I got it in a bargain bin in a toy shop late into the 360 life span for around $3-5 so cheap for a game at the time , played it a bit and was disappointed... Army of two was a far better game it it was nowhere near perfect. Kane and lynch could always have been such a great game but was always missing the mark, I think they where rushed. Or forgot the similar classics such as max pain, punisher, gears, even just the multiplayer ideas where good but implementation absolutely awful.
ngl i still respect that either way.. we just don't have that kind of innovative unconventional games anymore. even if it didn't worked, at least the developers toyed with the idea and made something experimental. nowadays every single game pretty much follows the same formula, there is no originality and unconventional method in mainstream games anymore. which is also why I respect Death stranding, coz even tho the game itself was pretty boring. kojima at least tried to do something different, he didn't just followed the same formula as everyone were expecting him to make something silent hill or metal gear related after leaving Konami
I remember the multi-player for this game. It was a good concept, 4-10 players cooperate in robbing locations. If you make it out, you share a cut with the survivors. But at any point someone could go off and start killing people to solo the heist instead for all the gains.

Some that made the getaway vehicle show up immediately if you kill the last player (the vehicle would take about two to five minutes to show up) and some that allowed you to decrease damage taken based on how many allied players you still had. It was pretty fleshed out. Used to run with a big group that would occasionally mess with each other. But for the most part we just wanted to complete all of it together.

Robbers who die respawn as cops and get a second chance to get some money that round, unless they died as traitors. Robbers who don't betray the team have to split the earnings equally amongst themselves, while traitors keep everything they took for themselves. Cops get a small portion of money taken from dead robbers.
Most plot twist of all time, where the main character in the end now realized he was Kane and Lynch 2 the whole time, and prevented the days from becoming dog
It's a relentless manhunt in an ugly and dim city for two people who want out but get sucked in deeper with every move they make. The shaky cam feels so detached from the characters that the player himself is degraded to some kind of voyeur. I liked that.

You know, you said the word "manhunt" and then it hit me why I like this game so much: because, thematically, it kinda reminds me of Manhunt!
Kane and Lynch 2 is one of my all time favs along with No One Lives Forever, Deus Ex 1, Yakuza 0, and GTA SA. Its also one of my favorite short single player shooters along with Spec Ops The Line and Rogue Warrior as I found all these 3 to be immensely replayable because how unique and interesting they all are.
I swear I am once going to make a FPS game and everything will be destructible in a fun way, just for oboeshoesgames to comment on how nice the stuff explodes

I believe it says "happy restitution day" which is a national holiday in Australia on the 13th of February every year, it's more commonly known as National Apology day or "sorry day" in which the Australian government officially apologises for it's brutal treatment of the indigenous Australians and many human rights abuses and atrocities committed against them
Thematically about the jacket Lynch wore, it's fitting, due to how the chaos, and destruction the duo, Lynch included, bring whenever the duo goes somewhere. The very definition of human typhoon.

fun fact: originally on PC you had to unplug your ethernet cable before you launched the game and then hastily plug it back before the title screen to avoid having it crash on start up. my friend and I did this over eight times during our playthrough.
Positives : This game had a great idea to make things uglier, grittier and make things as realistic as possible. Negative : Repetitive, Short and can hurt you physicly.

At least until the part where you have to run around naked, covered in blood, and fighting a bulletsponge SWAT Team that doesn't die instantly from headshots. Every other enemy dies instantly from headshots, but not that SWAT Team because they wear helmets. The game is pretty atmospheric and has a unique visual style, like something out of LiveLeak or like there's a cameraman following Kane and Lynch around and making a documentary on them. The cutscene where Kane and Lynch get arrested even explicitly has one of the soldiers putting his hands over the camera to shut it off! The worst thing about Kane and Lynch 2 is that they leave the cameraman behind to get arrested or killed by the cops. He was the best character in the entire game and they just let him die like that. If the graphics are too nauseating, turn on SteadiCam (Controls section) and turn off Fullscreen Effects (Graphics section, or use the game launcher).

Cuba and the jungle almost made me quit - the parts of the game I enjoyed were nice Michael Mann tributes. It just bored me personally to tears. I just like Dog Days' courage to be grimy, filthy and entirelly different. But I'm very much okay with you hating it, no worries. I'd never claim Dog Days to be a *good* game ;-) Just a very weird and unique one I got some enjoyment out of.

This the first time someone mentioning this and i whole heartly agree with it. Max Payne 3's aesthetic was inspired by Tony Scott's movies (particularly Man on Fire) and his visual style was all about speed and kinetic feel, it served the purpose of his fast paced movies. but not with MP3. MP3 was a more gritty noir story, and that aesthetic just did not fixed with it.
I loved this game. I found the whole fly on the wall action documentary style really unique. I boot it up once in a while and do speed runs since it's a pretty short game.
This game is genuinely something I think anyone (that can) should. It has suck a unique perspective and I think it carries the entire game and gives it a theme of desperation that not many games can give.

Bulletstorm isn't forgettable to me! It lives rent free in my head as one of my favorite shooters. I played it religiously when it came out and for years after. I replayed it for the first time in years a few months ago with the remaster and even though the plot doesn't hold up as well as I thought, the set pieces and insanely fun gameplay definitely does.

