bali to get that. I came for the cultural experience and thankfully I did get that in Ubud. But it was horrible everywhere else when I left Ubud! Thanks for watching!
@@tashajourneys The 🛀🏽 bubble baths 🤣😂🤣😂!! I love learning the history and cultural experiences. It's disappointing how they treat solo travelers and I understand it's about profits but it's exclusionary.
Bali is a very positive, peaceful, and spiritual place! 🧘🏾♂️🕉💫 FYI... You attract the energy that you put out, and your experiences reflect that! Your whole energy, aura, and vibe in very negative, SMH!!! 🚫❌🙅🏾♂️ #ItIsYOU
A lot of foreigners like to engage with black people in other countries out of curiosity and wanting to befriend. I think maybe you don't understand that, which is strange seeing how you travel solo so much. It's quite sad actually your reaction and commentary on the situation. I lived in Okinawa, Japan for 6 years and people wanted to take pics with me all the time, which I did. I can understand a bad day, but your demeanour seems ill placed.
It’s quite sad that you lack comprehension skills in my explanation of what happened AND comparing it to all of my travel experiences. If I tell a person I don’t want to be filmed or take pictures in a friendly they need to respect that and not do it anyway.
While it’s true that some foreigners might engage with people from different backgrounds out of curiosity, that doesn’t mean everyone interprets such interactions the same way. Solo travelers, like myself, often encounter situations where attention can feel intrusive or uncomfortable, regardless of intent. Your positive experiences are valid, but they don’t negate the fact that not everyone feels the same way in similar circumstances. We should acknowledge that people’s boundaries, comfort levels, and reactions vary-especially in unfamiliar environments. It’s not about misunderstanding the situation or having a “bad day,” but rather recognizing that interactions, even when seemingly friendly, can sometimes feel overwhelming or objectifying. Just because someone reacts differently doesn’t mean their feelings are invalid. What might be a harmless curiosity to some could feel like unwanted attention to others. It’s important to respect different perspectives and reactions to such encounters without labeling them as “sad” or “ill-placed.”
She had a horrible experience. Damn, sorry to hear that. I went to Indonesia back in 2013 and I had a wonderful experience. I went with a group and had a great tour guide. I went through Real Gap Experience, they were excellent!
Hey Ms. King! Haha I know you would have!! I did and I am just glad to have left. It was just too much! The first part of Bali I went to was nice and I had a great experience…downhill from there. Thanks for watching!
I wanted to meet people within the tour groups. Some people were randomly taking pictures of me without my permission and when I caught them they asked and I declined…they still decided to snap pictures anyway.
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about your experience in Bali. My first tour guide in Bali was great. Thank you Amansuka for a great time! I wish I chose him for all the tours. My second tour guide sounds like yours. I generally found that the people in Bali were gentle and kind, it was the people from outside of Bali that were annoying. They had paler skin and were probably from China or Korea. Next time they want pictures I'm going to start charging.
Your experience was unfortunate. I had an AMAZING time in Bali. I had no problem meeting the nicest people. My private driver gave me great tours and stayed with me and took pics. There were times he dropped me off and waited at the gate, but he explained to me which ones he could go into without paying an extra fee or not. I met some good people that I just chill and vibe with - people from USA, Canada, Australia, and some other European countries. I had such a magical time , U have been dreaming of the day I will go back. When I went I went with a friend. She couldn’t stay as long as I wanted to stay, so we agreed that she would leave when she had to and I would stay on my own. I stayed a week Sanur with my friend, and a week in my own in Bali. Now I have a whole family: husband and 3 kids. When I go back I wonder how my experience will be with everyone with me 🤔😂. I hope your travel experience gets better. I feel for you.
Thank you for watching and realizing that everyone has their own experiences when traveling to various destinations! Ubud was amazing and all the other locations I visited outside of Ubud were dreadful. Despite, me stating in the video that I have been in Asia for several months and any comparison I make is related to other countries I have visited in Asia…people are knocking me for MY EXPERIENCE! I went with the best intentions and it still wasn’t a fit for me.
Thank you for watching. I loved Ubud and had a great time Come To Ubud, Bali To Find Peace And Learn About Bali Hinduism! th-cam.com/video/PcKu_bnCJEM/w-d-xo.html Outside of Ubud, I just could not find my stride.
Thanks for watching! You may have a different experience. I just don’t think it’s worth it to fly alllll the way from the USA to see. I have a part one to this as well. If you go…really know WHY you’re going because it’s expensive and a long flight…but very inexpensive once you get there.
Maybe he didn't understand what you were saying. It helps not to speak so fast that your words all run together. I'm an English speaker, and at some parts, I have a bit of problem understanding some of what you're saying. Watch the pace and enunciate. I also dislike when anyone takes my photograph without my knowledge or consent. If told "no" and they continue, then that's disrespect.

It wasn't Bali sis...it was you.
The call was coming from inside the house.
Very negative energy and misleading video.
Thank you for your valuable feedback!

😂🤣 thanks for watching and sharing your perspective on my experience in Bali.
She sound miserable with negative attitude...you had a horrible tjme because you sound so unfriendly.

You went to Bali with the wrong attitude smh
You watched the video with the wrong attitude. Be blessed.
I absolutely ENJOYED BALI!!❤ Will definitely be going backkkkkk!❤💃🥰♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Glad to hear
That's crazy you expected that man to be your personal photographer when you only paid him to be your tour guide
That’s crazy that you lack full comprehension skills! Thanks for watching anyways! Be blessed❤️

Both you guys are right, but privacy trumps curiosity.

Hey Tasha👋🏽 Aww, I’m so sorry you had such an awful experience in Bali😢 I would have went completely off on they azz!!!

Thank you for watching the full video and comprehending my viewpoints!
U had absolutely NO luck. Thanks for sharing
Ikr! No luck at all!!
But I thought you wanted to meet people. Pictures is a fun way to meet people

Tasha, thank you so much for your input. It’s really helpful! Enjoy your future journeys. 😊
Wow cousin. This was on my list.. now I’m not sure.

I personally think it's been overrun by foreigners for many years now, and has long lost its charm
Probably, other people loved their time in Bali. Just was not a fit for me.

Go to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia you will not regret it for sure.
Thanks for the suggestion! I have it on my list🙂.
That's on my list
Maybe they never seen a beautiful queen before. As a cigar connoisseur i would have been pissed plus a not good pairing drink smh
Thank you for the compliment 🙂. I was so upset…so I just got cocktails.
Your attitude nonsense can you bring your Western attitude to a happy place
Clearly you lack comprehension skills! Be blessed!
Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth (NO)
Lol, exactly!!!

Yes. I enjoyed my first week in Ubud…but after that it was tough.
Invest in your audio, it's terrible. Not a dis just the reality of it. Listen to other travel content creators and compare. ❤
Thanks for watching
We can here just fine🙄
I thought it was my laptop. I had to turn the volume AAAAALL the way up and the sound was still low.
This experience would be annoying even if it was America- like we’re from another planet!
