Wish they were still like this now, as in the older stuff is so much better than the newer stuff with energy, still love the newer stuff but their first 3 albums and live album were never to be beaten, awesome stuff.
What will you sell With the glasses and suit Heart and soul It won't wear out That's not enough I want what's inside Fish fillet knife would cut right through my eyes I'm looking for some words To call my own Not worn-out phrases and hand-me-downs They'll knock me In where I stand Put on its back In a corned beef can I'm going under You can feel them stripping me down To the rust inside This is the way Frankenstar is born From bits and pieces others have worn All held together by a management glue Too much glue, and the stars turn blue Turn blue Turn blue Turn blue Turn blue I'm going under You can feel them pulling me down To the holes inside I, I,I, I I, I,I, I,I, I,I, I I, I,I
In their peak, so much slower now, still good but not as energetic in their songs both lyrically and physically, but songs as powerful as this should keep a smile on all our faces..
Moz slags James off in 1 of his songs cuz they are successful, wonder what song lol, talk about being a loser, I'm a Moz fan but only his music not him or his way of thinking.
There is a better singer and his name is Morrissey. The Smiths did a better cover of this song with all Mozzers howls made it 10 times the song. The Magic of Mozzer!!!
You serious, first of all it was not the smiths it was morrissey solo, and it was a B-side only on a morrissey tape version not the CD or Vinyl version, I like Moz's music but not him and he did an ok job just ok, nothing like this.
The Smiths did cover it, not Moz, but as with most songs, the original artist does it best. The Smiths and James are my two favourite bands ever, so I like that The Smiths covered it, it is a compliment to James.
How is it possible? How can a track be so vibrant, so pulsating, so good?
Just a lost classic I'd say, what a night that was......this image of Tim is what I will always hold dearest.

Totally agree
That's what age does to you 🤷♂️
What will you sell
With the glasses and suit
Heart and soul
It won't wear out
That's not enough I want what's inside
Fish fillet knife would cut right through my eyes
I'm looking for some words
To call my own
Not worn-out phrases and hand-me-downs
They'll knock me
In where I stand
Put on its back
In a corned beef can
I'm going under
You can feel them stripping me down
To the rust inside
This is the way
Frankenstar is born
From bits and pieces others have worn
All held together by a management glue
Too much glue, and the stars turn blue
Turn blue
Turn blue
Turn blue
Turn blue
I'm going under
You can feel them pulling me down
To the holes inside
I, I,I, I
I, I,I, I,I, I,I, I
I, I,I
In their peak, so much slower now, still good but not as energetic in their songs both lyrically and physically, but songs as powerful as this should keep a smile on all our faces..
The Smiths' live cover of this song suits the lyrics better than the original, although James' talent is undeniable.
This original is so much better than the cover by the Smiths. Mozza has lots to learn from Tim

ricky wood which song mate?
Morrissy is shite
I prefer The Smiths version, I think it has more energy to it (even if Morrissey gets some of the lyrics wrong 😂)
A bug on his back in a corned beef hand..
corned beef can?
Tim much better dancer than Morrissey
but he isn't better looking

@@rickywood2369 it was the Smiths dingbat
Smiths version is terrible absolutely butchers a James classic
Used to love this group. They went 7 piece awful in the blink of an eye. Live shows like U2. Yuck.
