Have you checked off Bookoff? They have comics too. I'm in your kneck of woods lols. There's also a business with a warehouse where you have to schedule to check out. They have an extensive collection. :D
Yeah key issues and Golden Age books are the best, they have pretty high prices on the wall books so I don't tend to grab those. I am always hunting for the best bargain regardless of the book.

@@pop-comics It indeed would be great. You live in a great area. I live in a small town and no comic book stores. I do go out little further to get comics but I can't go but once a month or up to a few months. Many comics I loved to find but I have got comics off of eBay so that helps out some! 😊
Great channel and videos. So much fun to see the comics books you obtain and your passion for comics. You buy a lot of comics consistently, I was wondering how you sell your comics. Aren't comics hard to sell and ship? Takes a lot of time. If you don't sell, you would need a warehouse to store them all, ha ha. Nah this was just part of my 3 hour walk I did on the walking channel, but I thought it was fun enough to clip out for the comic channel. Its not a finished video that I would normally do.
This was their down town location which is a bit smaller then their main location up town but about the same size as their second uptown location. They also have an outlet store I need to get to sometime soon.

I will say something very unpopular, but I find the American comics scene extremely sad, this is due to the lack of variability of the works produced given that the vast majority of these concern the world of superheroes, with this I don't mean to say that it is wrong in itself to create works on this topic, what I don't like is, as said before, that there is a very poor choice of genre/themes, so much so that in the USA the rule comics=superheroe now applies and that comics that don't concern superheroes are now l 'exception. Comics are a very powerful artistic medium that can span extremely different genres: from historical themes, to noir, to sophisticated science fiction, to social novels, etc... and to see that Americans cannot conceive that there could be something else to represent beyond outside of a masked hero is simply disheartening. This is why I consider French comics culture clearly superior to American culture.
That is only if you focus on Marvel and DC, I personally love the wide selection of indi books. So many great comics on Image, Darkhorse, IDW etc. As someone outside the US market, you might not realize there is so much more out there. The cool thing is we get a bunch of the French translations so I can enjoy those as well.
Haha I just decided to snip out the clip from the walking channel for the comic channel. I might have to do that for a while until I figure out how to comfortably do comic videos again.
Yup, In Japan people wear mask while being sick or after being sick to help their fellow citizens. I would love to see that still happen in the US. If you feel sick wear a mask.

I always used to love going by the Midtown Comics store over by E 42 St near Grand Central whenever I was able to take a trip up to NYC. Good times! 🙂
Yeah its fun to visit their shops. The main shop is a short walk from that location as well. I like to visit both when I can.
I was by there on FCBD and they werent giving out comics you had to order them online. Its a nice shop though. Great footage.
Oh that is crazy, FCBD brings in so much foot traffic I have no idea why they did not give them out.

95% of my comic sales are just in my physical shop and not so much online. I tend to not like to sell things online due to the high labor costs.

You should get a gopro camera and a harness. Keeps your hands free. Lots of garage sale youtubers use them

No golden age only videos just haul videos. But I plan on doing some collection tour videos and live streams soon.