The artistic direction made the game interesting to play. The shooting wasn't really fun, though, but maybe that was partially the point, to go with the grimy aesthetics
Somehow this game just completely nails a cohesive and transcendent experience from start to finish. It doesn't try to be anything it isn't and delivers on capturing the atmosphere unlike almost any game I have ever played.
I'm no gonna say that this was a good game but i remember it quite fondly. Maybe because i played it at a friends house while having pizza and beer. The lesson is that it does not matter how bad a game is you can always have fun if you have beer, pizza and a friend with you.

I honestly miss these types of action movies game I would play after watching great action movie. Maxpayne 3 and Uncharted 2 were some of the best games to capture that feel.
Okay, seeing the protagonists running around, _running,_ with their bodies covered in shallow lacerations... for starters, how are they not bleeding to death? Are all those wounds clotting safely? What about infection? Not setting in yet, maybe, but that many open wounds, you're looking at a bacterial world war across your whole body, yes? Maybe they found some way to wash off, but then they'd still need to bandage up very, very thoroughly. Pretty sure running out in the street would not be your priority, even if (and this is a big if) you weren't completely paralyzed by a little thing called crippling pain. Willpower is one thing. Having literally no room to think or control your muscles because your brain is overloaded with agony signals, also a thing. And they're just casually running around, tanking further injury from gunfire (Hey Kane, it's kinda startin' to hurt!) and returning fire with even a modicum of accuracy? I suppose the game was never really going for realism, but this is like if Saw had a bit that was weirdly shooter-y and went on way too long.
Theory, they're already dead at that time (given how the game began in a flashback leading to that point) and the rest of the game is just a lucid dream as they're dying as the brain scrambles to use its last powers to ease up the pain, given: -the abrupt ending -the menu never leaves Shanghai -arcade mode
Game would have been a lot better without the shaky cam running, every time I run it feels like the shaky camera Gears of War if it was having a seizure
I remember I found out about this game when I was 8 years old and saw an ad for it in my, "The Flash: Brightest Day, issue 1" comic book. I saw that and thought it would be so gritty but I new my mom wouldn't let me play it. I forgot about the game and now I am reminding of it at the age of 20. Not sad I missed out.
I always liked this game for some reason. The only problem is that they released it as a AAA game with AAA price tag and then they were surprised that it didn't sell enough copies. This should have been a $40 game back in the day.

Bulletstorm isn't forgettable to me! It lives rent free in my head as one of my favorite shooters. I played it religiously when it came out and for years after. I replayed it for the first time in years a few months ago with the remaster and even though the plot doesn't hold up as well as I thought, the set pieces and insanely fun gameplay definitely does.
Bulletstorm was really good awesome shooter wish it got a sequel.

As an Australian I have zero idea as to what that day was suppose to say. Besides the usual Christian holidays we only really commemorate ANZAC day, Rememberance day and Australia day.

I actually just had a root canal done and it took like 7 minutes and was basically painless. This looks far longer and far more painful.
The artistic direction made the game interesting to play. The shooting wasn't really fun, though, but maybe that was partially the point, to go with the grimy aesthetics

Somehow this game just completely nails a cohesive and transcendent experience from start to finish. It doesn't try to be anything it isn't and delivers on capturing the atmosphere unlike almost any game I have ever played.
Not only do I not think this game is bad but it's probably the best action game I've ever played.
I'm no gonna say that this was a good game but i remember it quite fondly. Maybe because i played it at a friends house while having pizza and beer. The lesson is that it does not matter how bad a game is you can always have fun if you have beer, pizza and a friend with you.

I honestly miss these types of action movies game I would play after watching great action movie. Maxpayne 3 and Uncharted 2 were some of the best games to capture that feel.

Okay, seeing the protagonists running around, _running,_ with their bodies covered in shallow lacerations... for starters, how are they not bleeding to death? Are all those wounds clotting safely? What about infection? Not setting in yet, maybe, but that many open wounds, you're looking at a bacterial world war across your whole body, yes? Maybe they found some way to wash off, but then they'd still need to bandage up very, very thoroughly. Pretty sure running out in the street would not be your priority, even if (and this is a big if) you weren't completely paralyzed by a little thing called crippling pain. Willpower is one thing. Having literally no room to think or control your muscles because your brain is overloaded with agony signals, also a thing. And they're just casually running around, tanking further injury from gunfire (Hey Kane, it's kinda startin' to hurt!) and returning fire with even a modicum of accuracy?
I suppose the game was never really going for realism, but this is like if Saw had a bit that was weirdly shooter-y and went on way too long.
Theory, they're already dead at that time (given how the game began in a flashback leading to that point) and the rest of the game is just a lucid dream as they're dying as the brain scrambles to use its last powers to ease up the pain, given:
-the abrupt ending
-the menu never leaves Shanghai
-arcade mode

I remember I found out about this game when I was 8 years old and saw an ad for it in my, "The Flash: Brightest Day, issue 1" comic book.
I saw that and thought it would be so gritty but I new my mom wouldn't let me play it. I forgot about the game and now I am reminding of it at the age of 20. Not sad I missed out.
I always liked this game for some reason. The only problem is that they released it as a AAA game with AAA price tag and then they were surprised that it didn't sell enough copies. This should have been a $40 game back in the day.
The game is currently 99 cents on Steam. I watched this video and that price is 98 cents too much
